"Hi, lovely place and local pub."
Suggestions would be wine /prosecco glasses (I've left some plastic ones for your next visitor), clearing of leaves outside, very slippy. Very comfy beds. You need to take your Netflix login as no tv signal. Great parking and felt safe with the gates!
I mean who complains about fallen leaves in autumn, what next snow lol ! Property Owner

"Beautiful cottage with some amazing walks around, plenty of beautiful scenery to take in."
Local pubs within walking distance

"Property was tidy but has never seen a duster or a hoover - we had to do this on arrival before unpacking."
The sofa was big buy very uncomfortable with no support. There was no where to dry your towels and with 4 of us this was tricky . The dinning room table was tiny and we struggled to fit 4 of us and server dinner on it. There was a balcony but it was in the twin room so we couldn't use it on a night time as the kids were asleep.

"Lovely cottage."
Just perfect for a few relaxing days away to switch off and unwind. Comfy bed. Great sofa. And the smart TVs were a plus.
-
"Stunning! Beautiful cottage and location."
Clean, cosy, everything you could want for a few days away. Didn’t want to leave, already looking at dates to return. Host had gone the extra mile to make you feel welcome on arrival - thank you so much.
-
"It is an amazing little cottage, had everything we wanted."
Was ideal for our weekend. Hot tub was an amazing extra.
-
"Lovely little cottage in a great location."
The cottage had everything we needed and we would definitely go back. Only but of advice would be to install a roof over the hot tub for when it’s raining! We ended up sitting in it in our wooly hats so our hair didn’t get wet when it was raining.

"We really enjoyed our weekend stay at Clock Cottage."
The place itself had everything we needed from tea and coffee to the hot tub. The beds were really comfortable and we slept well. Richard the owner introduced himself in person to check we were ok as we had a small issue with the heating (easily fixed) and he brought us biscuits and Prosecco. We were four ladies celebrating two of us turning 50 and we had a good relaxing time. Thanks Richard for letting us stay in your beautiful place.

"Property was very nice, exactly as advertised."
-
"We enjoyed our stay overall but found the sofa in the lounge very uncomfortable/tired/worn out."
-
"Really nice cottage, too warm on a night :) the underfloor heating was loved by all even the kids."
To walk out of gates tricky we tried the code on the post which didn’t work, Nevermind The owner was very helpful and quick to reply. We would return.

"The cottage was lovely and warm, well equipped and clean."
The welcome gifts and card were a lovely touch too. The sitting room and kitchen were very cosy. However, my partner found the dips in the bed made his back uncomfortable when sleeping. When we showered water seemed to come through into the kitchen.

"This is a lovely cottage with all mod cons (including a hot tub)."
And they all work. Very clean when we arrived & we appreciated the Prosecco and biscuits. We had a fantastic time.
-
"Great wee house."
Hot tub was a real bonus after enjoying the many lovely walks in the area.
-
"Great place for a relaxing break."
Nice and quiet location. Pressecco and biscuits were a nice welcoming gift from the owner. Very comfy bed. Hot tub was very welcome after a day of walking round Manchester and local reservoirs. We really enjoyed our break at Clock cottage.

"We stayed for 4 days and was not happy at all."
Cottage was clean but, very uncomfortable the settee was dirty and it was like sitting on the floor the underneath had no support. Had to double up cushions to get a bit of comfort. T.V reception was appalling not watchable. Complained to onsight owner and he wasn't, either willing or able to sort it until after we'd left he said. I could see the aerial on roof had moved round. He blamed it on weather and the reception, because of his trees, in the area. We have had wonderful holidays with Sykes for a number of years now and have never had cause for complaint. Most disappointed we wasted our money.
I have checked the TV reception, it is fine, I'm sorry the weather was poor for your stay. All the TVs can be viewed via the internet.I am sorry you felt the settee was dirty I will get this cleaned, I am sorry you did not find the facilities and accuracy of listing to your standards when other guests do. Best wishes. Property Owner

Excellent location very clean throughout and secure Nice touch with bubbly and chocolate biscuits Could do with a few small upgrades to enhance stay even further Black out curtains in main bedroom Suite upgrade very difficult to get up once seated Minor issues that didn’t cause us to many issues but could be looked at for future guests

"Lovely property, clean and spacious, in a great location."
Plenty of towels and facilities for all your needs while you stay. Richard was very friendly and helpful, we felt at ease at the property and safe. Highly recommend, hopefully to return again soon. Thanks again

"Sykescottages kept me informed throughout my booking and when I needed to call they were very helpful and friendly, will definitely book through them again."
Clock cottage was beautiful, perfect location for a relaxing 40th surprise girlie getaway. We did have a little trouble with the keypad when accessing the property as the arrow key did not seem to work and kept going through to the intercom however this was resolved by the owner. Thank you for a great memorable weekend away

"A lovely, warm and cosy cottage."
Good location and a private hot tub to return to and relax in. Comfortable beds. Good pub nearby. Possibly could do with more than 2 plastic wine glasses for use in the tub (for a party of 4 adults) and more than 4 tea mugs since there was hardly any washing up liquid and 2 dishwasher tabs for 3 nights. But thanks for the arrival gift. Great joining instructions and would definitely recommend.

