"We had a lovely short stay here , we wish we could of stayed longer."
The house was lovely and clean and cosy with the open fire , it had all we needed . set in a lovely quiet area . The local pub was a bonus . We would love to stay again .

"We have stayed in many cottages over the years and sadly Beechview did not meet our expectations."
The views and peace and quiet are lovely, however the access and location more remote than we expected. The house itself was adequate with its facilities but definitely lacked that home from home touches and feel. There was no dvd player and limited access to the smart TV features. Although in the listing it stated fuel and power included, there was no logs or kindling for the fire. The shower was somewhat awkward and tight to get in and out of. We did receive a welcome email from the owners -sadly it wasn't up to date with knowledge the local pub was not serving food till the 26th Sept - this would have been very handy to know after a long 6 hour drive up as we were looking forward to eating out the first night, not getting back into the car to find somewhere else. We loved the sunrises out the back and the rear bedroom bed was very comfy to sleep in. We personally wouldnt stay here again
We are sorry you didn’t enjoy all of your stay at Beechview. The rural location is usually the reason most of our guests enjoy the area so much. We don’t advertise having a dvd player so unfortunately this would not be present and if you had got in touch we would have been more than happy to have a look at the smart tv as have had no problems with it before. The local pub has just changed hands so we were unaware they were not serving food but this is something very short term and outside of our control. Thank you for the feedback. Property Owner

"Comfortable house in a very peaceful location."
House was equipped with what was needed for a week long stay. It was in a good location for Alton Towers and for visiting the various towns and villages around the area. It was good to have access to a garden which was a good size and private. Rooms were all a decent size. Very comfortable for our family of four. Due to location, you do rely upon your car.

"The cottage was clean and tidy."
It had loads of room and everything was in working order. We booked this cottage as it was very close to Alton Towers, the drive there on Saturday was quite easy. We took the 2 minute walk down to the Fox and Goose pub on Friday evening for a bite to eat and a drink, the pub was so nice and the landlady very welcoming. The food was excellent and we had a great evening

"Very pleasant stay at Beechview - pre-arrival email from Sykes was kindly supplemented by a personalised email from the owner, which was much appreciated."
Fixtures and fittings as expected from photos, spacious and comfortable for a family of four, with more than adequate cooking facilities. Two things which may enhance the property for future guests: 1) the lack of a full size clothes drying rack was awkward, having had to do a full load of washing after getting soaked - although there were three radiator racks, we had to also use coat hangers and items took days to dry 2) it was unclear where the property’s external general waste and recycling bins were located - not wanting to use a neighbour’s bin, we were unable to empty the recycling bin on check out Overall, would highly recommend the property - 15 mins from Alton Towers and 45 mins from Heights of Abraham - and would happily come back here on a future Peak District holiday.

"Great house rather than cottage ."
Big rooms all comfortable and well appointed kitchen views from the back was over fields, and the front was out over the village church. The local pub was 2 minutes walk and served excellent food. Fantastic steaks but ask if you want these. Good centre for touring around but definitely need a car although there are walks around especially along the canal in the valley. Recommend it highly.

"A well presented and homely property in a quiet village with lots to do close by."
We enjoyed a comfortable stay as a family and the house had all the amenities we needed (maybe some more cutlery would have been handy). Everything was just as described. Alton Towers was just a 10 minute drive away plus we enjoyed days out to Ilam, Dovedale, Biddulph Grange and the Peak Wildlife Park. We also took a stroll to the tea shop, Hetty's, down the road and the local canal and steam train but be warned, it's a long climb back up the hill. All in all a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

"We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed it."
The house was as described, very clean and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this house to others and will be looking to stay again ourselves. 10 out of 10.

"Great property, super clean and comfy too."
We went to Alton Towers so the location was perfect as it was only a short drive away.

"Lovely house in a peaceful location, idea for our family holiday."
We mainly booked it due to its proximity to Alton Towers but plenty of things to see in the area too. Had everything we needed and would definitely stay again.

"Everything was great!"
Andrew and Emma did everything possible to make our stay the best it could be. The house was perfect for our family of five. A couple of days into the stay a couple of small problems popped up; as soon as we contacted Andrew and Emma, they were there in a flash to get them taken care of. The location was perfect for us to be near my parents who live in Kingsley Holt. Highly recommended! Next time we want to stay in the area, Beechview will be our first choice.

"The property was clean , exactly as shown on the website ."
Lovely view from the back garden. There were rabbits running around the garden which was nice for the kids. Great location to travel to Alton towers, wildlife park, great walks around the area, reasonable drive from a lot of places to go for trekking, lovely pub down the road , lovely tea shop just down the hill with 2 minute drive. We extremely enjoyed our stay in the property. They could have provided extra bin bags, a laundry liner , laundry basket , more glasses, cutlery, an exhaust near the cooker.

"Good location and really comfortable, suited us perfectly"

"We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful house."
The house was comfortable and spotlessly clean with stunning views. A short walk to the pub which provided very generous portions and the fabulous Hetty’s tea room a 20 minute walk down hill - the walk back up should work off the cakes! The hosts were so helpful and accommodated us at short notice. The sofa was very comfortable - and a great place to relax. Would definitely go back.

"Fabulous place to stay, beautiful kitted out and seemingly miles from anywhere, but in fact tucked into the edge of a lovely village."

We wished we had more time to enjoy the local area. The house itself was great and the welcome treats were a very welcome treat. Thanks! We would definitely stay again and recommend it.
