The property

This homely four bedroom townhouse located in Matlock, Derbyshire, has everything you need to enjoy a break in the Peak District.

With a stylish interior and spacious surroundings, it’s perfect for families and groups of friends who’ll have plenty to do throughout their stay.

The open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area makes hosting a dinner party easy, while guests can relax in with a book on the sofa or why not get all the family together to watch a film on the television.

And with four bedrooms to choose from, there’ll be no reason not to get a good night’s sleep.

While those staying on the top floor are treated to fine views of the town from the window.

There’ll also be no fighting over the shower, with the property possessing an en-suite and also a family bathroom.

The utility room, located in the cellar, makes washing that little bit easier.

If hosting a dinner party, why not take it outside to the patio, with seating for all the group.

Got something to celebrate?

Then why not take the celebrations that one step further and enjoy a glass of bubbly in the hot tub! Just a quarter of a mile from the property is Matlock town centre, where you’ll find plenty of fine restaurants, pubs and shops.

While the family can experience all the fun of the fair at the nearby Gullivers Kingdom, situated just two miles away in Matlock Bath.

Another good day out is the Matlock Mining Museum, where you guests are able to take a tour and learn about the town’s history.

Located in the centre of the Peak District, you’d be foolish not to take a cable car to the summit of the heights of Abraham, where breath-taking views of the gorge are on offer.

While you can also learn about the structure of the Peak District as well as some of the creatures that inhabited it at the Fossil Factory.

Other places of note to visit include the stunning town of Bakewell and also Chatsworth House and Gardens.

With its countryside and plenty of attractions, it really is the perfect spot for families to experience Matlock and the Peak District.

Where you’ll be staying

MATLOCK

Matlock Bath 1 mile; Bakewell 8 miles.

The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, has been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich. To the north are the market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Park - not to be missed!
