Enter through the hallway, with the dining room positioned directly in front of you, ideally situated for you to stop to unwind and have a cup of tea before unpacking your belongings upstairs.

Head into the kitchen, a fantastic contemporary room decorated with bright white furnishings against stone mullion windows and a double Belfast sink, this room reflects the thoughtfully styled interior of the property that runs throughout.

Upstairs you can find two bedrooms; a twin and a super-king which offer the perfect arrangement for a small family to get a good night’s rest amongst the magnificent countryside settings just outside the windows.

In the summer months, the courtyard at the back of the property makes a lovely area to enjoy some alfresco dining, whether you’re concocting a family favourite or trying out some local food bought at the independent supermarket, this private setting is an ideal spot to spend quality time with the family.

Where you’ll be staying

CURBAR

Baslow 1 mile; Bakewell 6 miles.

The sleepy village of Curbar lies just below Froggatt Edge and Curbar Gap in the heart of the Peak District National Park, just a stone’s throw from the National Trust owned Longshaw Estate and less than five miles from Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. This pretty village has a collection of Peak District Millstones, a pub, a craft shop and a gallery, and is a wonderful base for walks, climbing and mountain biking. The village of Baslow with shops, pubs and restaurants is only a mile away and a further range of amenities can be found in the market town of Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District and home to the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!). Haddon Hall is close by and Alton Towers Theme Park is also within easy touring distance meaning there is plenty to enjoy from Curbar.
