  • "We loved the property in the very quaint village of Aberfeldy."

Great home base for exploring the surroundings. We were met by the owner who took the time to explain the features of the home. The home is well equipped and well furnished. The house and property gave us a cosy home feeling. Would definitely recommend this home for anyone looking to escape from the city. Gerard, George snd the Rigby family

  • "My family and I recently stayed for a week at Edengrove and it was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for."

Spacious, clean and extremely well equipped. The location is ideal, very close to the centre but also very quiet. The layout suited us really well with two bedrooms and a shower room with walk in shower on the ground floor which were used by my elderly mum and my sister-in-law who had two dogs and the upstairs bedroom and shower room used by the rest of us. The large dining room was great for family meals and board games. The owner Jimmy popped in to check everything was okay when we arrived and was extremely helpful with a couple of issues we had (not to do with the accommodation) I would definitely use this accommodation if we return to Aberfeldy. Thanks for everything Jimmy.

It was the ideal base for exploring Aberfeldy and the wider area. Lots of amenities are just a short walk away. The back garden was a hit with us all especially for sitting out in the sun on an afternoon and was great for our water fight! Also lots of space to hang our wetsuits and towels etc after spending the day on Loch Tay. We look forward to returning in the future.

  • "Lovely holiday with our family."

Lots of space to get together. Initial problem of bulb out and towel rail off wall fixed immediately with an apology. I do think a little bit of maintenance tidying and house dressing would improve review rating. Toilet door at kitchen didn't shut or lock. Kitchen is good with machine and dryer however I thought it had too many large pots and kitchen bits that were unnecessary. Too much clutter. Beds and shower fantastic. Nice touch with the prosecco. Picture on web page shows different configuration to house. Looking at pictures you think it's a games room. But that picture is actually the bedroom. and not the dining room. The main thing that does need locking at is no door handle on door between kitchen and dining room. We closed this to keep dog in and locked our self in front of house as keys were in back door. We eventually got it opened but that is a fire and safety risk. Good job they was not anything on stove.

Overall we were very happy with the property, it was clean and well appointed with everything you need. Generally well maintained although there were a couple of doors missing handles and the towel rail in the upstairs bathroom fell off a couple times. Easy fixes which may not have been reported to the owner previously. I would recommend it to family and friends.

  • "There was ten in our group ages ranging from 8years old to 68years old it being a family Christmas celebration, and we all had a fantastic time ,the house it self has plenty of room for everyone to enjoy time together or a wee quiet corner to yourself ."

Plenty nice walks near by .although the weather could have been a bit better ,however it is winter and that was what we expected ,The only down point that I would like to say is I did struggle cooking Christmas dinner ,the hob works perfectly ok however the oven is very small could only cook one item at a time which did cause a bit of stress at the time, Although everyone did enjoy it in the end .Thank you Jimmy for your support good to know your near by if we did need anything

Hi Robin, Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you had a fantastic time - and obviously managed to explore Aberfeldy and it's local environs. I'm sorry you found the oven a little small; whilst it IS a standard 60cm across, it is a wee bit smaller height-wise due to the 2nd oven/grill above the main oven. I hope the Xmas meal was a success nonetheless. Do let us know if you'd like to return at any point in the future; we'd be delighted to have you all back. Many thanks. Property Owner

The house is spacious and relaxing. Everything you need is in the house though we could have had some cloths and dish towels. Very central to the town centre. We will return in the future

Hi Christine, Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback - and lovely to have you back again. It is a real treat to have returning guests and I'm glad that you continue to get so much out of Edengrove and Aberfeldy. I'm very sorry that you seemed to be missing the kitchen cloths and dishtowels - they are a standard feature (as you may remember from your last visit), so I think that the change-over team must have forgotten...so my sincere apologies for that. If ever there are any issues on your future visits, you know where I live - do let me know and I'll do all I can to put them right, straight away! Hope to see you again later in 2024. Many thanks. • "The overall service has been fantastic."

Quick replies to emails and phone calls. With regards to the house itself; it was a fantastic property and an excellent location. Bedrooms were all ideal and a great configuration. The house was also extremely accessible as a few of our party were elderly, so having bedrooms downstairs (and the bathroom) was ideal. There was plenty room for the 8 of us (from seating to the various social spaces downstairs). The house was well kitted out and complementary whisky and prosecco was a nice touch. My only two minor comments of areas for improvement were; the oven takes a long time to heat and never quite reaches the selected temperature. The downstairs doors could do with a paint refresh.

About the location

ABERFELDY

Pitlochry 14 miles; Perth 31 miles.

The market town of Aberfeldy stands on the River Tay amidst beautiful scenery in rural Perthshire. Famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy, and also the bridge built for General Wade in 1733, Aberfeldy is just south of Glen Lyon, known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. There is much to attract the visitor in addition to the spectacular scenery. There is a 10 mile riverside walk for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as numerous paths through forest and countryside. In addition, Aberfeldy is on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7. Whitewater rafting on the River Tay is an exhilarating way to enjoy the scenery. Castle Menzies is a wonderful 16th century castle, now fully restored and open to visitors. Take a distillery tour at Dewar’s World of Whisky on the edge of town. Sample the many bars, restaurants and cafes in the town and explore the galleries and craft shops, including the Scottish Chocolate Centre. The Scottish Crannog Centre offers a glimpse into Iron Age life and Loch Tay offers a multitude of watersports, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are on your doorstep. An hours drive brings you to 30 Munros, just waiting to be 'bagged'!
