"Brighter lights needed in the kitchen/diner."
This is my only grumble. The location was quiet. The bed so comfy. Shower was hot.
Thank you for your feedback and glad everything was to your liking apart from the level of lighting in the kitchen. Disappointed this one item has led you to give quite a low score. Hopefully if you revisit you will find that there is an additional spotlight in the kitchen, referenced in the welcome book. Property Owner

"A lovely property, with a well equipped kitchen and nice seating area at the back of the house that catches the afternoon sun."
Thank you for the lovely feedback, and glad the sun was shining for you Property Owner

"Perfectly clean, lovely decor with everything we needed for a family of 4."
The village is very sweet and had super pubs and places to eat and village shops. The cottage itself is well equipped and has a beautiful little garden at the back. No trouble parking at all. The best bit, comfy beds, we slept like logs.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback and great to hear you had a relaxing and enjoyable stay Property Owner

"Lovely cottage, perfect for our 2 night stay in The Peak District."
The weather was kind to us and we ate breakfast both mornings in the lovely little rear garden. The beds were comfy so we slept well. We visited 2 pubs and Sal’s italian for a meal. All very nice. Great location for walking. Would be good to have a slightly earlier and/or later check out especially for a short stay although I understand this may be dictated by the cleaning company.
So glad you had a lovely stay with us and really appreciate you taking the time to leave a great review . You are right that our hands are tied with regard to check in and out times but so pleased you were still able to make the most of your short stay with us and breakfast in the garden sounds perfect Property Owner

"Lovely little cottage, quiet, comfortable and clean."
Great walks from the door. Parked two cars on the road outside without problem. Nice seating area at the back. Several pubs and two restaurants in Tideswell, plus a fantastic wool shop, bakery, cafe, Co-op, etc. As several other guests have noted, needs a teapot (first thing we looked for on arrival!); also the velux window in the small bedroom has no blind or cover so it gets light very early in summer. A consideration if you have a small child and don't want them to wake up too early. The light pull in the bathroom needs a hook to hold it away from the door as it keeps getting tangled up. Otherwise a lovely stay, and thanks for the welcome bottle of wine and the biscuits.
Thank you so much for your review and glad you enjoyed your stay at Flora Cottage . We always appreciate knowing what things we can do to make our guests' experiences better, so thank you for letting us know. Property Owner

"Lovely location and generally great."
Wood burner was very cosy and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was wonderful in the cold December mornings. Great beds which were very comfortable. Only slight issues were: - Given wrong code for the key safe which involved a slightly embarrassing wait on the pavement to phone Sykes. - No tea towel to dry dishes. - Would be nice if there was some complimentary body wash, but this is really nitpicking!
Thank you so much for your feedback -it's always helpful to understand what we could have done better and we want our guests to have the best possible time with us :) There should absolutely have been tea-towels for you to use, so apologies these weren't left out for you and the keycode issue was totally my fault - I gave the wrong code to Sykes - I'll blame brain fog! I hope this didn't inconvenience you too much and that you enjoyed the rest of your stay :) Property Owner

"We had a wonderful stay at Flora cottage."
The woodburning stove, the big bath and the fluffy carpets, not to mention the beautiful beds and bedding made it a luxurious stay. The location is perfect, we loved exploring the village, especially the bakery and the pub. Lots of lovely walks nearby too. A great family holiday that we won't forget. Thank you

"The cottage was beautifully furnished and very warm."
The duvets and bedrooms were of a high quality as was the rest of the decor and furniture. The kitchen was equipped with all essential items - again all of a high quality. There is a utility room just by the back door so washing can be done easily if necessary. The garden is beautiful as it Tideswell. The location is excellent for walking and driving to places of interest. I would highly recommend this property as a great place to stay.
So pleased you enjoyed Tideswell and Flora Cottage! And thank you for the lovely feedback. Do come back for another visit soon Property Owner

"We had a wonderful stay at Flora Cottage."
Everything was as per the pictures and information provided. We arrived to a lovely welcome gift of crisps and a bottle of wine. The beds were very comfortable, water hot and good pressure, kitchen had all the amenities and the outdoor space was great. Location was easily found using the directions and a quick walk into the town centre with plenty of eating options. We would stay again and recommend to friends.
Thank you so much for our first ever review Natalie! So glad you enjoyed your stay and you had everything you needed. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future Property Owner

Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more including a convenient supermarket open daily until 10pm.
