  • "The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful setting overlooking the Derbyshire hills."

It is very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The owner had thoughtfully left a carton of milk in the fridge and some fresh ground coffee. We loved the patio which felt very private and was a bit of a suntrap. The cottage was very well situated, only 10 minutes' walk from Edale village where there are two good pubs, The Rambler Inn and The Old Nags Head which served very good food.

  • "We loved every minute of our stay regardless of whatever the weather may be outside."

It was perfect to watch the world go by, sheep and lambs in the fields, people passing along the footpath or the changing weather up on the Mam Tor range. One thing that did concern us at time of the booking was the listing noted no freezer, but could use the owners. This was not quite true as the fridge had a large ice box which could easily store frozen peas, ice blocks etc which was ample for our needs.

The kitchen was very well equipped. The sitting area was comfy. The bed was very comfortable and the duvet was snuggly. The location was excellent - 10 minutes walk to the pubs across decent paths that are manageable in the dark (with a torch). Also just 10 minutes walk to the start of the Pennine Way and the ascent of Kinder Scout. As New Year guests, we really appreciated the chocolates and sparkling wine, as well as coffee and milk. The coloured lights decorating the farm were also lovely. Great place! Thank you.

Lovely property just big enough for two. Well equipped and very comfortable. Only thing we could think of that would be an improvement would be the addition of a small foot stool for resting weary legs on whilst sitting on the sofa at the end of a day of walking.

The cottage was just right not too big , not too small, everything worked although it had a funny television set up. The owners of the property were helpful friendly and although very busy due to the lambing time were always willing to talk about sheep. The property was really out in the country side at the end of a single track lane which really needed a few more passing points so timing was important when coming and going. The scenery from the cottage is awe inspiring I have never been so impressed, the weather was good so the Peaks were showing their full glory. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who loves the country side.
