"We had a very nice few days at Rowan Cottage."
It’s quite remote and when we arrived our sat nav had taken us in a very isolated route across the valley through field gates on a one lane track, so we had no bearings as to where we were. We didn’t fancy the thought of going out again to find a shop that sold milk for a cup of tea so, we’d highly recommend that a welcome pack is provided which includes milk. Otherwise please remember to bring your own! The cottage also runs on an Aga and this is the only oven and grill for cooking, other than an air fryer (which is excellent). We found toasting bread hard work and had to remember to put the kettle on to boil on the Aga the old fashioned way. Coffee drinkers have an excellent coffee machine but the water isn’t hot enough for tea. As a get away from it all and slow the pace down location Rowan Cottage is brilliant and for that we’d highly recommend it.

"This is a really lovely cottage."
Clean, bright, well equipped and so welcoming. We visited during a cold week in February yet inside Rowan Cottage we were warm and cosy. The log burner was easy to light and threw out masses of heat and the Aga made it a pleasure to come into the kitchen both first thing and later on when we returned from our days’ walking. We had great fun cooking on it. The area is full of footpaths and little lanes to explore on foot. We also enjoyed longer hikes over the Long Mynd (which is right behind the cottage) and Stiperstones. Leo and Romana who live next door were friendly but unobtrusive. We were sorry to leave after all that gorgeous peace and quiet. Thank you for our holiday.
