The cottage was so cosy and comfortable. The beds were one of the most comfortable I've stayed in. Home from home and everything you'd need. Tescos about 10 mins away at most and must have dinner at ye old Dunn cow in colton. Would recommend and will likely take mum to stay

It’s so clean and has the comfiest beds. The whole feel of the place is beautiful, just watching the sunsets or sun rises, saying hi to the very friendly sheep or just chilling with a drink it’s really is a home from home. The cottage is so central to so many places, making it a fantastic base. We highly recommend the cottage and would love to return again.

  • "A fabulous relaxing place to stay for us and our 2 boys (aged 2 and 3)."

So impressed with the very well equipped large cottage (even providing children’s cutlery and plates, bed guard, cot, high chair, toys and teddies!). It was comfortable with lovely views, and the added bonus of a large area for the boys to run around whilst watching the sheep and chickens. It really is a home from home setting and you will want for nothing. Location is spot on to explore the big tourist attractions of Alton towers and Drayton manor, both around 30-40 minutes away. Big thanks to owner Melanie who was so welcoming and all the little things she thought of to make our stay special. The attention to detail, especially for guests with young children, was so thoughtful and like nowhere else we have been, where children are often treated as either not welcome or a burden. The fact you had actively thought about your young guests and included them in catering for their needs was so lovely and refreshing. It really made our little family feel valued and welcomed as guests. Thank you!

  • "Bellamour End Cottage is a beautiful holiday home in a quiet location, but not too far from a local village with a small shop and 2 pubs."

It is on a smallholding with some child friendly farm animals. There are walks directly from the cottage, as well as it being very near to Cannock Chase which offers lots of walking opportunities. It is ideally located for visiting Staffordshire towns, such as Stafford, Lichfield, Tamworth etc. Cannock Town Centre is itself worth a short visit - especially on market day. Shugborough Hall (NT) is about 10 minutes away by care and it is less than half an hour to the National Memorial Arboretum. At the end of the day, the cottage is homely and welcoming to return to, with a well equipped kitchen to meet all self catering needs. The owners live in a house a few yards away and are helpful if needed, whilst not being intrusive. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Mel and George have thought of everything and this makes the cottage a proper home from home. The welcome basket is a great idea, and the promise of fresh egg's during the week is lovely. The property is centrally located between Stafford and Litchfield but yet you feel in the middle of country. Suggestions of places to visit from Mel's parents and a tractor lesson from George made our break in Staffordshire personal and relaxing. We will return to Bellamour and will also recommend it to friends and family. Thank you.

It was like a home from home, with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was the most well equipped one in any holiday home we have stayed on. The sofas were comfy and the living room cosy with the logburner. The beds were very comfy too and the shower lovely and powerful. Really great for our kids too with lots of toys provided, a huge garden to run around in and lots of animals to see. Mel, the owner who lives next door, was welcoming and friendly and we would definitely return. The only teeny downside is its next to a road and there were some loud cars going past occasionally, so it's not completely peaceful (obviously this isn't a fault of the owners, just something to think about if you want complete peace and quiet).

There is nothing to fault. The owners, Mel and George are so welcoming and ensure everything is as it should be. They give freely of their time if any issues should arise such as how to manage the heating. The property is very comfortable throughout and is well decorated. Colton village is a short walk away and Rugeley railway station is a short drive away. The area is great for walking from canals to Cannock Chase and a good local bus service means areas are accessible for a walk and a drink. We’re already planning our third visit for 2024. Great cottage, great location and great hosts.

Given the difficult circumstances of the current uncertain times, we, understandably, had some concerns about travelling anywhere but we needed to have no worries - the minute we arrived Mel was there to greet us in person. What a great welcome - Mel's whole family were involved in the preparation - George baked the bread, Wren gathered the eggs from the free-range chickens and ducks, Ted provided the firewood and the bees provided the honey. By the time we left we felt part of this lovely family - including the grandparents! Mel is such a super lady and a super host. She strikes that difficult balance of ensuring we had everything we could possibly need throughout the visit and the recognition of letting us just get on with whatever we chose to do. The cottage is top notch - pristine, warm, welcoming and so well-equipped. Mel's attention to detail assured the most relaxing break, proving beyond doubt that a 'staycation' is the way to go! Having never visited this area before, there was little or no need to pre-research places to visit, eat etc. All Mel's files and recommendations had been updated with the latest Covid-19 information regarding openings, routines, deliveries for take-outs etc - thank you for recommending the local Chinese - first rate-cuisine was delivered fresh, on time and roasting hot!! Mel - your (and Wren's) kindness and patience with the children went above and beyond the norm - such a wonderful experience for them and fond memories to take home. I would unreservedly recommend Bellamour - it is what it says on the tin - a beloved place.

  • "We had a brilliant stay at Bellamour Cottage."

The cottage was beautiful and really comfortable, with lots of lovely touches to make our stay perfect, including a box of toys which our four year old loved and fresh bread, eggs and honey on arrival. Our host Mel was really friendly and introduced us and the children to the chickens, ducklings and a very sociable turkey! There was loads to do in the surrounding area and the guest pack was really helpful in identifying days out and takeaways nearby. We really hope to stay at Bellamour again soon!
