  • "Comfortable enough stay would be better if the table was placed somewhere you could actually sit and eat."

Apart from that really nice place. Only bizarre thing we thought was that we had to strip the bed, never had to do this anywhere else and I don’t think it should be for the guests to do.

  • "Lovely cottage, a bit cobwebby, but not enough to bother us although may bother some."

Perfect location for touring the area and very dog friendly. The maintenance chap Mark was super friendly and very busy as he has a lot of grounds to maintain. We could not use pool as we have dogs which meant someone has to be with them and there is no lone swimming. Understandable but disappointing. Little tip, take take salt and pepper as none provided and extra bin bags and washing up liquid. Would definitely come back.

  • "Lovely little mini moon get away for myself, my husband, our 1 year old daughter and dog."

Perfect location, a short drive down into Bakewell. Friendly maintenance guy/ manager? who brought us a bottle of champagne to celebrate - very much appreciated, thank you!

  • "A review of two halves."

The Love Nest is an ample sized 2 person property on a complex of other holiday lets. The maintenance guy, is super friendly and an asset to the complex without a doubt. The Love Nest is quirky inside, but this has overshone practicality. There are no internal doors, so privacy is not an option. The main room housing the bed and lounge area leads straight into the bathroom without a door, which means at night you are woken with the bathroom light being on should you need to use the toilet. The toilet doesn’t have a door either so you will “hear” your partner in there as no soundproofing, the curtain to draw across is un hygienic , you pull across to give a little modesty but having using the toilet means you touch the curtain before washing your hands after. Not hygienic at all. The bath is modern and sleek but super slippy, be careful, I slipped and found it un relaxing at all. For safety I would provide an anti slip mat, I’m not old and found this a hazard. We used the swimming pool and games room daily, a great addition to the complex, but does need some tlc. Overall, I would return but some adjustments to Love Nest are needed. I can’t comment on the other properties, but they looked nice.

Postcode and 3 words go somewhere else entirely. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend. But, postcode and maps needs to be accurate to reduce travel stress.

  • "The love nest was a perfect cozy getaway for me and my partner."

The cottage was very inviting, hosting fairy lights, furry blankets, and a large bath in the bathroom, which was amazing. The swimming pool on the premises was a huge plus, and having a warm swim at the end of a day of hiking in the peaks was just what we needed. It is also situated right outside Bakewell and various nice hill walks are close by. I would recommend the stay to anyone looking for a cozy retreat in the peak district.

  • "The Love Nest is a nice idea, but not very well executed."

While aesthetically pleasant, it lacks basic amenities (no firewood/kindling for the fire, no sponges or cloths for the sink etc) and isn't particularly practical. If you need to use the bathroom at night, you should take a torch because the lights will blast straight into the bedroom unobstructed as there is no door (just a cast-iron gate), and the toilet is divided by a curtain with no light of its own. The bathtub itself is rather dangerous without a bathmat too; you can realistically only get one person in the middle over the plug as laying back is essentially impossible. The outdoor lights were on for the whole night, and while I will credit the owners for sorting that out upon notification, it left us sleepless the next day. Negatives aside, the owners were very apologetic for our complaints and wanted to offer other options for accommodation, but we cut our stay short on the first night of four. I can speak for the sincerity of the owners, and hope they venture to refine this property.

  • "Good loction to explore area and very near to Chatsworth House."

Property snug and cosy. No instructions on heating thermostat for radiators. Been twice but on last visit the dishwasher wasn't working hence why it was turned off and there was no bulk bins to put rubbish in. Field really good for dogs. There also wasn't any lights in the leisure area (games room) and it seemed the roof was leaking.

  • "Love Nest was a beautiful cabin and in a stunning location."

Such a lovely place to escape day to day life and just appreciate the English countryside. We really only had a few issues which were that we messaged the non-emergency number and never had a response :( the reception area was also not open during our stay so I guess we just felt a little cut off. There weren't any logs provided for the log burner, just a few bits of kindling. We weren't sure whether we were to provide them ourselves (which is understandable as it is expensive!) So just some clarification would have been good. There also wasn't a first aid kit that we could find which would have been useful! Just these touches would have made the stay a bit easier and more comforting. Other than that we really loved it! :)
