  • "We had a wonderful stay at Bradshaw House."

The accommodation is well set out with a useful kitchen, lounge area, dining room and bedrooms/bathroom upstairs. One bedroom had a double, the other a double and a single and the smaller room a single at the time of stay. All the beds were very comfortable and we slept well after many hours of walking. Location wise it’s on the edge of Castleton, a few minutes walk to all the pubs and shops. It’s a great base for walking A I’d recommend Mam Tor and the Peak Ridge or over to Kinder Scout if you are a bit more adventurous - we did one the first day and the other the second. When I had a query prior to arriving I spoke with the owner and he was very friendly and helpful. The TV had a Roku stick or something similar so lots of streaming services were available. I’d heartily recommend, it was a great base for our long weekend.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave this feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Bradshaw House. We very much look forward to you and your group returning. Property Owner

  • "An incredible location this is a very charming and well looked after cottage with amazing walks from the door."

A lot of care is taken to make it comfortable and cozy. 2 of the bedrooms are generous and well appointed. The third is very small. Overall we loved it. There were a few small issues. The bath did not run hot but the shower was great. We could not open the kitchen door to the garden, which would have been a shame in the summer. Eating outside would have been too cold in April anyway. There were no instructions for the AGA but 2 air fryers. We found these things quirky but overall they didn't really affect our stay.

Hi Ann-Marie, Thank you so much for taking time to leave a review for us. We truly appreciate it. Thank you for your lovely comments. We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced during your stay ☹️, thank you for letting us know about them, that way we can help to put things right We cannot figure out why the Chubb lock didn’t work but we have plans in place to change it now. If you return for another visit please, do not hesitate to contact us if you run into problems with the property. We’ll do our best to sort things out quickly for you. Contact details are in the guest information book Instructions for the Rayburn should be in the guest information folder. I hope you were able to find it. It is full of instructions on how to use the various appliances but we will make sure the Rayburn instructions are displayed in the kitchen in future We hope you found the air fryer and Ninja oven easy and quick to use. We are trying to be as green as possible, these appliances help us to tick that box The bath running cold is disappointing - plumber now booked You are absolutely spot on, the location is incredible isn’t it? The Peaks are a magical part of the uk and Castleton is a beautiful and remarkable village with a fascinating history. We’re so pleased you enjoyed it. Take care and thank you for staying with us. Best wishes, Yvonne and Dan. Property Owner

  • "Bradshaw House was a great base from which to explore this part of the Peaks, with lots of interesting walks straight from the door."

Very warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Owners available by phone, but not needed during our stay. The photo does show this to some extent, but may helpful to know that the single room is very small so would suit a younger child better than a teenager/adult. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Hi, thank you for taking time to give us feedback. It helps a lot ☺️ Point taken about the single bedroom. We will change the description. So pleased to hear you had a lovely stay. Take care and thanks again, Yvonne and Dan. Property Owner

  • "We loved our stay at Bradshaw cottage."

It was very warm and comfortable, which was great for our winter stay. The place was very spacious and roomy for all our guests. We loved the proximity to all the wonderful walks and the information book was useful. Although it was quite misty when we visited I can imagine the views from the tiered garden are wonderful on a clear day. The only point for improvement, which is minor, would be that it would have been good to have been provided a few dishwasher tablets (or said to bring our own) and more loo roll, considering our guest numbers and the length of our stay. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Many thanks for the feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have made a couple of recent changes to ensure essential supplies are readily available. Hope to see you again soon. Property Owner
