  • "A super modern apartment ideally placed for climbing Perthshire's mountains."

Having the wood burning stove was handy as we had -7c temperatures. A few constructive suggestions Some sort of mat or rug in front of the stove to protect the carpet. ?Curtains for main lounge window in winter (insulation) The extractor fan in the ensuite lets in cold air, so it is cool and we used the main bathroom.

Hi Douglas, many thx for your feedback. Much appreciated. It will surely help us improve our customers experience. Looking forward to welcoming you back to Kalipe’. Property Owner

  • "You have a lovely property which felt so clean and new."

We liked the attention to detail and choice of appliances. Great to see use of air-source heat pumps for heating. Shame we didn’t stay longer.

  • "Almost perfect accommodation."

Very comfortable and beautifully equipped. No heat from the towel radiator meant the towels never really dried properly. Not a big problem if the weather was better.

Dear John, thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear the weather was not that good during your stay at Kalipe'. Our guests can adjust temperature as desired for all heaters in the house, including the towel ones, through the heating control system as per home manual. We hope you enjoyed Kenmore/Aberfeldy area and look forward to welcoming you back soon in our cottage. Property Owner

  • "What a beautiful house, spotlessly clean and gorgeous furnishings."

Stunning views over the loch. Only thing we couldn't find was an iron/ironing board.Wouldn't stop us from highly recommending or returning.

  • "This is a beautiful property, with furniture and fittings of exceptional quality."

It has two beautiful bedrooms, one being ensuite, and both bathrooms are, again, designed to a very high standard. Just a short walk away is a private area for the complex on the shores of Loch Tay. It is set in one of Scotland's lovliest locations, with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. We did have a couple of minor issues. There is no iron/ironing board; there were only three knives and four forks; the only large knife is a bread knife and there is nowhere to dry clothes indoors, although there is a substantial rotary drier outside. These were minor hiccups, and did not spoil our experience. We would not hesitate to book Kalipé again and would recommend it to friends.

Hi Lynda, thanks for your comments. Great to know you liked our cottage and enjoyed your stay at Kalipe'. Apologies the cutlery was partially located in the kitchen drawer and, partly on the silver tray wrapped in ready-to-use tea towels. I am happy to say that iron and ironing board will be soon available to our guests. Thanks again in supporting us to improve the quality of our service. We look forward to welcoming you back soon at Kalipe'. Property Owner

About the location

KENMORE

Aberfeldy 6 miles, Pitlochry 20 miles, Dunkeld 24 miles.

The village of Kenmore sits at the eastern end of Loch Tay where the River Tay flows out of the loch and dates from the 16th century. Originally built on the north side of the river, the village was moved in mid-sixteenth century to accommodate a castle being built on the north shore. The relocation gave the village its current name reflecting its position on a large headland: Kenmore – ‘large head’ in Gaelic. It is Loch Tay that makes Kenmore such a popular tourist draw today with the many watersports, fishing, hillwalking and cycling activities on and around the loch. Why not visit the Scottish Crannog Centre and discover an ancient way of life in a reconstructed thatched house on stilts? Built on the loch and able to repel danger with the aid of a retractable gangway, these houses provide a fascinating insight into ancient civilisations. The village has shops, a couple of hotels and a restaurant and with the attractive towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and Dunkeld nearby, the tourist is very well provided for. The area is famous for its truly spectacular scenery and whether you are on the water, in the hills or in the shops, Kenmore can provide a stunning backdrop to a very pleasant break.
