"Had a great weekend."
Would love to go back!
-
"We absolutely loved our stay, the cottage is so much more than we expected and in a great location!"
We booked it to avoid fireworks for our dog and it was the best spot to do so, couldn’t hear a thing! Such a nice touch being left bread, butter, milk and even a bottle of Prosecco! Wouldn’t hesitate to book here again, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loads of gorgeous walks nearby!
-
"Enjoyable stay with everything we needed."
Great area, great views. Host was very friendly and obliging. Would recommend and stay again.
-
"Gorgeous cottage , amazing views ."
Just perfect.
-
"Lovely cottage in a lovely location, Roomy, clean and comfortable with most things that you'd need though an iron and ironing board would be a helpful addition and bin bags for bathroom and bedroom bins."
Lovely little secure garden with a delightful decked sitting area and hot tub with beautiful views -although there is no direct access to it from the house, you have to come out of house and through a little side gate (just makes life easier ,especially so if you wanted to let the dog come and go as they please). There are lots of walks on the doorstep and within easy driving distance, would definitely stay again.
-
"Outstanding location to access walks, countryside and tourist destinations."
Hospitality of owners and staying on a working farm with cattle, horses, goats, dog and welcome box, first class.
-
"We all enjoyed our stay at The Cottage, Beeston Hall."
The Cottage was accurately described and met our expectations. The location was good for days out - never far to travel, (eg Healey Dell and Hardcastle Crags) but equally happy having car free days at The Cottage with walks from the door. Coming back to relax in the garden and watch the swallows and bats was perfect. Thank you for your hospitality.
-
"We had a wonderful week at Beeston Hall."
So much to see and do in the local area. The cottage was very comfortable and the owners kind, friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful place to stay with fantastic views from the garden and some lovely, dog friendly, local walks.
-
"Amazing stay!"
Thank you!
-
"We loved the cottage."
We really liked that it was an ancient building renovated to such a high standard. It was very warm and comfortable and all the facilities worked well. Having the zip-link beds is a very good idea and for our party, a major point in selecting the property. We appreciated the hot tub which was warm enough to use even though the weather was cold and we had wonderful views over the countryside. Some recommendations from our group: a bannister was seen as a useful addition especially for older guests, a big teapot, more plastic glasses for use in the hot tub and a better fitting filter. One person was surprised at the request to strip our own beds. The only major difficulty was communication with Sykes as I struggled to find an email or phone number. All-in all we had a lovely weekend and I'd like to come back in the summer. Thank you very much.
-
"Absolutely beautiful cosy cottage, with practically everything you need."
Stunning views and so peaceful.
-
"Had the best Christmas, beautiful surroundings, warm welcome and great local pubs nearby."
Would definitely stay again! Thanks
-
"We had the loveliest 2 nights stay at Beeston Hall."
The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy in spacious rooms. We even loved seeing all the animals on the farm and can’t wait to return!
-
"The cottage and it's location are beautiful."
Owners very friendly and helpful. Short walk through stunning countryside to some lovely pubs.
-
"We enjoyed our stay at The Cottage, and were made to feel very welcome The cottage was clean and the beds comfortable."
Nice large kitchen and good stove for cooking on, with enough pots and pans for making meals. The hot tub was very welcome and has an excellent view! We even used the log burner! The weather was somewhat changeable during the week A couple of things that I noticed, a handrail on the stairs would be useful. My sight is restricted and although it doesn’t restrict me much, a handrail on stairs is a plus for me. Also, oven gloves and a few more large plates? Overall our stay was very restful and pleasant, and I would have no hesitation about recommending a stay at The Cottage
-
"This was our second stay at The Cottage at Beeston Hall, and we loved it just as much as the first time."
It is in a beautiful location, well-equipped and comfortable. The hot tub is lovely with stunning views, and we loved seeing the goats this time. I'm sure we will be back, if only to complete the local walks again.

"We loved our stay at Beeston hall."
