  • "We've stayed in our fair share of holiday cottages and this was definitely one of the best."

It was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped. It was very easy to navigate the area. As soon as you are out of the village you are on to an A road and there are plenty of B roads to get you where you are going. No need for single track country lanes. Having said that I couldn't get over how quiet the roads were. It was a very pleasant area to explore and a beautiful cottage to come back to. We'd definitely stay here again if we're ever back in the area.

Where you’ll be staying

HARLEY

Much Wenlock 2 miles; Ironbridge 8 miles; Bridgnorth 10 miles; Shrewsbury 10 miles

Harley is a pretty Shropshire village with a wealth of history situated just to the west of Wenlock Edge, not far from Much Wenlock. Recorded in the Doomsday Book in 1086 as “A manor with enough wood for a hundred swine” and the pretty village Church of St Mary is first recorded in 1291. The site of a Roman Villa has been found nearby. Harley is also a ‘thankful village’ one of the very few villages which saw no men lost in the First World War. The surrounding countryside is lovely and there are many fine views towards Wenlock Edge and the local landmark of the Wrekin Hill.
