"Our stay at Braes of Foss Farmhouse was a dream."
The house was well equipped with items and toys for the kiddos, and they loved seeing the sheep in the fields.
The surroundings and views were absolutely stunning, we went on multiple walks from the house. We spent time doing puzzles by the log fires, and enjoyed watching the sunrises and sunsets.
Utterly idyllic. Will be returning!
Thank you so much for your review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope you will visit us again in the future

"Hi there,
Thank you Ali and Jez for making our stay so comfortable."
The house was clean and comfortable, the location is fab and convenient and we loved our time there. Jez came by to show us their herd of pedigree Highland cows, and it was a highlight for the children (and children at heart).
Highly recommend

"We very much enjoyed our stay here."
The house is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The setting is stunning and it is a haven for peace and tranquility. The garden is a sun trap and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views. There are beautiful walks both in the immediate environment and further afield. The area is excellent for wildlife spotting and you can spot deer all over the countryside and very close to the property. There are also a number of family attractions nearby such as castles, water sports and Highland safaris.

"Fabulous tranquil setting away from all."
Cottage is comfortable and warm if staying in colder months. Spacious rooms with a well fitted out kitchen and good, separate dining space.. Perfect location for walking and exploring , plus some excellent places to eat within reasonable driving distance. Owners are helpful and easy to contact if need. We will definitely stay again if visiting Scotland, easy drive from either Inverness or Edinburgh airports.

"A beautiful and spacious farmhouse in an amazing setting."
The accommodation was well equipped and easy to keep warm. Lovely for walks, long and short, and accessing many local attractions. Surrounded by wildlife, we saw the deer a great deal, and a wide variety of birds, including a pair of crossbills by the local woodland.

"We found the cottage well equipped, and well prepared for our arrival."
It was very warm and comfortable. The limiting factors on not giving an all round 10 out of ten were the problems that arise when such an isolated cottage has roads closed and access limited. Anyone coming here needs to take that into account because in our case it always added 2 hours to any journey which with the costs of petrol at the moment makes a significant difference, The owners were helpful and welcoming providing good instructions etc. However the lack of the internet can be an issue especially when paying a significant amount for a property already when other properties costing less always have internet access. On a plus though a week free of internet can be a blessing, depends how you see it.
'Thank you for your feedback. The Schiehallion road was temporarily and unavoidably closed, at short notice, by Perth and Kinross Council.  This closure was for emergency bridge repairs so access to the farmhouse was via Kinloch Rannoch. The family have owned the farmhouse since the 1950s and have never known the road to have been closed in the past, other than by snow in winter, so this is an unusual occurance.  With regard to  the internet, the wifi is provided via satellite and is therefore limited to browsing and emails only; this is made very clear in the listing on the Sykes website and also the pre-arrival information sent out to each Guest, this is not a property for those who require high bandwidth!. The farmhouse is special because of its location and comfort; it offers isolation, great views and a genuine wilderness location without being completely cut off from the outside world. It is the farmhouse location that drives both its appeal and its price

"We had such an amazing stay - Braes of Foss Farmhouse is massive - everyone had a big room, and with a dining room and lounge was a space for everything and everyone."
The surroundings are glorious, beautiful views and pin drop quiet - we managed to eat outside a few mornings and evenings in the sunshine and you really did feel like it was your own slice or paradise.
The kitchen was well stocked and nice to cook in - with a big fridge and freezer
We will certainly be coming back again next year

"The house was lovely and in a great location."
It was warm and cosy with 2 log burners and the bathroom facilities were great. We had a lovely time exploring the local area and doing lots of hiking. The website did say that limited Wi-fi was available but we could get neither Wi-fi nor a phone signal. This could be important to guests. We would definitely return.
Many thanks for your feedback & I am so glad you had a good stay. Sorry to hear about the internet issues you had, perhaps you could have contacted me during your stay on the number provided & I could have resolved this for you, we checked the internet after you had left & it all worked fine. kind regards. "The accomodation was exactly as seen on the wed site."
We had phoned and told the owner we were coming with a yr old baby. They provided a high chair, cot, Pella Pig DVD, and some toys which were All absolutely perfect!! The house was clean and spacious and most comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked for meals at home and the log burners made for some very cosy nights. The fact that the house is literally ‘in the middle of nowhere’ is part of what makes it. Our daughter loved waking every morning and crawling to the windows to say good morning to sheep outside. All in all we had an absolutely lovely time here and will hopefully be able to visit again someday
