"Lovely cottage with well thought-out equipment and games."
Hosts were very pleasant, whilst giving us space to enjoy. Lovely grounds, which the kids loved exploring. A little bit hard to find in the dark, so read the instructions well!
-
"Beautiful cottage - perfect for enjoying family time."
Very well equipped, large kitchen for meals together. Lovely log burner all set and ready to light and delicious chocolate tiffan cake and milk in the fridge. Really enjoyed our stay - will definitely be back.
-
"Lovely house, very comfortable and everything works."
Check in and check out very easy.

"Could not praise this property or the owners highly enough."
The only downside is if property becomes too popular it might make it difficult for us to make a return visit.

"The Coach House was as lovely as the pictures."
Very peaceful with only bird song for company which made for a truly relaxing break. The accommodation was very comfortable and we had everything we could need. Location ideal for getting out and about and we found lots of places to visit and things to do within 45 mins in every direction. Would be happy to book The Coach House again as still places we would love to visit.

"This is a very well furnished and well appointed holiday 'cottage' with a charming garden at the front in a quiet and lovely location."
The 'welcome pack' of homemade chocolate brownies and some milk, plus tea, coffee, etc was very welcome and a lovely touch... delicious too :) We had a lovely peaceful time there and Helen was friendly and helpful. I have rarely, if ever, stayed in such a well equipped cottage. Everything was thought about and provided... and it was not cheap tat either. Even the piano was good quality. We loved it! Thank you Helen and Peter!

"Charming cottage that was very well furnished and equipped without detracting from its character."
It's set in beautiful grounds in a quiet location and is ideally placed for the sights and attractions of the area. Shrewsbury is a very attractive town worth exploring as are the historic sites in and around the Ironbridge Gorge. We would also recommend the World Heritage Site of the Llangollen Canal, Clun Castle, the Severn Valley Railway and the Welsh border country around Welshpool, all within easy reach. One final point - we couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome than we had from the cottage's owners.

"We had a great time at the Coach House, it was very clean throughout and spacious enough for three adults and two children."
The tiffin that Helen kindly made for us was a great success. Thank you Helen and Peter for making us feel welcome during our stay, we had everything we needed.

"The Coach House was like a home to home."
It was the perfect place for a family get together, with everything we needed. Peter and Helen were great owners, being available yet unobtrusive. The grounds were a delight and my 89 year old mum particularly enjoyed the walk to the lake. We look forward to returning.
-
"Thoroughly enjoyed a brief break here in a beautiful building in a tranquil setting."
Owners very helpful and, when needed, understanding. Would happily rebook and explore more.
-
"Overall very good."
A couple of points to improve would be: Towels very crispy, could do with some newer ones. Temperature control on the shower not working leading to the shower unit coming away from the wall. Only one key. Inconvenient with 2 couples staying

We certainly hope to return .A*

"Certainly a quiet and peaceful location with owners at hand but never intrusive."
Slight problem with heating but as soon as the owners were alerted it was immediately sorted. Very cosy and well equipped cottage. Great place to explore the surrounding area of Shropshire. Beautiful views from the top Lyth Hill as short walk from the cottage. Spent a few hours fishing in the pond and caught some superbly fit fish. (Tench and golden ore). We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coach House.

"My husband, myself and our two children had a wonderful holiday at the cottage."
The cottage itself was like a home from home and spotlessly clean. We all enjoyed playing tennis and wandering around the field, garden, pond and woodland. The owners were really welcoming and the welcome cakes in the fridge were delicious. They kindly showed us around and the kids had a wonderful time picking and eating fruit from the garden, as well as getting to collect the eggs. My daughter fell in love with the tortoise and they were kind enough to let the children go back to play with him a second time. The pubs they recommended nearby were great and we hope to come back to Shropshire again. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!

"Lovely hosts in a lovely location."
The tennis court was a huge hit with our family and the lake kept my fisherman husband very happy indeed! Lovely week away to recharge the batteries!

Hidden gem!

"What a wonderful week we had at The Coach House."
The house exceeded expectations and there was a warm welcome from the owners (along with some delicious cake) The grounds are amazing and we had a happy half day walking around the lake and in the woods. There’s a great little shop a short walk away in the next village and of course Shrewsbury is very close with a park and ride service, which was perfect. Many thanks to Helen and Peter for letting us stay at their lovely property.

"Wonderful place with amazing facilities."
Thank you so much. We hope to come back.

"Refreshing to find the accommodation and setting was just as described."
Just what we needed to get away from all the covid chaos at home. Lovely hosts who go above and beyond for their guests. We will definitely return for a longer stay next year.

"The directions given were not at all helpful, especially the instruction to turn right at the summit of a hill signed Longden and Exton Green, it didn't exist, don't know if sat nav would have helped but I don't have one and we spent a long time finding the property despite phone instruction from the owner."
We found kitchen cleanliness wasn't up to standard as kitchen drawers weren't totally clean and some glasses had marks on them so we had to wash the items that we were to use so that we felt comfortable, this also applied to pans. The other thing that we found annoying was the creaking floorboards on the landing and in the bathroom, especially at night if someone needed the bathroom then. The location was lovely however and the owners grounds that we had access to were a nice bonus. This could be a very nice holiday cottage if a bit more attention to detail was given.
Thank you for your feedback. The owner of the property has since spoken with the local Highway agency, who will be replacing the missing sign. As you can see from the website, previous feedback regarding cleanliness has always been very good, if you had made the owners aware of any issues they would have endeavoured to rectify these immediately for you. "The Coach House is very well appointed and equipped, and is in a lovely quiet, rural location."
We were made very welcome and the house was warm, cosy and very comfortable. A most enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend this excellent house to others.

Thank you for helping us creating memories that will last with us for the years to come

"A spacious barn conversion in an idyllic setting."
There were two comfortable king sized double beds, plus a single and a large square travel cot that doubled up as a play pen for the baby. I have mobility issues since a knee sprain, and found the cottage reasonable to negotiate. The downstairs consisted of a large kitchen, a toilet, and a very pleasant living room with a good space in the middle for the baby to crawl. The upstairs consisted of two enormous bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. It was all spotlessly clean. The most amazing thing about this property is the grounds. There is a large lake with ducks on, lovely wooded areas, and a field with sheep. Being agoraphobic and having some difficulty walking, this provided the perfect opportunity for me to get out into nature. It was a wonderful surprise, and I was able to take some lovely photos of my daughter and her baby.

Lovely cottage and hosts .

"Lovely area cottage had a really homely feel and the owners were friendly but unobtrusive"
-
"A beautiful, spacious cottage but with a homely feel and very comfortable."
Convenient for visiting all areas around Shrewsbury. Lovely grounds which we were unable to use to full advantage as the weather was limiting. Loved it.

"Fantastic cottage in a fantastic location."
Don't usually go back to the same place twice but would make an exception here! Very friendly and welcoming owner, use of the 22 acres which my son loved exploring!
