"Pros: Really cosy!"
We loved the fireplace, the cleanliness and the facilities. There was a lovely mix of cottage vibes with the newness of the refurbishment. We would recommend to friends and family.
Cons: One of the front steps is a bit wobbly so could be a problem for less able people.

"It's a lovely cottage and we loved the gardens so it would have been nice to have a couple more garden chairs in the back garden near the cottage."
Just to say that the top step in the front garden is a bit wobbly so may need a bit of attention. The only other thing was that the bathroom and bed doors are quite creaky so if anyone is a light sleeper, which my daughter is, they may be woken by someone going to the bathroom.

"Lovely cottage, the only downside was that it was on a busy road which we were not expecting so it was noisy in the main bedroom with the windows open."
It would be a bit cramped for 4 adults.
The position was good for walks along the canal and cycle track and we did a walk from the cottage up to the moors. There were lots of places to visit nearby, we especially liked Jodderel bank.
Thank you for the comment. There has been extra traffic due to their been a diversion over Pott Shrigley . Glad you enjoyed the cottage and the surrounding area .
We hope to welcome you back soon

The cottage had everything we could have wanted and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Being dog friendly was important for us and again everything was provided to ensure a stress free holiday.
The location is excellent for access to the Peak District and also the Macclesfield canal and Middlewood way; the walks in the local area are beautiful.
We look forward to visiting again in the future!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fox Bank Cottage."
The cottage was clean and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed, even down to dog bowls, and the garden was of a very good size and secure for our dog. The location is perfect for easy access to level walks and Bollington with its shops is not far. The nearby Toby Carvery was useful too. We appreciated the welcome pack of milk, crisps and wine - thank you - and the personalised welcome was very thoughtful. We would recommend Fox Bank Cottage and would love to return in the future.

"Property excellent."
One of the best appointed cottages we have ever stayed in. V comfortable beds and large soft towels. Small bath towels are a pet hate of mine! Our only niggle was that the garden fencing was not adequate for a big dog. We improvised by blocking the gates at the bottom of the garden with the garden furniture. If we had not needed to do that it would have been perfect.

"This is the second time I have stayed at Fox Cottage in Bollington."
The position of the cottage sandwiched between the Macc canal and the Middlewood way is idyllic for lovely walks with my dawg.
Bollington itself is a 30 min walk into the centre or a 5 min drive for everything you need.
The countryside in this area is beautiful. The cottage itself is super cosy, clean and warm.
I very much look forward to staying again.

"A lovely, cosy cottage in a good location for driving into the Peak District."
The owners have provided some nice personal touches which mean that, although small, the cottage is comfortable for two people. The garden is a good size and very secure for a dog. The proximity of both the canal path and the Middllewood Way, both within a few metres of the cottage, means that dog walks are not a problem.

"Had a great 3 nights stay recently, a lovely welcome pack, thank you."
The cottage is in a good location close to many attractions, although walking from doorstep with a pet could be a little precarious with the amount of traffic that runs by.
Wi-Fi and the addition of a couple of smart tvs an added bonus, a great enclosed rear garden ideal for the dog.
Just a couple of negatives the double bed not the most comfortable due to condition of the mattress, also on departure as I removed the bedding in the twin room I noticed that the mattress was badly stained.
If these issues were resolved I would not hesitate in visiting again in the near future.
Many thanks
Pete……

"Good location especially for walking."
Lovely garden.
A lot of money has been spent on this cottage but
unfortunately not that well equipped - no mirror in main bedroom or bins in any bedroom. No oven gloves, colander or sieve in tge kitchen. The cottage was full of cobwebs and with broken glass in the dishwasher when we arrived which is a shame as it has the makings of a great place.

"We had a lovely stay at the Fox Bank Cottage!"
It's located at a scenic and tranquilising area so that means it's great for a retreat or relaxing holiday. Listening to the crackling and popping sound of the burning woods is the best way to wind down in a chilly evening.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything we need if decided to have a night in enjoying home cooked food. A pub is just down the road if want to have something different.
However, there are couple of things that might have been overlooked:
- the snacks in the welcoming basket have been expired before we moved in or they might have been left from previous clients?
- it'd be nice if there are some toiletries available until we manage to get some from the shops and a refill for toilet and kitchen rolls
