"As soon as we opened the front door you are instantly hit with an overwhelming smell of damp."
There were silver snail / slug trails over the carpet. The sofa was damp so couldn’t sit down. Kettle/ toaster didn’t work. The house was filthy, cobwebs, dirty walls and headboards. We were a group of 7 ladies and there were 4 towels. Back door was broken. Decking for the hot tub was filthy. Needles to say we cut our trip short and checked out a day early. We were all so disappointed. 3 ladies out of the group of 7 have since fallen poorly with bad chests.

"I have sent a message regarding the stay as the house was not clean at all and there were other issues such as a bed not being made up and no bedding."
Awaiting a response from you. This property could be so good with a bit of care and some basic cleaning standards.

"This was the perfect house for our gathering, couldn't fault it, very clean, comfortable and at a great price too."
Very well presented , loved the decor, and the open plan kitchen / living area was a great space to all be together. Our host was also very accommodating and helpful. It was in a great location , once we'd parked we didn't need the car for the rest of the weekend, some gorgeous bars and resteraunts, very impressed with shrewsbury as well as the gorgeous house.
Thanks for the positive feedback,... it's refreshing when guests take the time to leave a Good Review and spend their time enjoying the town and the house. Property Owner

"AVOID this property!"
I am not one for leaving bad reviews but really feel I had no choice here as the owner not only has no regard for his guest’s safety or cares if they have a comfortable stay, but he has ignored me and made me out to be a liar! The place is advertised as ‘luxury’. I can see how maybe it once was, as it’s thoughtfully decorated and it’s in a great location - however it’s tired and not in a great state of repair (dirty marks on the walls / damaged furniture etc). The whole place needs a thorough deep clean. The owner’s standard of cleanliness are simply not up to scratch, as even when I presented him with photos (filthy fridge seals / kitchen cupboards with food debris / mouldy bathroom tiles etc), he brushed it off as nothing. For me, a place being clean is one of the most important factors in a holiday rental and our whole party felt uneasy with how unclean it was - particularly the kitchen. We had a 2 nights stay and on our last night we returned to the property late at night to find a leak from the living room ceiling. It had damaged some of our things that were on the table and appeared to be coming from the ceiling light, which was extremely worrying. When raised with the owner, he brushed this off as nothing, as he did with all the other concerns I raised. Looking back at previous reviews, which I wish I’d done before booking, this is clearly an on going issue that hasn’t been resolved. The leak happens in heavy rain. Frankly, it’s an accident waiting to happen - it’s dangerous and shouldn’t be rented to guests until resolved!!

"Without doubt, the worst holiday let we have ever had the displeasure of renting."
Prior to our stay we had noticed reviews going back to January indicating an issue with a leak through a light fixture above the dining table. Water and electricity mixing like this is a disaster waiting to happen, and many of the reviews mentioned that the owner was unresponsive about the issue, and that Sykes had failed to take any action. We contacted Sykes before our stay and explained that we were concerned about the condition of the property. They told us that it was a very serious concern but that there's a process to follow and that we need to turn up at the property and wait for the issue to actually start occurring, at which point they would act promptly to get us moved to other suitable lodgings. So we turned up at the property and you can tell that it was a nice place at one time, but frankly, it's turned into a bit of a dive. Cracks in many of the windows, even a fully broken section in the front room that has been stuck back on with sellotape, cracked floor tiles everywhere, ants in the dining area, mold on the bathroom ceiling, doors that lock themselves for no reason, freezer door hanging off, kitchen utensils and food prep area filthy. Under the bed sheets, the mattresses were similarly filthy, pretty sure one of us was bitten by something. Eventually, after some heavy rain, the main issue arose with the light. We contacted Sykes, who were actually shut as it was the evening but their automated message gave an out of hours number we could use. We called this number twice and reported the issue, but had no response. We then called Sykes the next day and they said this was absolutely unacceptable and that they would contact the owner immediately on our behalf. We later got an email to say they had been in touch with the owner. Nothing else happened... Feeling bitterly disappointed by this whole experience we checked out a little late (30 minutes), hoping to bump into the owner, which we did. I confronted him about the issues with the house and he refused to take any responsibility for anything. "It's an LED light so no one would have been electrocuted" he told me. What kind of logic is that? This man had an answer for everything and none of those answers made any sense. 8.1.4 of Sykes' own terms states that the owner will ensure that the Property is properly maintained, clean, tidy and in good repair at the start of the Holiday Period; Apparently the owner has never read these, but was very keen to point out the breach of our terms in that we were checking out late, to which we pointed that we had to spend 3 hours cleaning the kitchen on arrival. At this point he strongly implied that we were making it all up which really got under my skin and I raised my voice at him, which I'm not proud of, and later apologised for. I am a very reasonable person, but when you are taking people's money for a service, you need to take some level of responsibility for what you are providing. We had further discussions with Sykes, who made more promises, and then seem to have lost interest and dropped our case. It's no wonder the owner of the property kept telling us to take up the issue with Sykes, knowing full well that their customer support is like shouting into a void. Avoid Sykes Cottages. Avoid Marine Terrace.

