"A large table in the living room would be handy for playing games upstairs where there is a lovely view as well."
More wine glasses wouldn’t go amiss.
Hi there thanks for your feedback, there isn't sufficient room in the living room for a large table but there is a large table in the dining room that is great for card games etc, there are 7 wine glasses in the cupboards for guests and we are in the tearoom downstairs from 06.00 to 15.45 if anything else is required only need to ask.. "Good facilities and excellent location."
We appreciated the welcome gift of home baked goods, and biscuits. Our only negative observation was that there was a lingering dog smell.
Thank you for your feedback I can't understand what your talking about a dog smell? there hasn't yet been a,dog in the property and we don't have a dog!!! our carpets are regularly cleaned and freshened as they do tend to get dirty with people's footwear, Also don't understand why if this was an issue with yourselves we are in the Tearoom downstairs 10 hrs a day I would have been able to tell you face to face and not have to reply like this if there was a dog smell I would know about it believe me,No other guests have said regarding this, We do accept dogs as it says in our bookings,so people have choice to book or not,but so far haven't had any Property Owner

"We had a lovely stay, Phil and Cathy were friendly, approachable and to hand if we needed anything."
Great house in a great location, beautiful views. Only a couple of bits of feedback, a little bit of dish washing liquid and a couple of spare bin bags would have helped. Also adding a page on the recycling instruction to the house book would be useful i.e. what goes in what coloured wheelie bins. It differs so much from county to county.
Thank you for your kind words,it was great to see you and glad you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

About the location
FALKLAND
Perth 18 miles; St. Andrews 19 miles; Dundee 21 miles.
Falkland is a town and former royal burgh in Fife. The town sits at the foot of the Lomond Hills in beautiful rolling farmland. It is believed that Falkland was inhabited prior to the 12th century, however the village became more prominent following the building of Falkland Castle after 1160. The castle now sits within the grounds of Falkland Palace, the former royal palace of King James IV of Scotland in 1501, and now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. Within the palace is the original real tennis court, built in 1539, which is the world’s oldest tennis court still in use. Nearby is the Lomond Hills Regional Park, offering walking with rewarding views, while the Fife coast, with its collection of attractive fishing villages such as Anstruther and Crail, is a must-see. St. Andrews is only a short drive away and with the rugged scenery of the Angus Glens and the cities of Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee all within easy reach, this great location has plenty to offer.
