  • "Lovely conversion."

Very comfortable. Close to good pub. Pity you could not arrange for weather to be better...lol.still we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Only real gripe is the cooker/hob. We stayed a week and still had not mastered it and I'm sure a couple of the rings are not working properly but I could be wrong. Many thanks again David

There was everything we needed for 4 nights and being able to take advantage of the beautiful garden was an absolute bonus, our little dog loved it! Parwich is a quiet little village with a good pub (very popular at the weekend so booking is advised). Tracy-Ann and Simon are great hosts - there if you need them but never intrusive. Would we go back? Yes, definitely!

A beautiful village. Very easy to find and great local areas. We arrived and we’re greeted by Simon who was working outside. Very friendly then later we’re treated properly by the host who was friendly and lovely. Great fresh eggs on arrival which was a lovely touch. The cottage/lodge was lovely and quaint. Bathroom was a little tight but absolutely fine. Kitchen was well equipped even with washer and dryer so. The garden which was ours was to the side of the property was beautiful and well kept. No gate tho which at first made me worried but even if you have a pooch that will rub out its perfection safe as it’s a private road /entrance to the house so I was at ease. Just be careful when washing up as the sink is solid and we accident it broke a glass which the host was very understanding and told me not to worry. Literally the main thing I wouldn’t recommend which is coming from someone who relys on tech is that the tv needs a chrome cast or some casting device so you can turn the tv into a smart tv and cast from your phone on a evening or if staying in the lodge. I worked from home a few half days while there and would of found it easier. Overall great beautiful lodge in a lovely area !

The living space was just what we needed, full of character and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed (important!). Ideally a bath would be welcome but we knew there wouldn't be one - no room - and the shower room was neat and clean Parwich itself is a beautiful, spacious village and we were warmly welcomed into the excellent local pub which serves quality food. The secluded rear garden beside the property was a real bonus, very well kept and full of bird life, plus a friendly visiting cat who didn't bother them but made up to us. Owners could not have been more helpful, as previous visitors have noted.

  • "I would not call it comfortable."

Clothes dryer didn't work and there was no other substitute, the heating was only on in the early morning and early evening which is not sufficient for comfort - the wood heater cannot heat the cottage. There was half eaten food in the coffee cups in the cupboard. The bathroom is really very uncomfortable, really tiny and very, very awkward. I would not recommend this cottage and I don't think the description is fair or accurate.

Thank you for your comments and I am sorry that you were not fully happy with your stay. Had we been made aware of your issues, we would have been able to help and advise you on how to adjust the heating as full instructions are left in the property. I am sorry that you found food in a cup as this clearly has been left by a previous guest but I will be sure to check everything in the cupboards in future. We feel that the picture of the shower room is clear and have added the word 'small' to the description to avoid any uncertainty in future. Property Owner

  • "The photo of the barn is pretty misleading."

We expected the barn to be fairly set back away from the family property, but actually it is situated less than a meter away to the left of the photo. The family were lovely, but the location meant we couldn't sit with the door open for the dog and the family were constantly walking past and through the garden at the back. Not private at all. If we'd have known this we probably wouldn't have booked it. It would also be worth noting before booking that there is zero phone signal at the barn. We half expected it, but I was expecting an important phone call that week and I was constantly worrying about missing it! In the end I had to rearrange the phone call. There is also no mention that the property has really good wifi, this would be a selling point.