"Avoid staying in this property!"
We stayed at marine terrace for a weekend. On first arrival we were initially pleased with the house however problems began to arise the longer we were there. There are a number of broken tiles on the kitchen floor these are dangerous especially if you have a baby - you need shoes/slippers on whilst in the kitchen to avoid cutting your feet. Secondly there is a leak that comes through a light fitting above the dining table when it rains, it is not a small leak it is a big one. When I contacted Andrew about this he did not reply. On returning home I have contacted Sykes and have been informed because it is a health and safety issue they cannot resolve it - I do not understand that logic. There is a health and safety issue in one of the houses they are the booking agent for yet they do not wish to address it!
As mentioned to the guest via Sykes when the requested a 100% refund after leaving the property,.. we are aware of some cracked tiles in the kitchen as a result of some flooding which raised the kitchen floor in Jan (the house is on the river and so suspectable to flooding which every year we combat and deal with,.. look out for Marine Terrace on the news every year!). The tiles are not loose, now have a matt covering them and are scheduled to be replaced as soon as is possible around various schedules. The minor leak in the lounge is intermittent and we have made numerous attempts to locate and fix,.. it's unclear whether it's from outside or from the bathroom above (the bathroom is now scheduled to be sealed completely rather than just the shower tray) and we continue to look at the outside area. But it should be noted that it is not bad and in this case when I was notified after the guest had checked out it was completely dried up by the time we arrived to clean the house. Property Owner

"Fabulous location, nice and close to the high street."
The view is simply stunning of the river, very tranquil. The house is decorated to a high standard and fabulously quirky. There is just the one room in the loft that requires attention. We also found the owner to be responsive and helpful. Overall I would highly recommend this property.
Thanks for the nice comments,.. it's an old house which needs constant attention which we try and do to as high a standard as possible. Property Owner

"After reading a couple of poor reviews about the property since I booked it, I was apprehensive and a little worried about what I had booked."
I emailed the owner to ask about the negative reviews and he was very quick to come back to me with explanations and reassurances. The location of the house was perfect for a stay in Shrewsbury, picturesque setting on the riverbank. Within minutes you are in the centre of Shrewsbury with the wonderful array of independent shops, bars, restaurants and coffee shops. The house itself was spotlessly clean with good quality bedding and towels. The bedrooms are all very roomy, the beds comfortable, we all had a great sleep each night. It is peaceful with no noise at night. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to for preparing a meal, if you wished. All cleaning, washing up products were provided. We used the Hot Tub, the area created is lovely, private and perfect for sitting out in at night. Whilst we were there I contacted the owner Andrew with a small issue with the Hot Tub, he was quick to respond and sorted the matter straight away. We would definitely book this house again.
Thanks for the lovely feedback. If only we could pick and choose our guests or indeed review them as they do us,.. things may be a little different! Property Owner

