"Very comfortable and extremely well equipped apartment ."
The location is perfect for all that Buxton has to offer and the parking permit works really well. Prior to our visit parking was a concern but we managed to park within 10 yards of the property entrance for our entire stay. Soft furnishings, bedding etc and bedding were exceptional in our experience of rental apartments.

"Lovely place with a nice view across the front walk into the park."
Walking distance to shops, restaurants, coffee and entertainment. Everything we needed for a 4-week stay and Jane was very accommodating. Great for two people. Directions could make it clearer that you enter the property on the back side, down 3 steps, not the front by the park. The road is Hartington, not Harrington.
-
"Excellent apartment very clean and well equipped."
Overlooking the gardens and near to shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend to family and friends. Hopefully we will return in the not to distant future.

"An excellent flat superbly located."
I think the reference to there being a gas fire in the lounge should be deleted since the 2024 gas inspection certificate found in the flat clearly stated that the fire was inoperable and that spare parts were obsolete. Otherwise a lovely stay.
Hello Mr and Mrs Rosser. The fire was mended by official Valor gas fitters back in Feb 2024 with the safety certificate to prove all is well which I have at home and the fault being the ignition to the pilot light which has now been replaced by a new one. I had British Gas say it was obsolete who clearly didn’t want to find the fault if only you had called me I would have told you the fire is in perfect working order the notes you found were clearly when I was trying to get it mended as the fire is only 6 years old. I do hope it didn’t spoil your holiday I will remove my notes and place in a copy of the safety certificate for future reference sorry for the misunderstanding regards Jane Property Owner

"Beautifully fitted out apartment so close to the town centre yet in a quiet location with views of the Pavilion Gardens, the Opera house and the Old Hall Hotel."
So much better value than most Hotels, Apartments and B & B’s in Buxton.
-
"What an amazing apartment in a great location and beautiful views over the pavilion gardens."
The attention to detail was incredible, everything you needed and much much more, spotless accommodation & really comfy bed. The parking permit was great & made packing and unpacking east. Jane clearly takes a pride in this apartment and should be congratulated.

What more can I say! Great few days in an excellent apartment in a lovely place.
-
"Excellent position overlooking the pavillion gardens."
Beatifully appointed and maintained. Well-stocked kitchen. Comfy and warm on one of the coldest weekends of the winter so far. Couldn't have asked for more!

"Great location and the apartment is very well presented and felt like home."
-
"Our second visit and not the last to this wonderful apartment."
The location is central and overlooks the Pavilion Gardens and a great base for seeing this beautiful area. The decor is very tasteful and beautifully done with every detail thought of for comfort and convenience from cozy throws to cotton buds. We can’t think of a single thing missing. A real home from home.

"Jane, the owner, was very helpful and came within a very short time to turn on the heating for us - on 24 July!"
Just arriving from Austria we were not yet accustomed to the cold and rain. We have never seen an appartment better equipped than this one. It was definitely better equipped than our own flat in Vienna. We particularly enjoyed the central location: right on the park with a 5 minute walk to the Buxton Opera. Monika & Karl

"Very quiet and very handy for everything in Buxton."
-
"Firstly excellent location, actually perfect and such a lovely outlook."
The apartment was immaculate, furnishings were amazing and the bed was so comfortable. I loved that there were items we could use which we hadn't brought from home, it was home from home. And so kind of Jane to leave wine and chocolates, we will definitely be back next year.

"This was our second stay at 2B Cavendish Villas."
We spent a weekend here in March and enjoyed it so much we decided to return for a full week. The apartment is really comfortable, very well equipped and in a lovely location. We would highly recommend.

"A beautiful property to which we would return."
Sofa cushions are rather soggy and could do with replacing. Saucepans and roasting tin have had a hard life in the dishwasher and need replacing. Otherwise an excellently presented flat and ideally situated. The milk and chocolates andcshortbread were a nice touch and very welcome
-

It was warm and comfortable with everything we needed for a weeks stay. The welcome treats were a lovely touch and the wine, chocolates, milk and biscuits were very much appreciated. We loved the central location, close to bars and restaurants and enjoyed some beautiful walks in the surrounding hills. The visitor parking permit is a huge benefit. It was a lovely relaxing week in a beautifully appointed apartment.

Jane, was so helpful with everything we asked about, it was spotlessly clean, extremely well appointed and the position was perfect, near to everything. We can definitely give 12 out of 10. Many thanks for a wonderful stay and we'll be back! A1.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this excellent apartment."
It’s a real home from home, very clean, comfortable, well equipped and warm which we really appreciated as the weather wasn’t kind to us! The parking permit is very useful and we were always able to find a space. The location couldn’t be better just minutes walk away from all the facilities in Buxton and the view of the Pavilion Gardens from the living room window is lovely. We found Jane to be very friendly, easy to contact and helpful. Definitely on our list for a return visit.

"The property was fantastic equipped with everything you would need for a great self catering holiday."
Perfect location once we found it. It would help with finding the property if the description included that 2B is at the back of the property off Hartington Road and not accessed from the Broad Walk.

About the location
BUXTON
Tideswell 7 miles; Bakewell 12 miles; Matlock 21 miles.
It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
