  • "I'd like to express my family's heartfelt compliments following our recent stay at Red Kite Lodge."

My husband, daughter, and I were graced with a delightful week; the lodge itself truly enhanced our trip. Upon arrival, we noted that the lodge was commendably clean and well-maintained, an indicator of the care and diligence that your team exercises. The heating was excellent, furnishing us with cosy evenings in, while the hot tub provided a luxurious and welcomed bonus. Further praise is due to the owner, who exhibited an excellent level of approachability and responsiveness to our queries. It is outstanding to encounter such dedication and swift communication in the hospitality industry. In light of our overall experience, we feel impelled to recommend your establishment enthusiastically to others. Your commitment to quality service is duly appreciated, and we trust others will recognise this too. Thank you once again for providing us with a memorable stay.

Dear Liezel, thank you so much for your very positive feedback. We wish we could give feedback on guests - you would be 100%! We will be delighted to see you back. Very best regards Debra and Alan Property Owner

The accommodation was everything it was stated and extremely comfortable. Alan provided all information and we only had to contact him regarding the whereabouts the fireplace remote control. We were very fortunate with the weather and every night was star watching in the hot tub. lovely walks all around and a meal to die for in the Achray House. Not really sure whats going on with the Four Seasons!!!!.... Absolute pleasure to stay here...

Thank you for the great review Peter. It’s such a fabulous dark sky site isn’t it? You were great guests and left the lodge so very clean and tidy. You’re welcome back anytime Property Owner

  • "We stayed here for a long weekend at the end of August."

Thankfully had some lovely weather only raining badly on the morning we left. Alan was excellent at looking after us before we arrived and during the stay, always ready to answer with advice and info. Of all the lodges on the site, this one has the best view, it is perfectly situated. It has everything you need and is well presented with the hot tub a bonus. We all really enjoyed our stay including our springer spaniel Max who loved sitting out on the decking soaking up the view, as well as the plentiful walks in the area. Would recommend this 100% to anyone looking for a lovely relaxing holiday.

Very modern interior and comfortable for a family of four. Kitchen was well supplied with all the amenities, making all the more convenient. Jacuzzi was a fab in the evenings with a stunning view across the valley. Great location for short hikes or a trips day trips in car to nearby beauty spots and villages such as Killin. Will hopefully return next year:)

  • "Red Kite Lodge is obviously not a lodge in most people’s sense."

What it is, is a really well specced static/mobile home. Comfortable beds, excellent living area, well stocked kitchen (we didn’t use the washing machine, but good to know it was there), excellent hot tub and to top it all an amazing view. St Fillans is really well placed to access numerous local towns where there’s activities for everyone. We did paddle boarding on the loch, walked two different well developed cycle/walking tracks that have been developed from disused rail lines. Being dog friendly was icing on the cake. We stayed for a week and had a really relaxing time. Would highly recommend.

Thanks for the great feedback Andrew. The view is rather spectacular isn’t it? You’re welcome back anytime Property Owner

The hot tub was excellent and positioned so the views could be enjoyed whilst in it. There was a minor issue with the hot water on our final day but it did not ruin what was a fantastic break. The only negative was the spotty phone signal, but the WiFi was excellent. I would recommend the Red Kite lodge if you want a peaceful, relaxed getaway in comfort.

Thank you for your great review Frank. I had to get binoculars as the wildlife and night sky views are amazing. The mobile phone signal is a problem but you can easily use WhatsApp and Facebook to make audio/FaceTime calls through the Wi-Fi at the lodge. Apparently the only decent network for the village so far is EE. Thank you for leaving the lodge so clean and tidy. Haste ye back Property Owner

Short walk from the village shop which has great coffee and soup, and a play park nearby. Saw red squirrels, deer and a hare. Hi Stuart, thanks for your comments on the lodge. We noted the fact that the lodge park is a work in progress, in our description and that once you’re in the lodge you can’t see any of the other lodges being built. • "The area Crieff and the actual cabin were very nice, well equipped and the owner was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us."

However we were disappointed to find the plot was still a building site with only our cabin occupied. Although this may have worked in our favour as the cabin next to us was very close (especially if you wanted to relax in the hot tub without being over looked). Unfortunately we could only use the hot tub once, as it was slightly off colour with a funny smell. We did follow the instructions on two occasions to add the chemicals but it didn’t seem to clear up. The oven and dishwasher tripped whilst we were there and again no fault of the owner as we believe it may have been linked to the ongoing work on site. The owner couldn’t have done more to help and was in contact with the site manager throughout to get the problem sorted. I feel the property has good potential but we were a little disappointed with the ongoing work and the hot tub.

Dear Kelly, We do appreciate your feedback and we were aware of the issues related to the electrical supply. We are sorry you experienced problems with the hot tub. Had we known we would have taken immediate measures to resolve this in person. As you note, the site is still under development ; we are sorry this detracted from your enjoyment but we do hope you will visit again once the site has been fully completed. Also we has two small dogs and one of them jumped of the side of the decking at the hot tub as nothing to stop them they needed chained up all the time. Lodge great. Views great. Site was building site

Hi Thomas thanks for your feedback. We’re happy that you found the lodge faultless and we do agree that the views are rather special. We’re sorry about the ongoing site development; this phase of the park was meant to be finished by now. The ‘building’ work relates to decking and servicing for recently delivered lodges and there should be no work ongoing in the evening. The site owners know of our frustration and would be happy for anyone to speak to them about any issues. We are supplying them with feedback. We have tried to ensure our Sykes description is accurate though we are in fact advertising our lodge rather than the park. We appreciate that you want be able to relax on the decking with the dogs beside you. The gap at the decking allows direct access to the hot tub which most guests find desirable. However we will look for some solutions. Property Owner