"We loved the view, location and comfortable bedrooms."
The shared spaces were good but we felt that some of the rugs and surfaces needed a deep clean. There was some tea and coffee, thank you, but a pint of milk would have been welcome. There were no dishwasher tablets, no cloth to wipe surfaces or clean dishes. We purchased the latter but dishwasher tablets were a bit costly so didn't use it. With these tweaks, this could easily be five stars.
Thanks for your feedback,... On your comments,... the rugs are swapped out every few weeks and cleaned. There should have been Dishwasher Tabs and Tea Towels, apologies if we'd not replenished these. We don't normally do Tea, Coffee, Sugar, etc as it's hard to know where to stop and then of course some folks don't like pre-opened products,.. but occasionally folks leave fresh stuff which we do leave for subsequent guests. "I am very upset that you do not check your properties."
This property's pictures of their out door space is incorrect. The hot tub area is much smaller than in pictures, it had a cover on that was ripped to bits, it was all grotty outside so we didn't use it. The upstairs patio area looked awful too and was locked so we couldn't get out any way. The down stairs shower room had the towel rail hanging off the wall, the lock didn't work so we had a person locked in there for a while. Locks on an upstairs room was loose. The frying pans and oven tray should have been thrown away they were disgusting and rusty. It was quoted to have TV's in all the bedrooms, but we didn't have controls in most of the rooms. These are just a few things it was not up to standard at all !
The House has had some changes,.. but we'd consider them improvements. We do mention we've moved the Hot Tub,.. but that means there is now a small outdoor area to sit. It's locked (as all doors are) but there is a key,.. no one asked us how to open it. Locks on bathroom doors work fine,.. but it's an old house with original doors and so there aren't functioning locks on the bedroom doors (it's not something folks normally comment on). There were plenty of pans, frying pans, oven tray,.. it's a shame they focused on the one (it's since been discarded). There are 7 TVs in the house,.. all on Fire Sticks. Sometimes the remotes go walking from Room to Room. Property Owner

"Marine Terrace - AVOID - Andrew the owner does not deserve your custom and Sykes customer service - SHOCKING!"
The house is in desperate need of maintenance and upgrade. The pictures need to be updated as the property is run down! If you book this property, be prepared for electrical faults, dirt and rubbish. Oh and to top it off, you won't be able to use the hot tub! Health and Safety Hazard - We reported a health and safety hazard upon arrival (Andrew was informed, and Sykes. Andrew did not accept any responsibility, and made laughable excuses and refused to resolve issue, despite numerous attempts to notify Sykes and Andrew on how unsafe we felt in the property. There was water leaking via live electrical light fitting directly above the dinning table. Andrew admitted that there had been a leak on multiple occasions previous, but unable to find the source. However, when disputed with Sykes, Andrew blamed it on 'misuse' of shower, which is ironic considering the bathroom was not above the kitchen, is was a leak from the flat roof! It was a historical issue, and evident that there had been no attempt to fix. So if you do have an upcoming stay, expect to experience the same issue. We reported the issue to Sykes as an urgent case, but we were not contacted until the following day, considering there was an electrical fault, posing a risk to guest safety, it was unacceptable. When attempt was made for compensation for the terrible experience, Sykes allowed Andrew to lie and dismissed all our claims. Not what you would expect from a company such as Sykes! Rhys the customer service advisor was rude and dismissive. We were informed prior to arrival that the hot tub cover had broken in the snow (it had snowed the day we arrived). However, we were assured that it was in full working order. The cover had visible signs that is had been broken for some time with tatty duck tape. As the cover was broken, the heat escaped from the hot tub after first use, so we were unable to use for the rest of the stay. The patio door was faulty and very difficult to open, a big inconvenience. The cleanliness of the property was unacceptable. There was rubbish under the sofas and bed and dust and peeling paint. The location was great, but unloading was a massive inconvenience as loading bay still far from the property. I strongly advise you not to book this property! You will be left disappointed, and if you do try and complain, you will be silence and dismissed. You have been warned!
The pictures do need updating as it has been updated and new features added since the current photos on Sykes,... The above seems to focus on a leak we had which was minor and did not affect the guests stay. It's an old house on the river and so although it's been refurbished it does mean we are at the mercy of the weather sometimes but we do cope with Floods, Snow and Rain admirably. The Hot Tub worked fine and didn't work the 2nd evening because the Guests had altered the controls. The house is in the town centre overlooking the river and there is (as stated) a loading bay just 50m away. Then we offer parking advice on where to park cars either PAD or Free. The guest also has a problem with Sykes. Property Owner

"Wonderful house in excellent location."
We went as a group of friends and the house was perfect, we could walk along the river to the park or straight into town all very close. House is decorated to a high standard with everything you would need and the hot tub is a bonus! Perfect for a weekend of relaxing with a family or friends.
-
"We had a wonderful stay at Marine Terrace."
Would definitely love to stay at the house again. We had trouble working out how to heat the hot tub but the host came to sort it out very quickly! No issues, it was a lovely stay with a fantastic view.
-
"Good size accommodation and bedroom size for 8 of us."
A great location for walking into town for the shops, bars and restaurants. The house was well presented and clean and had all the facilities we wanted. We met the owner who was very friendly and accommodating. The only negative was the WiFi packed up when 8 people tried to log onto it, otherwise a very enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend the property to others.

