  • "The property was spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable."

Everything we required was available. We had a very enjoyable break and the property contributed to this perfectly. Thank you

  • "We awarded 3 stars out of five."

The hot water was not available all day so for washing up one needed to boil up ketles. The heating times came on too late and went off too late . The utensils and equipement in the kitchen were lacking , no large spoons for servings, scales not working, etc etc. the oven needed a good clean .There was a leaky roof in the consveratory. However the rooms were clean and tidy with a good TV. We would have expected someone to check early in our stay if all was Ok as we have experienced in other holiday lets. To us one of the best features of the property was the frequent bus service from the bus stop at the end of the drive not mentioned at all in the property details.

  • "Great roomy house."

Very cosy on the cold nights. Brilliant base for visiting relatives and nearby towns in the Peaks. Good local dog walks too. Only thing that would have been handy was a ladle in the utensil drawer

  • "It is a really nice place to stay."

Slightly old-fashioned in terms of some of the furniture but this adds rather than takes away. Pub over the road had live music on the Saturday but you could not really hear it inside the house. Great also for access to motorways etc and good dog walking territory!

  • "Field House was a massive beautiful home."

Very comfy and well maintained. Quiet although its on a main road. We felt very much at home on our break. Would highly recommend it for anyone's stays.

  • "The best holiday property I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at."

Gorgeous building and beautiful gardens, The bedrooms were spacious and with two sitting rooms with tv, we all got to watch our favourite programs. The only fault I could mention is the garden was not closed in, thankfully this was not an issue as our dog is quite old and did not wander. Location was good with easy driving to Bakewell, Matlock and Chesterfield etc. Property manager was so very helpful, covered all aspects for our arrival. Would most definitely recommend this property.

  • "We had a nice comfortable stay in the house."

Owner had provided everything to enable you to cook family meals . The place is furnished and equipped with usefull items. Good location near to many tourist sites, dales and lovely towns . Beautiful part of the country. Unfortunately garden not dog friendly, as it has easy access out to main road. So unable to relax in garden with dog off lead.

I will admit that changing beds on my holidays isnt ideal but you dealt with the situation as best you could, thank you - just a shame my teenagers didn't change their own beds!!! And thank you for the £50 gesture it's much appreciated. Thanks Jo

  • "Lovely stay house was really comfortable."

Only downside was garden wasn’t secure however, we were aware of this when we booked. Our daughter loved the children’s snug with the books and games. Had everything we needed. Would book again.

  • "The property was the largest we have ever stayed in."

We really enjoyed the space particularly as it rained for two whole days. Having two sitting rooms was great with two boys with iPads. It was so well equipped that I cooked for us every night. Have only positive things to say about it.

  • "Beautiful garden, but not secure or any way of making the space secure for small people or dogs, so dog had to be on lead at all times."

Very well placed for Derby dales and National Trust properties. When we used the front and back patio stones were very slippy with winter weathering, so we were mindful of that when it rained. Comfy beds and living room space.
