  • "Great location, cottage was well maintained internally and externally the lawns and gardens were lovely."

Main bed is king-size and easily long enough if you're 6ft plus tall, too often holiday rentals only offer 6ft mattresses. Great walks direct from the property and down in Oakamoor, doggets had a great time.

Where you’ll be staying

MONEYSTONE

Cheadle 3 miles; Ashbourne 10 miles.

A lovely unspoilt hamlet, Moneystone is an ideal base for the Churnet Valley and Staffordshire Moorlands or as a year-round destination to explore the Peak District National Park just to the north. Hills and valleys surround the hamlet and it is possible to walk for miles without crossing any roads. Moneystone overlooks the Churnet Valley in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands, at the south end of the Peak District. The area is a delight for walkers and cyclists, including two former railway routes: the 'Manifold Trail' following the route of the old Leek-to-Manifold Light Railway and the picturesque ‘Oakamoor to Denstone Greenway’. Nearby are Oakamoor, Ipstones, Ilam, good pubs and village shops, whilst further afield are the market towns of Ashbourne and Leek and of course Alton Towers theme park, just 3 miles away.

Please Note: The 3rd bedroom is an external pod with 1 x twin (zip/link bed which can be made king-size upon request)
