  • "Lovely cottage set on a steep hill, nice veiws from all windows."

Not informed of any designated parking spaces, so it was park where possible on a steep narrow road. No instuctions on how to use the facilities, internet connection, gas fire, T.V, system, certral heating controls or cooker. That said we didnt let this spoil our time there, neither did the smoke detector going of whenever using the shower!

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the cottage & lovely views. We are surprised that you did not have the information stated as we included this in the information pack emailed to you 2 days after you booked. The smoke detector can be activated by heat if the bathroom door is left open after a shower (or if the extractor is not used). Unfortunately we do not have designated parking. Property Owner

The cottage is in a great location at the top of the village, 1 mins walk from nice pub The White Hart Inn and 5 mins walk to a good coop. A bit steep walking back up with shopping so best to drive. The cottage is tastefully decorated and homely and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. Lovely walks in the immediate vicinity and a great base to explore the area from. Enjoyed being in Bradwell! Would love to come again. Thanks from Astrid and Nick

Clean, cosy, well equipped, comfortable, very pretty and with a sweet garden and lovely views. Great and helpful communication from the owner and a delightful welcome gift of wine and cookies. The village was great; quiet but with everything you need, small supermarket, village shop, bakery and pubs. Great walks almost from the door and well situated for Castleton with it's caves and walks to MamTor, Lose Hill etc. All in all just couldn't fault this lovely holiday rental.

  • "We enjoyed our stay here in this lovely cottage which has fab views."

This was our first time booking a cottage with Sykes and we were a bit nervous about it but needn’t have worried. Immediate confirmation of the booking came through from Sykes and the owners themselves. Lots of information from the owners too via e mail prior to our stay and a phone call to provide the key code 2 days beforehand. The cottage itself is small but cosy & had everything we needed for a 2 night stay, lovely & clean, we slept well (maybe all the walking we did!) and loved the area. The owners even check in with you the day after arrival to make sure you’re settling in ok which is a lovely touch. The one thing it might be worth mentioning is the steep path from where you park to the cottage , which we were ok with but someone else may not be., to be expected though I guess in this beautiful area. Overall we recommend it , and would stay again!

The property was lovely and was plenty size for our family of 4. It was really comfortable and the views were amazing. The only downside was a cream carpet where the dinning table was and having a 6 year old meant we had to be extra careful. Lots to do in the area including lovely walks nearby. Our 6 year old visited the local park (lots of equipment including zip wire), which was only minutes walk away, every morning!

It is a perfect base for a wide variety of places to visit as well as having lovely walks around Bradwell on the doorstep. The local people were super which was important as parking is an issue for all. Good landlords. Parking was a nightmare and would be the only reason , i would not recommend using this cottage again.

We are pleased you enjoyed the cottage and its facilities. Sorry to learn that you found parking difficult. Many traditional Derbyshire Cottages like ours do not have a private parking space. This is stated on the description. There is generally a place to park on the roadside. Perhaps there were some additional visitors or trades people in the area during your stay.
