  • "It is set up as a longterm rental, not a short stay holiday let."

Garden u kept and not secure and not attached to property. No extras provided from cleaning products to reading/entertainment. WiFi poor. Run by management team not individual. Busy road and a very early morning active dairy farm opposite. Positive - good location for visiting anywhere in Peak District

  • "Beautiful property and surrounding area, Garden is a suntrap."

The most comfortable bed iv ever slept on at a holiday let.. felt so chilled and didn't want to come home. Very clean and spacious, 3 floors with kitchen on 2nd floor. Great for walkers as everything is in easy commute. The Crispin inn at great longstone is a fantastic place for pub lunch.

Thanks so much Isabel! So happy you enjoyed it and we hope to see you back soon! Have a lovely summer!! Property Owner

About the location

CALVER

Baslow 1.5 miles; Eyam 2 miles; Bakewell 5 miles.

The delightful, traditional village of Calver lies in the shadow of Froggatt Edge and Curbar Gap, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. A wonderfully traditional village with a Post Office and a country pub serving good food, Calver is close to the National Trust-owned Longshaw Estate, and less than five miles from Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. As well as a traditional pub and Post Office, the pretty village of Calver has a cafe, petrol station, small supermarket selling local produce, a craft shop and a gallery, and is a wonderful base for walks, climbing and mountain biking. The village of Baslow with shops, pubs and restaurants is only a mile and a half away, and a further range of amenities can be found in the market town of Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District and home to the famous Bakewell pudding. Haddon Hall is close by, as is the historic village of Eyam with its selection of pubs, cafes and a craft centre, meaning a day out in the parish of Curbar can be enjoyed by all. Castleton, the home of the Blue John and Speedwell caverns, is 8.5 miles away and offers boat tours through underground caves. Hathersage, 2.7 miles away, is where you can find the Hathersage open-air swimming pool, which must be booked in advance, and, in the church yard, the grave of the legendary 'Little John'.
