"Perfect accommodation for a solo person working in the area."
On site parking and the Keysafe entry to the studio allowed total freedom to come and go at any time. I was welcomed by host Valerie on arrival and entered a delightful space where delicious fruit cake was waiting on the table, an ideal accompaniment to red wine which, fortunately, I had in my case :) The first chilly evenings of autumn had arrived but the electric heaters soon filled the studio with an enveloping warmth. The sitting area was cosy, the bed comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The bathroom with its pleasingly hot electric shower was a little cramped but served its purpose. The Wi-Fi worked well and there were an adequate number of 13 amp sockets for charging phones and laptops. There was not an opportunity to sit in the garden beside the large pond but it would have been idyllic on a warm evening. I was given some home grown apples when I left which are now deep inside several apple crumbles. Thank you for making this reasonably priced, peaceful accommodation available.

"A nice retreat - with very good use made of the limited space."
Owners freindly and helpful.

"A beautiful setting and lovely, simple accommodation."
I wanted a short break to get away from it all, and that was exactly what I got. The bathroom is very small, so tall or wide people (I am both!) will need to duck and squeeze!

"Small but very neat and comfortable."
First flight of stairs have an unusually high riser which needs major concentration to avoid an accident.

"Thanks so much to Val and David for a very peaceful and relaxing stay."
They are very charming hosts and the lodge was just was I needed, comfortable and clean and with great facilities. Thanks also for local tips and recommendations including walks and pubs. Would definitely stay again - highly recommended.

"Property was clean and very well presented, owners were very welcoming and happy to give advice on the local area."
Even though the apartment is on the grounds, we were given privacy with the use of the gardens and had our own parking. Home made scones and jam were a lovely touch

"Really nice place in the countryside to stay, we came for a mini break."
It was quiet and peaceful. It was a quaint little place ideal for two people looking for a relaxing break. The hosts were very welcoming and accomodating. The property was clean and tidy, and well maintained. Overall, if you looking for a peaceful, and relaxing place to stay this is the ideal place, espiecally in the garden when the weather is nice.

"I arrived on Friday for a 3 night break which I was very much in need of."
The property was small but well equipped and adequate for my needs, however there was a strong fusty smell as if the place needed a thorough airing/deep clean. I opened all the windows and went out in search of a shop where I could buy matches to light scented candles. I found nowhere due to the isolated location and the fact that it was Good Friday. I went back thinking I would get used to it. I was unable to relax and could not get the television to work (fortunately there were some old dvds). I rang the owners but couldn't get through due to there being no signal, so I sent a text message. (I never got a response) I went to bed in the hard and uncomfortable bed and woke up still feeling very disapointed and ill at ease. The smell had not abaited at all. I packed my bags and went to leave as I couldn't face another 2 nights there. I saw the owners as I left, they apologised and said that maybe I was very sensitive to smells!!! I didn't want to make a fuss, I just wanted to get home. I today contacted Sykes who got in touch with the owners, who have denied the refund for the 2 nights that I did not stay there. I think this was a fair request having spent an unsatisfactory first night and having travelled almost 80 miles to get there, and hoped that common decency would prevail. Sykes have said there is nothing more that I can do. So I am over £300 out of pocket and have an unsatisfactory 1 night stay to show for it. To say the customer service from both parties has been poor is un understatement!
In response to the guests' comments, I would like you to know that Milford Tree Tops was thoroughly cleaned before arrival and checked again, before the guest arrived, to switch on the fire making the room warm and welcoming. I greeted the guest as she came onto the drive, introducing myself and wishing her a pleasant stay. At the time I asked her to contact me if there was anything that she needed and I would be more than happy to help if I could. My mobile number and house telephone number are given to anyone booking but we received no calls on either and my door, across the courtyard, was never knocked - we were at home all evening. The TV engineer checked and confirmed that the TV was working correctly as long as the instructions were followed. These are written out in front of the television/video machine. We could hear what we assumed was the TV as the guest opened the window and the sound was very load. After any guests have stayed with us, I have asked them if they have been comfortable and enjoyed their break with us and all responses have been complimentary. Not everyone has written in our Visitors Book so the last person to write will not have been the last person to have stayed. We had visitors just over the week before this particular guest and so her comment about a "fusty smell and the studio had probably been shut up for a long period" is inappropriate. As far as a refund, the Sykes policy is that they do not consider one when the guest has not contacted them or the owners to allow time for either to remedy any problem. As stated in para 2 above, no contact was made. It was this guests decision to pack up and leave so Customer Service cannot be criticized. When anyone books to stay I presume that they would have read the description of the property and location. The fact that we are isolated, and it was Good Friday, should have made anyone think about what provisions might be needed and that was why I specifically ask all my guests if there is anything that they might need, to please ask me to help. This guest decided to go out on a wasted search which could have been resolved by knocking on the door of the house or giving us a ring on mobile or home number. Her journey of 80 miles to get to us has nothing to do with how much she has paid for renting. Property Owner

"I had the most wonderful, relaxing week at Milford Tree Tops."
The cottage has everything I needed and Valerie and David made me feel extremely welcome. The scones, fruit, produce from their garden and the use of their sun-lounger were lovely (thank you!). I enjoyed a circular walk from the cottage with beautiful views, which I did a few times, as well as walks in the surrounding area. I also enjoyed visiting Stokesay Castle, Ludlow, Much Wenlock etc., all within easy reach. It has been a lovely week and I really hope to return.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and it was lovely to meet you. We look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes Valerie & David Property Owner

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely, quiet location and found plenty to do, for a week, within easy reach."
The owners were friendly and very welcoming. The studio provided everything we needed and it was set in what felt like our own private garden.

"Had a fabulous solo week at Tree Tops, which was the perfect little hideaway."
Valerie and David were very welcoming and hospitable, as was Bella, their beautiful black Labrador! The studio had everything I needed and the location was great - I really couldn’t have asked for more. So lovely to stand at the farmhouse door and listen to the birds and nearby sheep. Highly recommend visiting Ludlow, inc the castle - Stokesay Castle and the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre are nearby and well worth a visit, as is the walled garden/hardy plant centre at Delbury Hall. Visit The Swan Inn, just up the road, for a lovely pub meal. All in all it was a super break - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tree Tops to anyone looking for some peace and quiet away from the rat race.
