"Spotless. Everything you could possibly need."
Would not hesitate to return. It exceeded our expectations. Within walking distance of the town. Fabulous places to eat close by. This place is a must. Thank you so much to 32a.
-
"A lovely basement apartment, clean, comfortable, well appointed and stocked, with off road parking too."
The town centre is only a short walk away, so you can use local buses to get around. We would happily stay there again.

"Nice cottage near everything quiet abit bland needs a rug and some pictures ..."
Nice cottage near everything quiet abit bland needs a rug and some pictures to make it perfect had to bring our own throws and bath mat yes heating is good but sometimes you just like a cover especially when your elderly friendly owners let us park early and lovely little dog bed large and comfortable thankyou
-
"Lovely apartment, met our expectations and nice to have a super king bed."
Plenty of space, modern and well equipped. Location good, quiet but still close to bars and restaurants. Met the property owner, lovely lady and helpful. Had a good week away. Thanks
-

The owners were very friendly and helpful.

"Lovely week in a beautiful part of the country."
Lots of exploring. Excellently equipped apartment . Beautifully presented . Welcoming hosts lots of nice gifts on arrival .
-
"Fabulous clean property very comfortable bed."
Couldn't get the oven to work which Nigel the owner promptly sorted. Great welcome pack which always goes down well. Loved watching the birds in the tree house and we were able to sit out on the garden bench on our first day before it rained the rest of our week. Property was about 5 minute walk from the bus stop for getting to other villages/towns which was very handy as we don't drive. Our only issue was the settees were too low down and not very high at the back but that's a personal choice to us. If we were ever in Buxton again would definitely stay at 32a.
-
"The accomodation and the welcome exceeded our expectations."
We would definitely consider rebooking if we revisit the area.

It was the perfect location for a stroll into Buxton or a short drive to some lovely scenery and walks or the famous Bakewell . The apartment was well equipped with everything needed and the most comfortable and biggest bed for a wonderful nights sleep . I would highly recommend this apartment and can’t wait for a return visit . Thank you to the owners for the lovely food pack that was waiting on our arrival as well . It was just what what needed after our journey .

"Excellent property for two."
Bedroom is much bigger than it looks in the photos. It has all the facilities that you need and the welcome goodies were much appreciated! It is ideally placed for exploring Buxton and there are several pubs and restaurants within east walking distance. All in all a highly recommended property and one that we will return to.
-
"Lovely, warm, comfortable and scrupulously clean flat."
Off road parking a real bonus in Buxton. Quiet road but convenient for town and facilities. The owners are welcoming and helpful but not intrusive, and supplied us with tea. coffee and breakfast items which were much appreciated. We would be very happy to stay again.

"Perfect location for visiting the Peak District and exploring Buxton."
Belinda and Nigel were wonderful hosts, the apartment beautifully clean and equiped, while the welcome pack was a bonus. Parking is a premium in Buxton so to have your own space was also very welcome. Wonderful location and property, can highly recommend!
-
"Enjoyed a lovely week ( despite the weather ) at 32a."
Very warm welcome from Belinda and Nigel and very much appreciated and generous food parcel of bread, eggs, jam , butter, coffee, sugar, tea, milk ,etc., etc. Scrupulously clean apartment, very comfortable bed and everything that we needed was available. Parking off road a huge benefit, and bus passes meant that we only used the car to visit Chatsworth House - our favourite stately home. Highly recommended holiday apartment.
-
"Had a fantastic stay , nice off road parking … lovely comfortable flat …."

"Lovely apartment within walking distance of the main areas of the town and provided a good base for numerous walking areas in the Peak District."
The kitchen was well equipped and the owners had provided some essential groceries to start the week. If I returned to the area, I would certainly consider this property again.