The cottages is wonderfully renovated but the original structure was preserved. We loved the original beams that were still in place. Upon arrival we got a fancy welcome package which made us feel right at home. All the bedrooms are really spacious and the beds very comfortable. There are two bathrooms. One is very big and modern. The others one is smaller but onsuite with one of the bedrooms. The kitchen is really big and a joy to cook in. The highlights of the cottage for me were the fireplace and the hot tub. After a nice day of hiking in the mountains we could come home, shower, relax in the hottub with a great view over the mountains and afterward cuddle up in front of the fire place. What more do you want on a holliday? The cottage is next to a working farm and the farmer was really nice. You are allowed to come up and say high to the annimals. Overall we had a wonderfull stay and would highly recoomand this place
-
"The cottage is beautifully laid out."
It is fully equipped with everything you need. The views outside are amazing. You can enjoy these views from the hot tub which is a bonus. A welcome pack was left for us which was received with thanks. We would highly recommend this cottage. We will return again in the near future.
-
"We had a great two weeks in a comfortable and clean cottage with spectacular views."
Really enjoyed it.
-
"We had an absolutely fantastic time, the cottage was well equipped, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a perfect location for walks/hiking or scenic drives."
We loved the log fire and the hot tub, and will be booking again for another stay :)
-
"Lovely stay, owners were very friendly and helpful xx"
-
"We really enjoyed our stay at this stone built cottage in Ripponden."
We visited Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall and had some good meals at nearby recommended pubs, Beehive Inn, the Fleece and Alma Inn. The cottage was perfect for our dog too, stone floors, nice field at the back which we were able to use for a quick walk. The garden has a low wall which our dog jumped straight over but luckily no sheep in field so wasn’t a problem. Very well equipped kitchen, nice log burner with logs and comfy beds with good quality sheets. We also enjoyed having a look around the farm.
-
"Lovely cottage situated in beautiful surroundings, within walking distance to the Beehive where we had a gorgeous meal for mam's birthday."
Lovely little touches left in the cottage of processo, bread, milk, butter, dish washer tablets ect. Will definitely recommend and return. Only real negative is no iron/ ironing board.
-
"Beautiful cottage in lovely countryside but not too far from shops etc."
Owners were extremely helpful, friendly & welcoming. We can’t wait to go back :)
-
"Fantastic stay and a beautiful house."
We will be back as we loved it so much.
-
"Lovely cottage in wonderful surroundings."
Plenty of dog walks nearby, a short drive takes you to the moors. Plenty of places nearby worth a visit.
-
"Fantastic holiday home for 3 couples."
Especially liked the open area living downstairs, underfloor heating, stone floors, log burner, Bluetooth speaker, hot tub & extra towels, recycling system, views, the local walks, comms with owners, the sense of privacy. Wonderful place, very happy to recommend and return. Loved it
-
"Brilliant stay, loved the views, thank you!"
-
"Wonderful week away in this lovely quite cottage."
Accommodation was well maintained and clean . Plenty of local walks and villages to explore, then back at the cottage the option of relaxing in the hot tub looking out over the hills. The owners are lovely host and are only next door if you require anything. Very rare we book the same accommodation for our break but decided to book again for next year. All in all a fabulous place to relax and recharge.
-
"We will keep returning the cottage and surroundings are wonderful and the owners are so accommodating great place"
-
"The property was modern & decorated to a good standard."
It was very welcoming as you walk through the door with some wine & bread provided for us & fresh flowers on the windowsill. Unfortunately the weather was not in our favour but it was the start of Autumn. Lovely area for walking.
-
"Thank you for a really enjoyable stay at a great price point!"
We loved the hot tub, comfy beds, fireplace and the location of the cottage. It was the perfect stay and we would definitely return. Thank you ☺️
-
"Our stay at The Cottage, Beeston Hall was wonderful, the views from the garden and hot tub are to die for/idyllic."
