The welcome basket was a lovely surprise. It has everything you need for a relaxing break. We stayed for 3 nights with our dog and there were some great walks with amazing views! I would definitely recommend and would love to come back! Very relaxing and chilled!

  • "Lovely property with a stunning view."

Not quite as close to the loch as I’d thought. Facilities are great and everything you need (although we couldn’t find a pizza cutter) but that’s a minor thing. The what3words in the booking reference isn’t correct, it takes you to Manse Lane so needs to be corrected. Location for Comrie and Crieff is great and further afield if you want, or equally ideal for simply relaxing looking at the view.

  • "Myself my husband and our dog Milo had a fantastic time at this luxury caravan."

It was very clean, comfortable and had everything you need to enjoy the holiday, even a dishwasher which saved us a job. We enjoyed playing scrabble as well. It was beautifully decorated. The owner is lovely. We couldn't believe how stunning the view was from the decking and the view of the Loch just a short walk away. St Fillans is such a lovely town to stay in. We will definitely be booking again.

  • "Dog/child gate at end of decking would be very useful for safety reasons."

Mop essential to dry wet floor when coming in from rain. No cleaning equipment available to clean with while you’re there or before you leave. A spare bin bag would be good too. Cupboards and shelves in kitchen so full of ‘stuff’ that there is no room left for your own groceries etc. Otherwise, very comfortable and an enjoyable holiday experience in a beautiful spot of Scotland.

Thanks Lynne for your feedback. I'm sorry that you didn't find the cleaning equipment that is stored under the sink (with spare bin bags normally!). The mop was removed on purpose as when put away damp into a cupboard, it unfortunately starts to smell. I personally scrub the floor with a wet cloth. I have cleared a cupboard for food, thank you, that was an oversight! However, the "stuff" to which you refer, I would prefer to be thought of as a comprehensively and tastefully stocked kitchen, a home from home for those people who enjoy cooking and dining well whilst on holiday. The gate is all made up and painted, ready for next season...I'm just waiting for the joiner to find time to fit it now! I'm very glad that you enjoyed St Fillans and hope to welcome you back sometime. Property Owner

  • "We loved Rowan Lodge."

The views are stunning and the lodge is beautiful. It had everything we needed and was very cosy. Heating works very quickly and we only needed it on for an hour or 2 each day. Most of our week was bright and sunny but pretty cold. Lots of lovely walks from the door. We saw lots of deer on our morning walk every day. Storm Babet was arriving on the day we were leaving so we left a day early to make sure we got home safely. Iona was on call if we needed anything. Would highly recommend this stunning part of Scotland. Loved the welcome pack. Thank you so much!

  • "Overall, a lovely Chalet."

Lovely views of the hills oppopsite. Its a pity that the location was/is still being excavated etc. Noisy at times. Took the owner a while to get the TV working for us but was fine after that. Everthing you could imagine you would need was available within the Chalet including offroad parking. If anything, too many cushions.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry if the expansion work was intrusive. I'm hopeful that by early next year it was all be finished. Oh dear for the cushions! My husband might agree with you... personally I feel it's just right, but it's all a matter of taste. If you ever come back and stay at Rowan I'll happily dispense with a few of them in time for your visit. I'm glad that you otherwise enjoyed your holiday. Kindest regards Property Owner

  • "Lodge stunning, attention to detail amazing, wonderful views."

Lovely welcum pack for us and our little dog. A little stool at dressing table would be helpful to sit and dry hair n things, a small detail for comfort thou not a problem. Iona is so helpful and promptly dealt with our noise complaint of building works and a small plumbing issue. She cannot be faulted as a careing owner and followed up by checking we were happy and comfortable. Location was described as idylic and relaxing, on Sykes Cottages website. So we choose here to unwind and were surprised to find building work going on to finish the site. we feel sykes cottages should have made us aware of the fact and let it be up to us if we choose to go during this time. We would gladly go back when work has finished as it will be the perfect retreat then to relax and unwind.

Thank you Carol for your feedback and understanding. I've taken on board the suggestion about the stool, and one can now sit down to dry one's hair! Kindest regards Property Owner

  • "We had a fab stay."

The only little thing but not important would be comfy outdoor seating so you can relax and enjoy the amazing views.

Thank you Lisa for your feedback, I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay! It's a good point about the outdoor comfy chairs, thank you, and one that I'm looking into. The difficulty we face is storage, so cushioned recliners are out... as is anything lightweight that might blow away. Watch this space.. Iona Property Owner