"The accommodation was very comfortable & well furnished."
The internal temperature was very good & the welcome pack was appreciated. Both owners were very helpful & a pleasure to meet. The location was ideal as a base to explore Buxton & other local attractions.
-
"This was a return visit to Buxton, all be it in different accommodation."
This apartment is fantastic and is well situated ust back from the High Street; even though it's very close to the High Street, it was lovely and quiet. Belinda, the owner, was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The welcome pack of eggs, bread, jam and butter was all local and really excellent quality. We couldn't have wished for a nicer place to spend our holiday, and would highly recommend the apartment and location to anyone wanting to stay in Buxton. We will definitely be booking this property again when we return to Buxton in the future.
-
"Lovely flat , very clean and decorated with a homely finish."
Ideally situated. Lovely touch with provisions of milk butter, eggs, jam, tea, coffee and sugar. Highly reccomend this flat. We met both Nigel and Belinda who are lovely hosts.
-
"We would definitely recommend this property."
It provides a comfortable and relaxing base after a day’s exploring. It was really well equipped and we wanted for nothing.
-
"A very comfortable place to stay with parking in a central location."
Owners very helpful and we enjoyed the fresh bread, milk, eggs, butter and local jam they kindly left us.
-
"The stay was great."
The hosts are very nice & hospitable. They had fresh towels, local butter, local eggs, tea, bread and a very clean flat ready for us. We enjoyed our time here, and would love to visit again. The surrounding area is also great for hiking - and the hosts already prepared material for their recommendations regarding hiking routes & restaurants. We also visited Lake District which was a bit of drive away from this spot. Was great for exploring both Buxton peaks and the Lake District. Highly recommend.
-
"The apartment was exactly as described."
Belinda was so friendly and showed us around when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped and the rest of the property was comfortable and spacious. So close to the centre of Buxton was an advantage as was the off road parking. Would certainly book again.
-
"A very nice homely well equipped cottage we where both very comfortable thank you ."
Felt very lucky .
-
"Absolutely lovely little flat."
Hosts were great. We had milk already in the fridge so didn't need to go out to get some to make tea after our journey. Added to that, a loaf of lovely rustic bread, some really nice local butter, local jam and 6 eggs. We didn't need to go for breakfast as we had all that we needed. Place was very clean and spacious. Bedroom and bed are huge. The ONLY thing I could pick on was in another review too in that there's nowhere to hang a towel or clothes when you shower. This was a great stay. You're only 5 min walk to the centre. I would definitely come back here and also recommend to others.
-
"Our second stay here, just as good as before."
Clean, comfortable, well equipped and warm as it was November. My only niggle is a hook for your towels when getting out of the shower. Great central location can walk everywhere.
-
"Great place to stay, very central for all the amenities of Buxton."
Owners were extremely pleasant and helpful.
-
"Excellent place to stay, very comfortable, (we usually take our own pillows but forgot this time) the ones in the apartment were to hard for us, other than that no complaints whatsoever, decent places to eat and pubs within walking distance and lots of places to visit nearby, would recommend."
A note to Nigel and Belinda, apologies for not throwing the bread and milk out, completely forgot, sorry, Steve
-

"The basement apartment is surprisingly light and warm with the ability to park off road very welcome given the parking restrictions in Buxton."
the small garden with a comfortable bench is a pleasant place to have a cup of tea which the owners provided together with coffee, pot of jam, loaf of bread and muesli. artisan butter and fresh milk was also gifted. 32a is very close to the town, 5 mins walk, and is ideal for a peak district base. the facilities and décor are new or nearly new and are of a high standard.
-
"Very well appointed Friendly owners Met our expectations"

Very friendly owners as well!
-
"Excellent, modern accommodation in a location providing easy pedestrian access to Buxton’s town centre; its principal heritage attractions; and its restaurants & pubs."
The car parking space on-site is also a welcome feature. The only items that could further enhance the accommodation, albeit minor, would be a couple of clothes hooks in the bathrooms!
-
"Outstanding accommodation , spotlessly clean and generous welcome pack which was a nice touch by the owners."
Ideal base for Buxton centre and touring the Peak District
-
"The property was extremely clean and comfortable."
The owners were very helpful on arrival and the welcome pack was a lovely add bonus. It would have been nice if there was somewhere to hang coats other than on the back of chairs.
-

"32A is a little gem."
Its position is perfect and has off road parking which is important when the property is in or close to the town centre. The facilities in the apartment are everything you need and are modern and the bed was very comfortable and big. Eating places and supermarkets are within close walking distance. The owners are lovely people and were very helpful when we arrived. Thank you 32A for providing a lovely place for our first break.

This is a lovely well looked after property in the heart of Buxton with everything needed for a comfortable stay. "Super stay in a deceptively large apartment, in a great town location."
Providing essentials like bread, milk, butter and eggs were a lovely touch too. Hosts were very friendly and on hand if anything was needed, but left us in peace to explore the peaks. We'd happily stay again
-
"A brilliant find in Buxton!"
Close to the centre of town with restaurants and supermarkets all within easy walking distance. Comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in on holiday. Property owners were extremely helpful and kind.
-
"Very nice friendly welcome from owners who were extremely helpful in giving ideas of places to stay and eat."
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the flat."
The location was excellent and the hosts made every effort to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible, including leaving provisions such as bread and milk for our arrival, meaning we didn't have to rush straight out to a shop. There was lots of information about the local area provided, including walking directions and menus for local restaurants and takeaways. The owners also gave some personal recommendations for days out. The flat itself was spotless and had all the home comforts we needed. We would highly recommend this property and would be more than happy to stay here again in future.
-

"Really lovely flat underneath the owners house."
They were very welcoming and gave us lots of tips about the local area. Great location for exploring Buxton and the Peaks in general. Around 10mins walk from the town centre and the supermarkets. Flat itself was clean and felt very safe in the current situation. Hand gel and wipes were provided and instructions and precautions to take.

