  • "Lovely accommodation overlooking village cricket ground."

Well situated for the shops, pubs & restaurants. Walks from the door over stunning scenery, with various levels of difficulty to select from. Only downside is parking can be an issue.

Combining contemporary with traditional, this elegant and extremely comfortable home is a perfect base to explore the peak district and beyond.

Enjoy the views from each of the 4 storeys, or from the private garden; the house backs on to the village cricket field, the heart of the village, and there are wonderful views of the village and hills beyond.

On match days, the garden is a great vantage point to view the cricket, you can even see the scoreboard without getting up from your seat!

Stepping into the spacious hallway with separate cloakroom and WC, you will find the kitchen diner on your right where an afternoon snack will be awaiting your arrival.

The kitchen is well equipped and adjacent to one of the main sitting rooms with dining table.

Move into the main sitting room and light up the open fire in winter months or relax on the balcony; no matter what time of year you visit, this room is the perfect place for everyone to gather for an evening of family time together, whether you are sank into the sofas or playing a board game at the dining table.

You have the option of a second sitting room at the garden level, this is a good spot to take time out, settle down with a good book, catch up on work or watch a DVD.

Seek comfort after a full day of fun in one of the four good sized bedrooms, choosing from a double with a Juliet balcony, a further double, a twin and a master suite with king sized bed and en suite at the top of the house.

All have snug settings, comfortable beds and ample storage space.

Begin your mornings on the private terrace with a good coffee in hand, as you return, utilise the rear entrance via the ginnel, a boon for cyclists!

HAYFIELD

Chapel-en-le-Frith 4 miles; Glossop 5 miles; Buxton 8 miles.

The delightful High Peak village of Hayfield is situated in a wonderful rural setting on the north western edge of the Peak National Park. It’s a peaceful little village, popular with walkers who are attracted by its close proximity to Kinder Scout. Serious walkers head east out of the village, up and over the green foothills to the russet expanse of the Kinder Plateau, Pennine Way and Snake Path, whilst families (and those who enjoy more gentle rambles) head west along the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills. Edale – an alternative start of the Pennine Way - is only a few miles away. The village caters well for tourists with pubs, cafes and restaurants. Other local attractions include the Goyt Valley, Castleton – with its famous caverns - and the popular spa town of Buxton.