The cottage is beautiful, tastefully decorated and modern yet complementing the period build and exposed beams, very clean and well equipped. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely welcome gift of Prosecco, crusty bread cob, butter, and small tea, coffee and sugar along with a vase of beautiful red roses on the window sill. 3 lovely bedrooms with comfy beds and crisp white bedding. We visited the surrounding areas, Hebden Bridge was a fave and ate some lovely meals, The Alma Inn a fave and The Navigation for superb food in down to earth surroundings near the canal. Some lovely walks with our 4 legged friend who had a great holiday too
-
"Great cottage and location, bedrooms beautifully appointed with quality furniture and beds."
Minor criticism only was lack of matching glasses and missing some kitchen implements such as tongs (for turning and lifting things on the grill). Otherwise thoroughly great place , owners next door discreet but very friendly
Hi sorry about the glasses, these have now been replaced and noted regards kitchen tongs Property Owner
-
"The cottage was really well equipped for everything we needed during our stay."
The views are amazing! We felt completely at home. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
-
"Our family get together at this beautiful venue was very Special!"
Not only were we meeting up to celebrate our Mother/Grandma/&Great Grandmas' Birthday, but we were getting together to be with our little 'new additions' to family, whom i had only seen once, due to Lockdown. An exciting time had by all of us! The property was FABULOUS! Everything we could ever need for a relaxing holiday, which we all had throughout our stay! The house was a delight, exceptional care to detail, fresh bedding & towels, spotlessly clean throughout and a welcome pack of bread&butter, tea&coffee&milk, as well as a Lovely suprise bottle of Prosecco! We enjoyed every minute of our stay, the beautiful countryside, farm animals surrounding the fields, and relaxing evenings watching the sun go down and moon rise in the sky... all from the warm, relaxing bubbles in the Hot tub! Our little 'Adventurers', aged 7 & almost 2 enjoyed the run around the lovely lawned garden and visits to watch cows, sheep, chickens and horses really tired them on an evening, so were ready to relax in Hot Tub before bed and a good sleep, refreshed next day! Thankyou for making our family break special, we will definately be staying here again soon!
-
"Lovely property, well laid out with plenty of space for 6 adults."
Hot tub is fantastic and the views are beautiful. Plenty of walks nearby and great pubs in and around Ripponden (try the Beehive!) There were a lot of bugs around and wasps, I know it can't be helped but a trap might've been nice as we had to go inside a lot due to being bitten so much! I couldn't find any blankets. Although it was a warm weekend, some blankets to sit outside at night would be great. We did run out of toilet paper, they provided one roll in each bathroom but as one bathroom is ensuite it wasn't used as much. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need - bring an extra tea towel though! Having a dishwasher was fantastic too. Overall lovely and will be back!
-
"Honestly haven’t got a single bad word to say about this gorgeous place."
The cottage is so homely and clean! It’s so well kitted out with everything you need.. even down to children's books and toys! The living space is a lovely size, each bedroom is so big and the beds are so comfy. There was 4 adults and our 2 year old daughter and of course our doggy and we had the best few nights stay here. The surrounding areas are beautiful! It just couldn’t be more perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer and we will definitely be returning!
-
"We absolutely loved our stay at The Cottage, Beeston Hall."
It was a beautiful property and exceeded expectations. We would 100% like to return to stay again and take advantage of the cottage and the area. Thank you for letting us use your home!
-
"Great cottage to relax and get away from stresses of life."
Amazing views and a hottub which was perfect to relax in. Great facilities, beds comfy, WiFi excellent, smart tv, bose speaker. Kitchen fantastic, even a large freezer which you don't get everywhere you stay! Prosecco, bread, butter, tea, coffee and sugar left for us which was lovely and fresh roses too. We enjoyed lots of shopping and lots of places to choose from! We expecially enjoyed boundary Mills, it has a great one in Colne! We would love to book again when the weather is nicer and explore the local area more. We had a lovely lunch at The Fleece which we also couldn't fault. Few suggestions for the cottage would be a handrail up the stairs, handrail or something for easy access to hottub and also would benefit from a toilet downstairs but otherwise perfect cottage, we will be back! Thank you!
