"Positives:- Beautiful farmhouse with spacious rooms, fully equipped with everything you need Lots of outdoor space and very quiet surroundings Swimming pool and games room a lovely touch Negatives:- Shower in the changing room next to swimming pool was cold (did not warm up), no first aid kit in kitchen where the manual stated it was."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Farmhouse for a family member's 30th in September."
The cottage was lovely - comfortable, big enough for 10 afults and spotless. The swimming pool was a great bonus too!

"We booked The Farmhouse for a family birthday weekend and it did not disappoint!"
We were 3 family groups ranging from 2-73 years and everyone had a fantastic time. The Farmhouse was well equipped with everything you could need including extras such as dish cloths, tea towels, washing up liquid and hand wash in the bathrooms that some places do not bother to provide. The facilities such as the pool and games room and the outdoor spaces were excellent and the location was ideal for a rural stay with all the beauty of the Peak District on the doorstep. The Farmhouse is a characterful old building with some steps between rooms and care should be taken accordingly. We would certainly like to stay here again.

"Parts of this holiday are excellent."
It is a lovely house with shared swimming pool etc. Ideal for a large family with dogs. Bathrooms and kitchen are good and clean. Located in the picturesque hills. It is let down by a number of items. The dirrections take you to the wrong place, a 40 minute find in daylight. The postcode is for a similar named property that has actually invested in a sign to re-direct guests etc. There is no PRIVATE garden. There are 2 dishwashers, nice for 10, but no washing machine except a shared facility requiring cash.

"Lovely house set in a pretty, well-designed complex of holiday cottages with the amazing advantage of a shared swimming pool and games room with [pool and table tennis."
The area is beautiful with walks from the house. The house on the whole is comfortable with very good beds and a really lovely, well-equipped kitchen. However, it was not very clean (cobwebs, dirty socks and tissues under the beds) and a lot of the furniture is very tired (chest of drawers in downstairs bedroom is totally unusable). I am disabled so the downstairs bedroom is great, and it was lovely to have a shower stool provided, but please could you fit a grab-handle in the shower.

"10 members of our family stayed at the Farmhouse and had a lovely time there."
The listing states the pool is 1 mile away, imagine our delight finding it 100yds away onsite. The Farmhouse was packed with character and ten people were easily accommodated for. The little extras made all the difference, dishwasher tablets, dish cloths, tea towels, coffee pods, sugar, things you may not pack. Our only complaint was the rust in the microwave which is now flaking into items being heated, for the price of a microwave it simply needs replacing.

"The bed configuration is not as stated in the advertised property there are only 3 doubles not 4 as stated so disappointed as there were 4 couples ."
The house its self was lovely and spacious and in an ideal location had a fabulous time with my family and the swimming pool was an added bonus as the weather was a bit hit and miss .

"A bit rough around the edges."
Bedrooms are not as described on the website. The bedding, towels and bathrooms were clean but the house as a whole was dusty, cobwebby and in need of a deep clean. Bedroom furniture needs updating, old musty smelling wardrobes, didn't hang any clothes up. The ovens were not clean, tin foil to cover up did not work. Microwave had exposed rust, unsafe and should be changed. Fridge small for a house sleeping ten, no door shelves. The complex is nice, we enjoyed the pool and games room, but again all looking a bit tired and needs a good clean and update, roof windows were leaking. Good location for a group getaway.

"The address on the website does not take you to the house."
the listings for the bedrooms are incorrect. The website states two super kingsize rooms, 2 kingsize and a twin. However there are 2 twin rooms and only one super kingsize. It was tricky to figure out the heating the upstairs room to the left with the en-suite was really hot through the night I was worried about my baby over heating. We turned all the radiators off and had the window open and was still too warm we couldn’t figure out why as the other rooms upstairs seemed a lot cooler. Other than the warm room our stay was lovely and we would definitely recommend.

"Lovely for a joint 1st and 30th birthday celebration."
The house is really cosy and we enjoyed lots of games round the kitchen table. The pool was lovely and warm. Only negative feedback is that the bedrooms aren’t listed accurately; there were two twin rooms when we arrived.

"Had a fantastic few days at the Farmhouse."
We walked in through the front door and were blown away by the beautiful Christmas decorations and stunning property. The house was warm and cosy and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need . We had bad weather but the swimming pool and games room meant that we were kept entertained. Our 2 dogs loved the field behind the property .We will certainly visit again . Mark the maintenance guy was really friendly ( we had no maintenance issues with the house ) but he was chatty and very helpful.
