"The cottage is extremely well presented and everything you could need for a weeks stay has been thought of by Rose the owner."
When we arrived at the cottage it was very clean and tidy, and Rose had left a lovely welcome hamper which was very much appreciated and a lovely touch. Rose contacted us soon after we had arrived to check everything was ok, and also to let us know if we needed anything we only had to contact her. The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring the local area, and it’s very quiet with very little traffic or road noise passing by the cottage. We visited the Red Lion pub just up the road for Sunday Lunch which was fantastic. We would highly recommended staying at Lilimae Barn and hope to come back again to stay.
Sincere thanks, Richard - I really do appreciate you taking the time to offer such positive feedback. I am so pleased the cottage and location met all of your requirements and it would be an absolute pleasure to welcome you again. Property Owner

"We had a lovely stay at this comfortable little cottage."
It was spotlessly clean and the towels were very soft. The child friendly items (eg highchair, cot, and stair gates) made the holiday much easier. The wonderful welcome basket, including some sweet gifts for the children, was a very nice touch. It is in a great location for exploring the Peak District area. The Red Lion pub in the village served delicious food and was quiet and welcoming to children.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, Laura - it is much appreciated. I am so pleased you and your family had a lovely break at Lilimae Barn and that the area offered something for you all. Property Owner

"This is a superbly renovated cottage in a delightful village."
The attention to detail is amongst the best we have stayed in and Rose is equally attentive in all her communication. The cottage has a high spec kitchen and bathroom and a comfortable and well equipped bedrooms with stacks of wardrobe space. The bath towels are the softest we've encountered in a hotel or B&B and the lounge is light and airy. We loved our short stay and plan to return in the future.
Thank you so very much, Paul - your feedback is very much appreciated indeed. I am thrilled you had such a lovely break and it would be a pleasure to welcome you back. Property Owner

"Lilimae Barn is a beautifully appointed and very well equipped property."
The property was spotlessly clean and Rose was a wonderful host with exactly the right balance of care without ever being intrusive. We felt that our stay represented excellent value for money, especially given the prime location in the Peak District. We were able to easily access all the best locations and hikes from the tranquil setting in Hognaston. Thank you Rose, we would love to stay again. Absolutely brilliant!

"Even before we arrived we had a message from Rose asking any requirements to ensure everything was perfect on arrival."
When we got to the cottage she had left us a welcome tray with thoughtful locally sourced treats and butter, bread and milk ready for us, even though we hadn’t requested this. The cottage itself was beautiful inside and out, finished to a very high standard, and with everything you could possibly need provided and ready, and easy to find. The decor is perfect- cosy and rustic, and every room was lovely, from the relaxing living area to the rainforest shower in the bathroom. The cottage is situated in the middle of the village but the environment still felt so quiet and relaxed. Local residents were friendly, and we loved exploring Carsington water (a nice walk to get there), Dovedale stepping stones, and the Heights of Abraham. Definitely would have liked to do a little more hiking as the area around Hognaston is beautiful. Rose kept contact without being at all intrusive, to ensure everything was ok. This was much appreciated. Overall it was a home away from home and a perfect stay, we wouldn’t change anything and would recommend highly to everyone.
Hi Humaira- I can’t thank you enough for your feedback. I’m so pleased you had such a lovely break and everything was to your satisfaction. Thank you also for your recommendation, it is much appreciated indeed. We hope to welcome you again in the future. Property Owner

The barn is in a lovely little village, very close to Carsington Water and in an area full of activities for the children. The barn was spectacularly refurbished and sparkling clean. We would highly recommend Lilimae Barn and we would definitely go back!

The cottage was immaculately clean and comfortable with everything you can think of provided. The kitchen had a fantastic range of equipment and crockery, glasses etc. The bedrooms are lovely and comfortable with lots of storage. The bathroom is also a pleasure to use. The host, Rose, goes above and beyond with a very generous welcome pack and texts to check if everything was OK. This is a really top quality holiday cottage and the best we have had through Sykes.

"Everything was perfect about our stay at Liliemae Barn."
Property has been beautifully modernised and is of a very high standard. We received communication from the host before and during our stay just to make sure we had everything we needed and all was okay, which it was, stairgates and a travel cot/ cot fitted sheet were also provided for our young grandson. The location of the barn is ideal to reach all the Peaks District has to offer, so close to Carsington Waters, Dovedale, Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne. Would definitely recommend.
