"The cottage has been refurbished to a really high standard and is a fantastic position to explore the Peak District."
Just a couple of things about the cottage. When we arrived the cottage had a lot of dust on certain items and hair in the draws in the bathroom. The heating is controlled remotely and although it says you can override it, there are no instructions for this- we ended up googling it! The kitchen is poorly equipped. The bed is a great size but is pushed up against the wall on one side which makes it difficult to get into and it’s a really firm bed. It said in the welcome pack the fire would be lit when you arrive but it wasn’t. We would definitely recommend the pub in the village, great food and friendly staff.

"Very clean, modern, tasteful and some luxurious features."
A great base for visiting some of the great attractions in the area with lots of info on where to visit or what to do. We had a very enjoyable holiday break and thank the owner for having us.

"Had a lovely break away in this cottage."
It had everything we could need. Was great to have the jacuzzi bath and fire to come back to after long walks. Very clean and well maintained with lovely decor. Great location and very cosy.

"A lovely stay at this cottage over Xmas!"
It had everything we needed, welcome milk and mince pies were a brilliant touch. Ye Old Cheshire Cheese Inn served brilliant food and a short walk which was perfect! The general store in the village was handy if we forgot something! We visited Buxton, Derwent Resevoir and Chatsworth house. The cottage is in an ideal location to go and explore. The log fire on return makes for the perfect evening. Thank you for letting us stay the perfect Christmas get away!

"Lovely little cottage in the heart of the Peak District."
Well equipped and clean. Comfy bed. Bathroom facilities excellent. Jacuzzi bath lovely with plenty of hot water. Milk & biscuits as a welcome pack which was nice but we’ve had better. First fire wasn’t made up on arrival which was very disappointing as we only just made it to the shops to buy kindling. The village pub ‘Ole Cheshire Cheese’ has now reopened and was excellent. Great atmosphere, food and staff. Overall we had a wonderful weekend, taking in Chatsworth and Haddon Hall Christmas Markets! (Haddon was the best!). We hope to be back in the summer to enjoy those beautiful views. Thank you

"This was a gem of a find and a perfect base for exploring the area over a long weekend."
It was a beautiful cottage and kept spotless with all that wee needed for our three night stay. The jacuzzi bath was a particular plus point and what 'sold' it to us but it soon turned out to be the perfect place with stunning views and somewhere we'd love to return to.

"We felt the sofa uncomfortable and the mattress needed replacing ."
otherwise the cottage was lovely everything we needed. A quiet location good fish and chip restaurant, local shop and public house.
-
"The cottage was beautiful inside and out, very clean and well facilitated."
It was perfectly located, no more than a 30 min drive to Buxton and Bakewell. It was a little bit disappointing that the pub in Longnor was closed waiting for a landlord, but this couldn’t be helped. The fish and chip shop was gorgeous and so was the little sweet shop. We celebrated my birthday here, and absolutely loved it. We hope to return soon.
Thank you, we are pleased to inform you that the pub in Longnor has now reopened . Many thanks Property Owner

"Everything was good, lovely quiet location with all the places we wanted to visit in this area close by."
Had a problem with the television. Quick message to the owners one evening and they sorted it out the next morning. Very impressed.
-
"A lovely cottage and well appointed for the interesting countryside and towns in the area."
Thank you for a lovely stay.

"Such a beautiful romantic cottage with everything you need for a brilliant stay."
An extremely clean and cosy cottage with the best double jacuzzi bath ever!!! Perfect for after a day of lots of walking. The bed is extremely comfortable and has a lovely patio outside the front where you can and enjoy the views. Longnor is a beautiful village however please note the pub mentioned is no longer open so there isn’t one in Longnor. The nearest one however is in a nearby village of Crowdecote which is only a 15 minute walk and the views from their beer garden are out of this world. We visited Buxton and Bakewell which are both beautiful and a must do. Overall a fantastic stay and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Peak District.
Thank you, the pub has now reopened . Many thanks Property Owner

"Beautiful and romantic cottage."
Very cosy and clean too. The jacuzzi was definitely the star. I would love to return in the future. The location was also easy to reach the peaks for hiking, there are plenty of facilities around. Lovely place ♥️

"Fantastic week getaway in a lovey cottage in a small village."
Check in was easy and communication from the owner good but could have been faster. The house was clean and very comforting. The heating was set to a temperature which always kept the house warm which I appreciated. There was a log fire with wood supplied, although some kindling is probably needed to start the fire more easily. I brought my own and was able to use it as few times fine. The upstairs is divided into bed room and separate bathroom, with a huge shower and separate jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was amazing, certainly the highlight of the property, and perfect after a day walking. It is hard to explain just how good it is, it had a music facility on it, lights, heating, and jets from various angles you can control. There was a small amount of toilet paper but not enough for a week stay. Towels were supplied. I appreciated the welcome book with the wifi and instructions for appliances which was helpful for using the oven etc. Kitchen had amenities like salt/pepper, washing up liquid, oil, tea, coffee, plates, cutlery, tea towels but not some other bits like kitchen paper, kitchen spray, scrubbers. TVs downstairs and up were smart TVs and there was lots of lightening throughout the home to create a nice ambience. All in all, it met and exceeded my expectations having seen the pictures on the website and reviews. These meant I came stocked with what I needed. Value was excellent but I think that was also due to the fact I came at the end of Jan.

"A beautiful cottage, clean, comfortable, quiet location."
My only gripe was that that the kitchen Basics were not provided , I e , tea towel, kitchen roll, oil, etc. Having said that, it wouldn’t put me off staying again. Mr C Mabbott.

"In all my years of renting cottages in the UK, I've never been to one that had none of the basic amenities like dish soap, laundry detergent, sufficient toilet paper, shampoo, salt and pepper, dish rag, etc."
It was totally unlike the other places in which I stayed on this trip. Nice property and great Jacuzzi but be prepared to have to purchase all amenities.

"Would love to visit again at some point."
-
"Simply perfection for our mini staycation."
Would recommend in a heartbeat to any couple for a cosy getaway in the Peak District.
-
"Beautiful cottage!"
Exactly as seen. Spotlessly clean. The jacuzzi bath was an absolute treat after long hikes on the peaks. Log burner was cosy. Especially as we had a couple storms during our stay. Heated the whole house. Welcome gifts were a lovely thought and the extra bakewell pie! Rosie and Dan honestly couldn’t do more for us, very quick and responsive to any questions we had. Perfect stay for our first visit to the Peak District. Would highly recommend and stay again if we revisited. Thanks again :)
