  • "Property had not been cleaned despite claims it had been and that any mess was down to maintenance, that does not explain things like hairs in the shower, mold in the welcome basket & sticky un-wiped kitchen counter tops (to name a few!"

) This would not be caused by a maintenance guy putting up decorations so we do not appreciate being lied too and taken for fools. Very cold house, difficult to get warm, lack of facilities and poor customer service from Sykes as they failed to act quickly to our concerns and follow them up. Unfortunately we had to make several attempts to contact them before someone actually cared about what we had to say. We would not recommend them or use them again I’m afraid. We have a lot more to say but it became very apparent that they’re not bothered as long as they get their money so it’s pointless airing any further concerns. What’s done is done. Such a shame as the property itself is beautiful, although we wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to others.
