  • "We had a wonderful stay in Candlelight Cottage."

The cottage was immaculate and clearly cared for and well maintained. It was nice to receive a welcome text after arrival from owners who are only 10 mins away if you should have a problem, which we didn't as everything was perfect. The village was lovely with friendly locals, Our son had car problems and a local came and lent him some tools which was kind. Will hopefully stay again as so many places still to visit in the area, and share details with friends and family.

  • "We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in Candlelight Cottage."

The cottage itself was really clean and warm, and the Christmas tree was a special addition that made it seem even more inviting! We particularly enjoyed the comfort of the sitting room, the log burner is a lovely touch. The kitchen was very well equipped but we did also very much enjoy the food and atmosphere in the Red Lion across the green! The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and there was loads of wardrobe space. It was ideally situated for walks from the doorstep. All in all we had a fabulous break and definitely hope to return to Candlelight Cottage in the near future.

The location was peaceful with a lovely views at the front and rear of the property. We really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in the Red Lion pub and the local shop had delicious homemade cakes along with anything else you might need. We didn't have to travel far to enjoy, Tideswell, Hathersage, Upper Burbage and Castleton. Picturesque villages and great walks we enjoyed on our weekend break.