-
"Thank you so much for having us."
It was a beautiful property, spotlessly clean with everything we could possibly need including perfect weather. We had a lovely, relaxing time and would definitely book again, without hesitation m. We loved it there.
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely cottage."
The surrounding scenery is beautiful & its actually hard to believe you're on a working farm, our grandson was invited to see newborn lambs, he absolutely loved it. We had an issue with our disabled son but the owner was really kind & understanding. My mother, in her seventies, travelled with us & she struggled a bit on the stairs as there's no bannister. Thanks for the welcome gift & for allowing us to visit your beautiful cottage, we'd definitely visit again.
-
"Great property in a great location."
Very friendly owners , would recommend and would stay again.
-
"Had a fabulous time for my parents birthdays whilst at the cottage."
Absolutely beautiful setting, great walks with the dogs, nice eating places. The cottage had all the creature comforts you could want, the hot tub and wood burner were a big success. Would highly recommend.
-
"Absolutely amazing"
-
"Perfect getaway location."
Stunning views. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need, was like home from home. We loved the hot tub and was lucky we had some nice weather. The house is on a working farm but still felt very private and secluded due to the fields surrounding. The sunrise in the morning is just so beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be retuning. Thank you
-
"Absolutely beautiful house!"
It went above and beyond our expectations. We will absolutely be back.
-
"We had a lovely stay at The Cottage."
The location is lovely and the cottage provided everything we needed. There were even some very welcome treats provided on arrival. We have already recommended it to friends and family and will look to stay again in the future.
-
"This is the second time I’ve stayed at this lovely little cottage."
It’s the perfect place to stay, with local walks/pubs, but also everything in the cottage needed to enjoy just staying in. Will definitely return again and continue to recommend to friends and family!
-
"We had a lovely weekend at the cottage, such a wonderful space with gorgeous views."
So much to do in the area and explore, but equally could have just sat in front of the fire all day enjoying the landscapes. We were met by a lovely fresh loaf, butter and bottle on arrival too which was a nice touch. Beds very comfortable. The only two things to mention for future consideration are that the hot tub was not hot enough to use on the first night. We arrived at 3pm and by 5/6pm it was still not to temperature. Host was very apologetic and not much that could be done. Maybe just re-fill earlier if possible I guess. The second thing was that the wall in the garden is very low. Low enough for dogs to jump and clear into the field with sheep. One dog was fine with this, but the other dog needed to be on a long line to avoid getting near the livestock. You may want to consider taking a long line if booking. None of the two points above made a difference to the break, just points to consider. We had a great time and would certainly consider returning. Thanks for a lovely stay.
-
"Lovely cottage in amazing location with some wonderful walks nearby."
Cottage was spotless and all facilities you’d need for your stay. Hot tub worked a treat in the snow. Thanks
-
"Great place to stop, all rooms were spacious and very clean."
only small thing was TV remote needs replacing. All in all great place we'll be looking to book again.
-
"We had a wonderful post Christmas stay and will definitely return."
The location, setting and surroundings were superb and the barn was absolutely perfect; cosy, warm, comfortable; plenty of space for a growing family and the hot tub was a wonderful extra. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
-
"Beautiful property on a working farm!"
The wood burner was the high of a stay as it was so cozy! The house was lovely and clean when we arrived and the owners were very accommodating. On arrival, we had been left some lovely fresh bread, butter and a bottle of Prosecco, which was a lovely surprise! We took our two dogs with us, the only issue is the garden is not suitable for dogs (in my opinion). There is a very low wall at the back (about 2 feet high) that any dog could jump and there were sheep in the field behind, so we kept our dogs on leads in the garden at all times, which wasn’t ideal. This issue could be easily and cheaply rectified with a trellis or something similar. Those things aside, I would 100% recommend this hidden gem in the Pennines. I would definitely return with the doggies, once the garden was more suited for put four legged friends.
-
"The Cottage was warm, very comfortable."
