  • "You will not find a more comfortable and clean house than Loningside."

It's also centrally located which makes it easy to pop to the shops to pick up supplies. This is our fourth stay at the cottage and we look forward to many more visits.

The house is well equipped and spotlessly maintained. The surrounding countryside is attaractive, and it is easy to get to Birmingham, Wolverhmpton, etc. by bus and train.

  • "This is the third time we've stayed at Loningside and we couldn't ask for better accommodation!"

It's conveniently located by the shops and is extremely homely and comfortable with everything you need for an enjotable stay. There's also a nice big garden that is great for playing football with the little one. Already looking forward to our summer trip back!

  • "Loningside has a unique character and atmosphere."

The house was comfortable, spotless and did not lack any facilities. The garden and the views around were excellent. There is a tremendous amount to enjoy in the near vicinity and even more within a short car journey. Our hosts Ruth and David were most friendly, are very attentive and were impressively quick to sort out any minor difficulties that arose during our two weeks stay. We felt that parking for two cars might be a little optimistic for some and certainly take strong nerves on the part of the drivers.

  • "We used the cottage as a base to tour the local NT properties."

I found traffic and road layout a bit difficult in Wolverhampton so tended to avoid it. To the West, just a few miles, is Wild Zoological Park. A small zoo but a perfect day out. The bird flying display has a finale including dozens of birds flocking overhead with birds you normally see only in cages. The parrots feeding out of your hand is an experience. Just a short walk down the road is the path of the old railway and the canal that can be linked up to make a circular walk finishing at the cafe on the old station platform. The cottage is very comfortable and had everything needed for self-catering. The only thing was the oven door opening to the side by your leg so care was needed. The bus stop is close by. The garden is well kept and has views over the woods. The owner made us welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

  • "Some might say out of date."

We loved this house. Homely. Very clean. The bedding was so crisp and clean. I was so impressed with the kitchenware as a lot of places we've stayed overlook the pans and trays being badly marked. These were beautifully clean. The host Ruth was very welcoming and friendly and assuring that they were around if needed but was not intrusive. Would definitely stay again if that way.

  • "This is one of the most comfortable properties we have stayed in."

Warm and welcoming upon arrival, with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and sitting room, spotless bathroom and quality bed linen and towels. The owner had done everything to ensure our stay went without a hitch. Wombourne is an interesting village with plenty of local shops and pubs. The location of the house is just a few minutes walk from the old railway line and canal, both providing plenty of walking opportunities. This is an undiscovered gem of a location on the edge of the Black Country; we shall be returning.

Will definitely be staying here again when we come on our next visit to the UK. The cleanness of the property was exceptional. Very specious garden and bedrooms, leaving room, and bathroom. Was delighted to find the property had both a dishwasher and washing machine. Very kid friendly for our 4 year old, after we had moved knives and put a towel down on the corner of the hearth.

We were met by the owner, who had provided a welcome pack and homemade cakes, which was a thoughtful touch. She had even decorated for Easter. The beds were comfy and it was a real home from home. The property is well located, within walking distance to pubs and shops, lots of places to visit nearby, and we were able to go for some lovely walks into the countryside right from the house.

The owner met us with cakes and buns and had laid the table for afternoon tea, which at the end of a long journey was very welcome and very special. I think overall it's the best holiday cottage we've had. Also very well placed with shops nearby yet within easy reach of the countryside and places of interest.

The house is perfect for families sleeping 5. Ruth and David were so welcoming and easy to talk to and so considerate of my personal needs. I appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the washer, the great central heating radiators which I used to dry my washing, a comfy lounge with decent sized tv, the file folders full of local information and resources and the freezer! Many self catering places do not have a freezer which I myself find almost essential. We cooked all our own meals. This house feels like home away from home and II would definitely come back and rent again.

It's a lovely house; comfortable, clean and with a homely feel. The owners are always welcoming and even have home baking ready for when we arrive. I particularly appreciate this as I have Coeliac and am lactose intolerant so baking for me is not straightforward. The garden is well kept and having parking and free Wi-Fi is great.