"A lovely stay in an interesting cottage (would be nice to have some information about the history of the cottage to read during the stay)."
Generally very comfortable and the hot tub was really lovely with great views. Couple of minor niggles, firstly the two views of the outside of the cottage (showing the clock face) which are used as the main advertisements for the cottage, are views you will never see as there is no access to that side of the house which is the owners side (I believe you can make arrangements to access for a photo), I feel this is quite misleading. Views from the sitting room are of both your own car in the parking area and the owners cars and bins. Secondary the master bed is a memory foam mattress which unlike other visitors we found very uncomfortable and aggravated backache, if you suffer similarly I’d recommend sleeping in the second bedroom. Views from the hot tub and the master bedroom are beautiful and there are many lovely walks and visits to do in the area. Highly recommend Dovestone reservoir and we also enjoyed a trip to Jodrell Bank (a little further away) and the Science and Media Museum in Bradford. Kitchen was easy to use (couldn’t find cooker manual despite manuals for most other things) but could do with basic condiments in stock and the table was very small (uncomfortably so for more than two people). Overall a nice stay in a very peaceful pretty area.

"Arrival instructions really clear, the cottage is lovely, nice & clean with a thoughtful welcome gift."
Great location, so quiet & peaceful and one of the most comfy beds have stayed in. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking to return.
-
"Superb holiday loved every minute of it."
Great cottage in a superb location.
-
"Quirky, comfy cottage with good views and a peaceful location."
The hot tub is welcome after long days walking. The beds are very comfortable and luxurious as is the deep roll top bath.
-
"We had a fantastic time in this wonderful cottage ."
It was clean and tidy with the luxury of a bath in the bedroom. Extremely comfortable beds too. The hot tub was an added bonus which we loved , It was an excellent week with fabulous weather to see the beautiful scenery in the Peak District .
-
"Beautiful property in a perfect location."
The balance of having a large city and a national park nearby is amazing for us, we like to stay in tranquil locations and explore the countryside but also like the convenience of being near a large town (in this case of course, the massive Manchester) so location was perfect for us. The cottage itself also has a perfect balance of cozy and modern, there was nothing we felt we needed but didn't have, hot tub was lovely. Will definitely be coming back!
-
"Superb Cottage with amazing scenery out of every window."
Cottage was Immaculate. Hot tub even better. Gated entry gave you extra security. Fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended.

"We had a lovely stay in Clock Cottage."
Fab location for exploring the Pennines. Slightly disappointed that we couldn’t see the Clock from the outside but enjoyed the inside view of it nevertheless. Hot tub is wonderful!
-
"Lovely clean, cosy, well furnished property."
Very comfortable beds & good shower. Welcome gift of Prosecco & biscuits was a lovely gesture. The hot tub was a fab addition too. Lots to do in the area, some lovely walks from the property and nearby. Uppermill & the canal and Dovestone reservoir being especially worth a visit.
-
"Absolutely lovely cottage."
Very tastefully decorated and comfortable and so warm with the underfloor heating. The bed is amazingly comfortable and the hot tub is wonderful and very private. Wonderful views all around. Lovely and kind touch from the owners with a bottle of prosecco and chocolate biscuits on arrival. Would definitely recommend Clock Cottage.
-
"Great property, very welcoming and clean."
The hot tub was a great addition and we used this both nights to relax. The only downside was the electric gates breaking meaning we had to leave the car where it was and climb over the wall however despite only being back from holiday a few hours before, the owner came through that night and sorted this for us for which we were very grateful. We would definitely recommend to friends/family and we will definitely be staying again
-
"Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location."
The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the lounge area could have had another comfortable chair as there were 4 adults so not able to all completely relax at the same time.
-
"Lovely little cottage on a quiet country lane, private gated access feels very secure, cosy living room , clock window is a pretty feature, Hot tub was perfect and secluded, the owner Richard was helpful before and during the holiday on hand if needed, Great location for exploring the area."
This was a girls holiday but perfect for families or couples too. Would definitely recommend clock cottage.
-
"Absolutely lovely cottage home from home."
Clean and comfortable everything that you would need while you are away. It rained every day but we still used the hot tub and enjoyed every minute of the holiday. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place to relax and enjoy. Plenty of places to eat and shopping at nearby villages is great. Also Manchester not far away so the choice is yours. Plenty of beautiful scenery and walks if it's not pouring down. Really enjoyed our stay would go again thank you for a lovely break
-
"We had a enjoyable stay at Clock Cottage, the owner was welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area."
The hot tub was amazing, perhaps one of the best we’ve been in!!! The beds were very comfortable and it was a good base to explore the Peak District and surrounding areas of Manchester. It was extremely easy to get a tram from Oldham to Manchester and cheap too (£7.50 return for a travel card for a family of 4) . We visited 2 National trust properties Lyme and Dunham Massey which were both incredible. The cottage would be even better if it had comfortable seating for 4 people as one of us had to sit on a hard chair in the evening!!!!
-
"Fabulous cottage, had everything you could need."
I would highly recommend, hot tub was amazing, so was the views .
-
"This is a fanatastic little cottage in an amaxing setting, just a stones throw away from the Peak District."
It is well presented and well equipped. We went as a family of four and the kids and we all had a brilliant stay. The kids loved the hot tub. The owner is friendly and even put some banners up for me that I sent in advance for my wifes birthday. We will be back!

"We had a lovely time at Clock Cottage."
The weather was not good to us that week but the cottage is so welcoming and homely we still enjoyed our holiday. The double bed is extremely comfortable. Loved having a bath especially in our room. So many places are taking baths out and just having showers. The kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook. We watched plenty of films on Netflix iPlayer and Itvhub. You need your own sign ins. The hot tub is great and secluded from sight. The cottage was decorated lovely and was beautifully clean. We visited Dovestone reservoir which is really great. Climbed to the top of the hills and the views were spectacular.
-
"This cottage is absolutely beautiful, the views are spectacular and the cottage felt like home."
The only thing that I would recommend would be for there to be more towels as these are used alot with the fabulous hot tub. We had a great time, thanks, Sara.