Spotlessly clean with lovely white bedding. Really nice location on a working farm where we were made to feel very welcome by Stephen and Rachel.
-
"Lovely cottage."
Thank you.
-
"Amazing cottage, amazing location."
Cleanliness is the highest standard.Highly recommend and looking forward to my next visit.
-
"Lovely cottage with fantastic views."
The owners were spot on in sorting out the issue with the outdoor lights not working as we have elderly dogs and one fell down the step. Great central location for trips to Hebden Bridge and Howarth our new favourite places. A few snag list things maybe could be done like list a freezer in the info on Sykes as we had to ring to check. Also the bath plug really needs a chain on it as it was a struggle to get the plug out at times. And an iron would be nice and a extra tea towel as having to use the same one all week not very hygienic. Apart from those tweaks we loved it and hope to return at some point.
-
"Quiet and comfortable cottage."
Hot tub and garden were great. Lovely walks nearby and great trips slightly further afield. Overall, an excellent stay.
-
"The cottage was clean, spacious and comfortable ,with outstanding views of the countryside."
The hot tub was thoroughly enjoyable, however it would have been useful to have a rotary line in the garden to dry towels .If a stay was more than one week a washing machine would have been an asset. The kitchen could have benefited from a few extra essential items such as more than one teatowel ,oven gloves and frying pans and extra food bin bags and bin bags.
-
"We had a lovely week here, the cottage is beautifully presented with lots of original features."
Lovely walks nearby and the hot tub was fabulous. We would highly recommend and hope to return one day.
-
"A wonderful few days away in a gorgeous cottage with amazing views."
A washing machine would be good if staying longer but other than that the facilities were superb.
-
"Fantastic holiday cottage with really friendly owners."
The view from the cottage whilst in the hot tub was amazing and the lovely wake round the area. The owners were really helpful and friendly and was lovely to learn a bit about the farm. Fantastic holiday we would highly recommend it to anyone thank you
-
"The cottage was amazing, loved every minute."
Perfectly advertised on your page. My only down side was contact with yourselves,I understand Covid made your jobs hard but sometimes the ignorance of your replies were quite stressful, we had to rearrange twice which was understandable but trying to speak to an staff member from Sykes or an email reply was almost impossible. Also to get a message the day before travel to say it was our responsibility to find out if we could still visit the cottage as it was in a local lockdown area. We ended up having to contact the owners direct as the government website wasn’t clear,Calderdale council couldn’t advise and your phones weren’t answered so after ringing many people we found out who owned the cottage and asked them directly if they were happy to host us..still happy to book again with yourselves as hoping it was all covid related that your customer service wasn’t it’s bet

"A fabulous cottage with stunning views Amazing walks are just on the doorstep ..."
A fabulous cottage with stunning views Amazing walks are just on the doorstep Sitting in the hot tub will those views is just a perfect way to relax
-
"Lovely week at the Cottage."
Beautifully maintained and gorgeous view from the hot tub. Great friendly hosts. Easy to reach next door if needed but the layout meant the Cottage remains completely private. Lots of good pubs locally and places to visit to keep our teenagers and younger daughter happy. Places we visited were Sowerby Bridge, the Bronte village of Haworth, Hardcastle Crags and bit further out we visited the Harry Potter set at Malham. Also Pony Treking at Rossendale. Would highly recommend
-
"The owners and kids are amazing people , we helped on the farm and jim the dog ..."
The owners and kids are amazing people , we helped on the farm and jim the dog is so cute , happy holiday will definitely go back again

"I loved my holiday at Beeston Hall."
The cottage is beautiful & super clean. Very well presented & the welcoming gifts were very much appreciated. The surrounding scenery is beautiful too, I didn't want to go home. The only thing I didn't get along with was the zip & link beds, the mattresses were just too firm for me personally, I didn't find them comfortable & I struggled sleeping, my husband however loved the beds & slept peacefully. It hasn't put me off returning though, I'd still come back, I love the place. Thank you for a great holiday.
