The "welcome pack" was very welcome! The only small negative was the amount of flies that we had to contend with, which I suppose is what you'd expect to find on a working farm.

If you have a dog you can only walk up the lane, which is very muddy as there is only a patio.would be lovely in dry weather.Dogs are not allowed upstairs, notice on the door. There is no phone signal but we did manage to catch the owners with a problem and the man was very efficient in dealing with it. Would come back in better weather, only came in February as meeting up with our 2 year old dogs sisters.

As warm and cosy as you want to make it. We arrived in wet weather but when we entered through the boot room, (well we called it that), we were able to hang our wet clothes up to dry. There was even a hose outside so we could wash our muddy boots, and the dog, before we came in. Lovely welcome pack of wine and cake. We really wanted to stay forever!

  • "A wonderful stay and very comfortable."

Just a few pointers in relation to minor cleanliness and maintenance issues: Toilet brush/holders could do with replacing; Patio door latches outside missing so nothing to secure them in the breeze; Master bedroom curtain hook missing; Another hairdryer in second bedroom and small mirror on the shelf would be useful. We would certainly stay again

Dear Michael. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for pointing these minor issues out. We were having the patio doors and outside of the cottage repainted to try and keep the cottage up to date and to protect against the weather and did not realise these had been removed (it was very difficult to find a long dry stretch with the patchy weather). As soon as the following guest came to us directly we re-attached them straight away. The same for the curtain hook in the bedroom. We will replace the toilet brush holders and find another mirror for the shelf. If you have any future issues please do come to us straight away and we can sort them out. We hate for you to have had to put up with things that you weren't happy with rather than giving us a chance to sort them out at the time and finding out via feedback here. Best Wishes and hope to see you again. Conkers. Property Owner

  • "Conker Cottage is situated in a beautiful part of the country and being on a working farm makes it more charming."

One “small” irritant was the down stairs bathroom , A; The emitting stench . B; size, don’t try to use it if you are over a size “10” So, would we back ? Yes, as soon as the problems with the bathroom is sorted .

Thank you for your feedback and constructive comments. After having the plumbers in, we have now had the downstairs shower tray (which was deemed to be the main cause of the issue due to a small crack) replaced along with some of the pipe work. This seems to have alleviated the whole issue regarding any smell. We apologise if this impacted your stay with us, as we are very proud of our cottage and our strong record of amazing feedback from all our previous guests. Unfortunately we cannot do anything about the size of the bathroom downstairs due to its location, we have never had any other feedback stating this as an issue. There are also two other en-suite bathrooms within the property. We would love to see you again if you choose to return. All at Conkers Cottage. Property Owner