Plenty of places to go in the area, We particularly enjoyed Crompton Mill, Chatsworth and Eyam the Plaque Village, and if you like walking plenty of walks for all abilities. Further afield we visited Holmfirth ( Last of the summer wine Country) Most enjoyable, if we come this way again , we wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

"We booked a few days in this apartment in early December as we were attending a concert and celebrating a birthday."
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was well appointed and nicely furnished. There was a generous welcome pack - eggs, milk, butter, bread and jam. Also plenty of tea bags and coffee. We were there during quite a cold spell but the apartment was warm. We visited Chatsworth and Hardwick Hall which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was useful to be able to park in the drive and walk to the concert venue. We had a really relaxing break. The apartment was close to shops and cafes but also in a quiet street. We would not hesitate to recommend number 32A and hope to return some time.
-
"Brilliant location, very nice accommodation and we had a very enjoyable weekend break."
The lady owner was very helpful, by giving us information with regards to eating out and places to visit etc. We are already considering making a return to the property next year and recommend this place to everyone. Everything that we needed was provided and it was immaculate.
-
"32A is a wonderful place to stay."
It is so close to the main part of Buxton, but you don't know it until you walk there and it is such a pleasant short walk. In side 32A is warm, clean and spacious, I especially liked the walk-in wardrobe (I called it my dressing room). It's a great base for walking, with many good walks close by. And there are plenty of leaflets to help you decide what to do if you don't want to walk. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She came and introduced herself on our first evening and informed us some of the good places to eat. We had a great week at 32A and intended to go back again.
-
"Brilliant place to stay, lovely apartment and location."

"This is beautifully designed, well equipped accommodation and we found it to be very comfortable."
Loved the huge bed. It was conveniently situated in the “HighTown”, only a few minutes walk from shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and another five minutes walk down to the Crescent and Opera House etc. A welcome pack of goodies was a delightful surprise.
-
"We had a wonderful time here, it was perfect for exploring the Peak District!"
Everything in the property was done to an incredibly high standard and all the little extras you normally don't want to take away with you (or aren't always provided i.e cooking oil, dishwasher tablets) were. Thank you for a great holiday.
-
"The apartment was really spacious, and within easy walking distance of the centre of Buxton or driving to the Peak District."
the owner left the basics for us when we arrived which was really helpful and we will definitely return for another visit.
-
"32A is a lovely basement apartment in a quite side street."
The unit is bigger than expected and very well appointed with everything, and more, that we hoped for. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Only a 2 minutes walk from upper Buxton market square, and a 5 minutes walk to lower Buxton, with lots of places to eat and drink, suiting a wide range of tastes. Although a very wet week, we found lots to do in and around the area, and had a really relaxing time. We would recommend 32A to couples, looking for a get away with all the creature comforts. If we find our selves in Buxton again, we would certainly wish to make a return booking.
-
"Warm friendly hosts that make you feel at home and the appartment is just great situated in ideal position for all your needs."
A big thankyou to you both i had a really good time. Steve.
-
"A perfectly positioned property, only five minutes from the centre of Buxton."
Shops and pubs and eating places nearby. Parking on the owner's driveway was very welcome. We had a warm welcome from the owner and she provided a generous helping of basic foodstuffs for our use. The apartment was clean and comfortable and catered well for visitors, with local information and books and dvds for spare time.
-
"Excellent modern and clean apartment, that against expectations really didn't feel like you were in the basement - plenty of light."
Many local restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. Maps and walking guides available within the apartment, as well as some books and quite a few DVD's (should it be raining too hard). Welcome pack of bread, jam, milk etc. left by the owner. Comfortable bed, and a powerful spacious shower with lots of hot water.
-
"We enjoyed our stay."
Pleasant location close to amenities. Wi Fi connection appreciated. Owners very friendly and spent time making us feel welcome on our arrival. A collection of foods made available to help us settle in to our week stay. No issues with staying warm as we visited in a cooler part of the year Will definitely make application to use this site again. Definitely recommended. Car parking made available in owners driveway as street parking could have proved difficult. Facility all on one level a good feature.
-
"32A was in a perfect position just walking distance of beautiful Buxton and a great base to explore and walk the Peak District."
Really helpful hosts who shared useful information. Will definitely return.

About the location
BUXTON
Tideswell 7 miles; Bakewell 12 miles; Matlock 21 miles.
It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