"Had a lovely Stay."
Was a shame that we had a leak over the Dining Room table. Which we should of been inform off prior to our vist. I text the owner who replied that thinks it the up stairs shower room. But we would like to tell him via this feedback that it's the outside Terrace by the door were water collecks when it rain.Other than that its ideal were it is close to River and Shops. The unloading and loading was a bit of a pain as people park there During the Day. Would stay there again.
-
"Great location."
Lovely house. We couldn’t get the stereo to work and found the first floor bed that we slept in very uncomfortable. Andrew replied quickly when we did contact him with questions. Overall we would recommend the house and would stay again.
-
"Attention needed to outside area."
2nd floor outside seating area in need of a good clean, lots of long standing cobwebs & plant debris around. Hot tub area , again in need of good clean. Unable to use hot tub as very difficult to remove cover, no handles, very heavy plus in poor repair. Otherwise, the internal house facilities were excellent. House in a beautiful setting & close to all amenities. Be nice to have clearer instructions on using cooker & hobs . Would definately recommend it to others , was perfect for our 40th reunion of nurse training .
-
"The house was beautifully dressed and extremely comfortable."
The accommodation was very close to all amenities and lovely to step out of the front door and be on the river path within metres. Clear information was provided about the accommodation prior to arrival and advice on local restaurants too. Would highly recommend a stay here.
-
"Great location, nice views of the river and close to town to access amenities."
Shrewsbury is a lovely quaint town. Hot tub great and house very nice. Would definitely recommend and consider returning in the future
-
"This was our second stay at Marine Terrace through Sykes."
Prompt, good service from beginning to end.
-
"Wonderful situation so close to all attractions good food and pubs!"
-
"The location of the house was fantastic - so close to some great spots in Shrewsbury and in a beautiful setting along the river."
The rooms were all fantastically done and comfortable and cosy, with plenty of space and bathrooms to share. The only slight downside was that the lounge area itself, tagged on to the kitchen, is not overly comfy if everyone is sat down there.
-
"Lovely cottage, superb central location for both the town centre pubs and restaurants and for the Quarry park that was so nice to walk our dog in."
Andrew the host was very helpful when we had an issue with the hot tub ( our fault nothing wrong with it!!) All in all we had a great time in Shrewsbury and would recommend both it and the cottage to our friends. Graham
-
"This is a huge lovely cottage and we really enjoyed our stay and would go back again definitely ."
The only down side of the hole stay was the beds are not very comfortable but apart from that we loved it and the owners were so helpful.
-
"The cottage was lovely but we were missing a towel and a sheet for the sofa bed."
It also would've been useful to have soap in the bathrooms ( some of the group mentioned this.) Also after most of us consulting the hot tub manual we could NOT get it to bubble! It was hot but the Jets would not come on which actually defeated the idea of having a hot tub. I was asked by the group to contact someone for advice. It was very difficult to find a contact number. There didn't appear to be a phone number easily to hand. I did look through my emails and rang one number but couldn't get through so then I sent an email via a link. Again I didn't receive a reply, hence no proper hot tub use. So please could you tell me who and how we contacted someone when we were actually at the house itself. The house was indeed lovely and in a very convenient and pretty part of town. The kitchen was well equipped.
Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Marine Terrace. For future guest information the bed linen for the Sofa Bed is stored inside the sofa bed - a sheet, mattress protector, duvet and four Pillows. The hot tub has a simplified instruction sheet on the notice board with a more detailed instruction book in the Instruction folder. If guests are unsure about anything then it is easy to contact us either calling, texting or email. All contact details are available on the notice board and our telephone number is provided in the pre-arrival key collection information provided by Sykes. "The property itself was ideal for our purpose, spacious and ideal location, we ..."
The property itself was ideal for our purpose, spacious and ideal location, we were disappointed that we could not use the facilities as described, the hot tub had been moved to a small area at the back of the property, the temperature was very hot and we were unable to turn it down, there was dirty scum on the bubbles that made it feel unhygienic, the patio doors to the terrace were locked with no key available for access, I messaged the owner who said it wasn't safe to use the terrace as he had removed the fence and that the hot tub was OK to use but we could clean it if we didn't like the dirt, I don't think the terrace or hot tub should be advertised if they are not available for use
Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Marine Terrace. For future guest information the hot tub has been relocated from a first floor outside area to a ground floor outside area (due to some issues with neighbours) but the space and facilities remain the same. Apologies for any confusion we are due to update the photographs soon. As discussed with the guests at the time the hot tub water is fresh water however the chemicals react with the hard water to leave a residue which is filtered out or can be hurried along by skimming the surface. It was totally hygienic, with all chemical levels correct (including the chlorine). If any guests have any concerns, we are happy to visit the property to reassure them. "Hot tub now downstairs so there's no area for sitting out now."
(we weren't informed before we got there!). 1/No music as advertised. 2/Couldn't listen to any radio channels or watch TV downstairs without the programs distorting. 3/Not enough kitchen utensils to prepare a meal. 4/Half of the toaster not working. 5/Induction hob cut off during cooking a meal so we had to get a takeaway and throw away half cooked meal! To be fair Andrew did respond very quickly to attempt to put matters right. He called the next day when we were out and brought new utensils. He said there was nothing wrong with the toaster - there still is! He said there was nothing wrong with the TV - there is! He explained that if you get any oil on the hob it shuts down with the "over heat" symbol! True it does, but would have been nice to have been told that before and not AFTER the event. He didn't know what had happened to all the music files but they had indeed gone! I also had to repair a downlighter in the dining room that was fizzing and crackling (corrosion in the bulb holder) and also repair the window catch/lock in the bathroom so that it couldn't be opened from outside (Andrew said "who is going to be outside there trying to get in the property"! Doh, a burglar perhaps?) I didn't like his attitude when i spoke to him after he had been, he suggested these things hadn't happened! I had to say to him "I'm NOT making these things up and i'm NOT lying!" Apart from that we had a wonderful family holiday and the property is in an ideal situation for seeing the sights of Shrewsbury on foot. No free car parking is a major issue though. Costs a lot to park 3 cars for a week!
Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Marine Terrace. For future guest information the property is fully equipped with plates, cups, cutlery, pots, pans and utensils, for cooking a meal for 10 people. However, if there is a particular item that's required we will do our best to supply it. All TVs are fully operational (downstairs has an Amazon Firestick enabled TV, whilst the bedrooms are Digital Freeview. All kitchen appliances are fully operational and have full instructions in a folder provided. If any guest is having any issues, then were are happy to visit them and replace or repair any faulty item. On this occasion we visited the property promptly with some extra wooden spoons, as requested). Car Parks, it is a town centre location and so not cheap,...We do however supply Guests with the option to use a cheaper parking permit and advise on where cars can be parked free of charge a little further away. "Got to the house the hot tub worked for 15 mins then broke."
The hot tub is not In the space it says it is on the web site and the pictures are wrong. on the first floor there is a outdoor area that was locked with no key so we could not use it. The owner came out but could not fix the hot tub as it was the electrics he thinks. No one came out to fix it The hole time we stayed there. We stayed in this house because it had a hot tub and it was for a hen weekend.so our weekend was a total letdown as the hen just wanted a relaxing weekend away with a hot tub. We are having to go down the legal root as we want to claim back some of the cost and the owner doesn't want to pay out any more than £13 each for apologies there was 7 of us there think that's shocking.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay at Marrine Terrace. We’re very sorry for the disruption caused by the failure of the hot tub during your stay. We did offer to attend the property immediately on the Friday evening but were told you were going out for the evening so we came early on the following day. Whilst we did everything within our control to resolve this it was unfortunately necessary to call an engineer, who regrettably wasn't able to attend before your departure on the Sunday morning. We're sorry that you thought the gesture of goodwill offered for this inconvenience was insufficient but similarly we believed the requested level of compensation was more than we could reasonably offer. Kind Regards, The Property Owner Property Owner

