"We stayed in Cuckoo - very cosy but not for 5 adults."
Also, no lighting outside cottage and it has 2 steps to get into it. Not all cottages have parking right outside either - plenty of parking though The site is great and was very nicely decorated for Autumn/Halloween Ideal site for groups of families to meet up

"The cottage its self was as described."
Lovely location. Ample facilities. Close proximity town, but far enough away. Our only criticism is Sykes directions to the property. They give a what three words location to use but that takes you to a camp site. So we then used the postcode and that takes you down a lane with a sign saying it is not the cottages, clearly plenty of people end up there. This is not what you need after a 5hr journey. Thankfully the camp site owner helped us out.

"Lovely cottage with great facilities, especially the pool which was kept at a great temperature."
The cottage is well equipped and great selection of TV channels. One small point is the bathroom sink taps squeaks badly and is very annoying.

"Great cottage, really enjoyed our stay."
Swimming pool excellent would benefit from improved signage on water depth. Table tennis and pool enjoyed by grandchildren. Recommend pie and quiz evening at local pub. Very friendly and helpful maintenance man.

"Really loved the cottage and the facilities and we will book again."
It was so homely and with the handyman and his being around he helped us with a few minor problems. A few minor problems that could be added or fixed a Pizza cutter No logs or notice on sykes website to bring your own. The offer to order some inadvance on sykeswebsite would have helped. Postcode not correct as it covers big area. Sykes needs to modernise and Use just 3 words. No sign for the cottage on the road. Use bakewell retreat in Google maps as the cottage isn't recognised. Rang sykes emergency line asking for help but no one still has rang me back.Sykes this needs to be investigated. We spent over 1 hour looking for a cottage. Very obvious sykes haven't used their own directions to find the cottage. I have used sykes a few times but sykes advertisement and lack of knowledge of the property let us down this time.

"Super stay at Cuckoo, lovely welcome tray with tea biscuits etc and sweets for my grandchildren which went down a treat!"
Very comfortable, we had everything we needed The pool was wonderful, so warm and clean. Smashing field at the back to exercise the doggie! Hope to come again soon for longer next time! Would definitely recommend to friends and family and my daughter has already shared to her families as she runs baby and toddler groups! Thank you for a wonderful stay. Everything was just perfect!! :)

"We had a lovely stay and liked the quirkiness off the cottage."
The beds were really comfortable. There are a few maintenance issues. Front door of one of the kitchen cupboards is loose. The zip on the sofa cushion is broken. The ring on the towel rail is loose in the bathroom. We had to reset the boiler most days as it kept going off. We stayed for a week and think that our towels could have been changed.

"We enjoyed our stay at Cuckoo."
The cottage was really cosy and after a long journey, the complimentary Halloween sweets and wood burning stove were just the ticket. The swimming pool and games room enhanced the stay even more! The location was perfect. Owners were friendly and professional. We look forward to returning!