-
"The cottage was lovely and the surroundings were perfect for short walks and bike rides, straight out of the door."
The kitchen was very well-equipped and the photos do not lie - the place is beautifully decorated, fitted out with good quality furniture, plenty of kitchen storage, everything worked as it should, and there was plenty of space for our family of five to relax. The ensuite shower room was very handy every day! Rachel was easy to contact for a daft thing (missing tea towels and an oven glove) which she remedied within minutes of us asking, and she was around the farm to helpfully answer some questions about the local area. Even though it was literally next door to the farmhouse we were almost unaware of being near it, with the parking space, the "front" door and rear garden being set away from it, so we felt it was private and we had the place to ourselves. The hot tub was a winner with the children and it was lovely to be able to sit in it and look across the valley, seeing nothing but hills, sheep, cows and couple of farmhouses on the other side of the reservoir. There is a slight inescapable niggle that you have to go out the door, across the stone pavers and around the corner to the rear of the property in your swimwear to get in it, but much of a problem. It's a VERY old building, nicely restored and very comfortable - I won't complain that they haven't knocked through the chimney wall to put a patio door in! . There is a storage building for bikes - it is very simple to get out and do a couple of miles circuit around the reservoir, across the dam, or go a bit further for some hill climbs, which made a 6-miler seem much further! Under-floor heating was nice (though it was warm so could not report it's efficiency if it was winter) Very happy with the place, and would recommend it.
-
"Lovely clean modern cottage ."
Shame about the weather but didn't stop the use of the hot tub . Will certainly be back.
-
"Beeston Hall Cottage in Ripponden was absolutely beautiful."
Gorgeous views and great facilities.
-
"Beautiful location, very comfy cottage full of character."
Loved it x
-
"The cottage is beautiful and so clean it’s like a home from home."
The family who own the cottage are lovely people and as it’s a working farm showed us the cows and tractors! We had a bit of trouble with the hot tub but it didn’t spoil our time. Great location and breathtaking views!! We went in done great walks by the river which is just in front of the cottage! We would love to return! Great value too! Thank you for a lovely stay.
-
"It was a beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting"
-
"The cottage is beautiful and the view amazing, and hot tub very enjoyable, we had a wonderful week away with family."

"Really enjoyed our break, the Cottage at Beeston Hall was lovely, well presented and a great location."
Would highly recommend!
-
"Everything was perfect - I wanted to move in full time."
-
"Beeston Hall Cottage was even better than the description."
The setting was peaceful with some great circular walks from the cottage, just right for 3 generations and a dog to enjoy. The living area was roomy and spacious, with underfloor heating and the cottage was very well equipped. Everyone enjoyed the Hot Tub and the owners were friendly and helpful, recommending walks and welcoming an inquisitive 5 year old to 'help' feed the lambs and patiently answering questions about the farm. A fantastic holiday in a lovely part of the country.
-
"Great weekend, great cottage had lovely owners"
-
"Totally relaxing break in a lovely peaceful location in a stunning cottage."
Arrived to warm welcome of the log burner lit for us and Prosecco and some essentials! Fabulous break!!
-
"This is the first cottage we have booked with Sykes (Beeston Hall, Ripponden) and we could not have been happier with the accommodation."
All the rooms were finished and furnished to a high standard. The ingle nook fireplace was gorgeous and our granddaughter took a shine to it. The area is a lovely place to visit with lots to do and then cosy up infront of the fire in the evening. I would reccommend this cottage any time of the year and Rachel is so helpful
-
"Just a beautiful place."
Cosy and absolutely spotless. It honestly exceeded our expectations. Set in a beautiful location, we will definitely return!
-
"We have used Sykes cottages before & always found them helpful with good cottages."
Beeston Hall Cottage was a lovely spot - very comfortable & well equipped. The owner Rachel who lives in the main farm was really welcoming & friendly. The views at the back of the cottage where beautiful & the hot tub was smashing after a hard walk.