"Owners were very helpful."
Location was excellent.

"Fabulous home for the weekend."
Perfect location - the best restaurants and shops just around the corner. Wonderful responsive owner, really helpful. Sykes Cottages great! I have already recommended Sykes to many friends! Will definitley use Sykes again. Thank you team!
-
"The property was lovely, beautiful location!"
However it was ruined by the neighbours complaining about the noise despite use refraining from using the hot tub and kept the window's and doors locked , the last straw came after being stopped in the street going for lunch for the neighbour to moan at us again , it ruined the weekend , we felt we couldn't stay another night so left early sunday morning.

"Photos and discription was met with ease ."
Everything you need was at hand . Property situation to the town Center is spot on . In all a very good experance for us all .
-
"Lovely house and ideal for our old girls reunion."
NCP car park only £4 per day (St Julian’s Friars) and relatively close. Planning issues, particularly over the siting of the hot tub, have closed all access to the rear of the property. Is a hot tub such a crowd pleaser? The excellent small shops accessible across the nearby pedestrian bridge were a great asset to us. Large, modern kitchen with everything we needed, apart from a bread knife and egg cups. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms/ shower rooms. A quiet location. Quick and easy access onto one of the main shopping streets (Wyle Cop) of the town.
-
"Lovely place ideal location to the town."
Very nice decor and bedrooms views of the river. All communication was excellent from the owner and Sykes during booking and paying deposits etc to our arrival there. Would definitely book this property again and would recommend it.
-
"Location, facilities, everything was spot on, really sociable house which was well equipped."
Would recommend and return.
-
"Fantastic home, well decorated and comfortable."
Very clean and owner beyond helpful.

"Absoulety gorgeous house with amazing views."
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing. Everything you need for a weekend stay. 4 lovely bedrooms with ample space and well decorated. Tv in each room. Bathrooms clean and shower fab. Did not use hot tube. Lounge room perfect for family get together
-
"Owner Andrew was so helpful whilst there."
Replied to all our queries during our stay.. Accommodation was beautiful and well designed with luxury furniture throughout. The 2 Bathrooms both with showers only were modern and immaculate. Beautiful equipped kitchen. We loved having the Netflix tv option too. We loved our stay here and would definitely return. Tip: It’s actually much cheaper to park on town car park at the rear of property & not use the the NCP or permit parking option.

"Loved the house, location and hot tub!"
A great family gathering!

"Great location, very central to everything but also very quiet and beautiful views, lovely house would stay again."

"The property was amazing, the decoration was brilliant, each bedroom decorated differently."
Location was perfect!

"Really nice house in a great location, with a great view of the river."
-
"Perfect location, easy walk into town and lovely river walks."
The house is very well equipped and laid out. Beautifully decorated. We were a family of 7 from all over the country who meet up annually. The house was perfect for our needs. Well equipped kitchen, lots of space in 2 living rooms and ample room round the dining table. Very comfortable beds with nice linen and fluffy towels. Hopefully we will be able to return again next year.

"Had a very enjoyable week - lovely place to visit."
The only downside was that the main bedroom (owl room) has an uncomfortable mattress - all other beds were reportedly very comfortable however they could do with some better quality pillows. The fridge and dishwasher were clean and functional but have obviously been mistreated in the past as the doors on both were a bit wonky. We couldn't get the speakers to function on the surround sound system and we couldn't find a remote control for the tv in the main bedroom. Hot tub was an amazing bonus but could do with instructions being laminated and left in the terrace area - or just even writing PTO on the instructions on the notice board in the kitchen - it was 4 days before we turned it over to see simple instructions. (We had found the full manual in a kitchen cupboard!) Arrival instructions say unloading at the rear is possible however we opened the garden gate to reveal a brick wall. We thought parking would be an issue but we managed to get 5 cars parked up on residential streets over the bridge and all were safe for the week - everything is within walking distance as long as you're fit and healthy (a few hills!!) so no need to have car nearby. All in all these are pretty picky points and I would rate it 8 out of 10 for somewhere to stay - if the above issues were sorted it would definitely be a 10!
-
"Stayed here last week for a 50th birthday week."
House is fabulous open plan living downstairs so great for parties. Showers are enormous but quite slippy so would advise taking a rubber mat if you have older guests with you. Hot tub is great but neighbours are quite twitchy about it and we had a note through the door after 1 hour when only 1 person had been in it!! Location is fab with great restaurants within 1 minute( the cornhouse and lion and pheasant). Overall a great rental tastefully decorated throughout with everything u need apart from a potato peeler ! Well worth the money. Also parking in belle vue is free on the side roads and only a short walk back over the footbridge .
