  • "The property was not clean in places."

The placemats had coffee spilt under them on the table. The table had grooves in it and there were crumbs and debris in them, food was left in the cupboards from previous occupants. Black mould was present in the first bedroom and the shower room. We had children coughing through the week and an asthmatic with us who also coughed when in the property.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you experienced these issues. I have referred this back to the maintenance and cleaning team and the mould has been removed and the cause repaired. New extraction fans have been installed and a damp roof membrane in the walls. Once again, thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. Property Owner

The property

This apartment has been beautifully converted from the first floor of The Old Carriage House as part of The Mill Managers House in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cromford Mills, in the heart of the Derbyshire village.

Holding reams of character, luxuriously appointed throughout with beautiful wooden floors, beams and stonework and with a thoughtful family bedroom, this could be the perfect Peak District holiday for you and your loved ones.

Enter through the original ledge and brace door into the stone floored porch area.

Then take the bespoke internal staircase to reach this wonderful apartment, the whitewashed stone wall gives an instant sense of charm.

Be welcomed into The Carriage House in wonderful style; its high specification open-plan dining kitchen attractively combines a wide range of high-quality, modern appliances with old rustic features, including the wooden bench dining table seating 8 and striking overhead beams.

The sitting area, with two cosy leather sofa beds, is enhanced by a light-filled picture window looking out towards the quaint street below and stunning exposed stonework and beams.

Traditional latch doors lead you to the two en-suite bedrooms, both with impressive roof height beams and even more character.

The first bedroom offers a convenient zip/link bed and luxury shower facilities whilst the main bedroom contains a zip/link bed, a single bed and a stunning bathroom of its own.

To the outside of this splendid retreat is a well-kept pebbled garden; sit out here and enjoy an alfresco BBQ with the whole family.
