    We used it has a base for Alton towers! Easy to find with clear instructions for entry. Very clean and everything has described in listing. Will be using again when in the area.

  • "The property was exactly as listed."

    It was very clean and comfortable with everything provided that you could possibly need, also lovely finishing touches, including welcome grocery items. We did need to contact the owner, who was very helpful and available.

  • "A lovely property."

    Clean, comfortable and light. Well equipped kitchen, nice location and just as described. Only thing that could have made it better would have been a non-slip bathmat and a grab handle in the shower. Otherwise excellent!

  • "Beautifully decorated and spotless cottage."

    All the equipment you could require. Beautiful linen in both bedrooms and very fluffy white towels. TV in each bedroom which is what we look for. We loved this cottage so much that we did not want to leave. We would not hesitate to rebook again, it was such a comfortable stay.

George’s Place is a semi-detached cottage settled in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands, wrapped in wonderful countryside in Kingsley Holt; perfectly located for walking amongst luscious greenery.

This all-ground floor property provides ideal sleeping arrangements for those with limited mobility and is the idyllic base for small families due to its easy commute to Alton Towers.

Conveniently, park up outside on the lengthy driveway; store your bikes in the garage and get ready for your holiday to begin!

Step inside to be welcomed by the capacious kitchen/diner, ample-equipped with all your culinary needs, cook up a storm in the electric cooker and when dinner is ready, gather around the dining table to enjoy a heart-warming meal.

After a mouth-watering dish, locate the sitting room, put your feet up and unwind with a Netflix film with a crisp, glass of wine at hand.

As the evening grows dark, choose between a sumptuous king-size bedroom or the twin bedroom, which is equally suited to adults or children, with full-size single beds and views on to the back garden.

Wake-up with an invigorating rinse in the shower room before joining your family at the outdoor table to soak in the rural setting.

Lace up your walking boots and embark on an adventure on a nature trail to take advantage of the Staffordshire Moorlands; take a picnic along with you and relish the outdoors.

Visit the unspoilt town of Leek to view stunning architecture along cobbled streets; boasting a shopping mall with independent shops, as well as the chance to try local produce at traditional butchers, bakers and be sure to experiment an Oatcake.

Take a trip to the picturesque town of Ashbourne for streets running with Tudor and Georgian buildings; steeped in history with alms-houses, traditional coaching inns and the intriguing front of the Grade I listed Old Grammar School.

Also located at the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands, you can visit the lovely picturesque market town of Cheadle.

With many historic buildings and features from the Georgian and Victorian eras, it can trace it’s routes back to medieval times.

Of particular significance is 'Pugin's Gem' the Roman Catholic church of St Giles which is considered to be the finest Victorian Gothic church in the country and a must see during a visit to the town.

Nearby, the Churnet Valley Railway takes you on a journey back to the 1950s and 1960s.

Take a break from busy urban life and hop on board a steam train at the nearby Froghall Station to ride in a heritage carriage behind one of our beautifully restored heritage steam or diesel locomotives.

Re-live the classic days of railway travel on a rural line that passes through beautiful countryside, with riverside views and the Caldon Canal, known as Staffordshire's "Little Switzerland".

Hiking enthusiasts may wish to travel further afield to the splendour of the Peak District National Park to absorb rugged landscapes, heather moorlands and limestone valleys.

Alton Towers 8 miles; Leek 10 miles; Stoke-on-Trent 10 miles.

Kingsley is a quaint rural village in the Staffordshire countryside. It is home to a couple of pubs and the Kingsley Bird & Falconry Centre which makes for a fascinating day out. Just eight miles away is Alton Towers Theme Park, where kids of all ages can test their nerve on a wide selection of rides. The Staffordshire Way, a long distance walking route, runs through the village, and there is a vast selection of walks for all abilities on the doorstep, plus there is an excellent golf course in Whiston. The Peak District National Park is easily accessed to the north, whist the Pottery towns of Stoke-on-Trent have a wide array of interesting museums to visit. There are also fascinating relics of the area’s industrial heritage - the Caldon canal (built in 1776 and restored and opened for navigation in 1974) runs through the valley and visitors will enjoy a scenic ride on the Churnet Valley Railway steam trains. A great touring base for exploring all of the Peak District and the Staffordshire Moorlands.
