"We were very happy with the Granary property overall, It was very clean and well equipped, Everything was as advertised."
It was in a lovely location and easy to get to interesting places to visit. Our only issue was the size of the bed, It was a double bed as stated but seemed really small to us as we normally sleep in a super king size bed, The bed was comfortable but people who usually sleep in a bigger bed like us also may have the same difficulty as us, The owner of the property who lives adjacent was very friendly and helpful

"Great location for exploring the county."
Friendly and engaging host. Plenty of space, especially the roomy living room. Enjoyed staying at a working farm and meeting the four legged residents added to our enjoyment.
-
"This cottage suited our needs perfectly for 2 adults +dog Very welcoming host."
Lovely setting in unspoiled location, many good walks from property including walking to nearby beauty spot Croft Castle. We would love to return sometime.
-
"Very welcoming owner, great location, middle of a working farm & couldn't recommend it more."
We were lucky enough to be there at Easter during lambing season were surrounded by lambs and their nursing ewes. The farm is very dog friendly with plenty of hills around to walk up. We'll definitely be making an effort to return there.
-
"A lovely spacious well equipped cottage."
Everyone was very welcoming, pleasant and helpful, including Lottie who soon made friends with my puppy. A great holiday, thank you.
-
"A great Cottage with everything we needed."
Its in a great location that is handy to visit local castles and towns. We also did a few walks from the cottage, the best being the walk to Stokesay castle from the cottage.
-

-
"Really enjoyed our stay at The Granary, The kitchen was very well equipped and everything worked."
Same goes for the bathroom. A very peaceful location with plenty of land/paths to walk the dogs that we had with us. Had a minor problem with the TV upon arrival, But after calling the owner Frank, it was very quickly put right. No problems after that, but Frank was only a phone call away if we needed anything. A lovely well maintained cottage, would highly recommend it.
-
"We stayed in the Granary a number of times some years ago, but stopped because of my increasing mobility difficulty."
Now that there's a walk-in shower and two handrails to reach the front door, I can manage very well. We had a lovely time, and the views of hills and birds through every window are uplifting. We'll certainly go back.
-
"We had a lovely time at the Granary."
It was just what we needed. The owner Frank was very welcoming and helped us enjoy our stay at the farm. Keith and Angela

"Very spacious and comfortable property with well equipped kitchen."
Lovely views all round. Need to be mobile enough to negotiate the 6 steps up to the door. The owner was very helpful and considerate and the dogs were friendly too! Definitely recommend.
-
"Excellent accommodation, we love it on Frank’s Farm and he is a great host."
Stunning countryside, great walks and The Granary has everything you need.
-
"A little spartan."
Though good quality furniture. Very hard mattress. Need a table and chairs outside. But overall great place to stay. So peaceful and quiet. Beautiful scenery. Added bonus of so much wildlife especially birds which was fantastic to see and hear. Lottie is a surprise and delight. As were the horses and wandering sheep. Its a little piece of heaven. The surrounding area, towns and villages are stunning. Highly recommend Clun, Ironbridge, Ludlow, leintwardine and little Stretton. Some fantastic cafes and bars in all of these places. They all work so hard on the farm. Frank and his family were lovely and so helpful. Would definitely stay again.
-
"Extremely interesting area and a very comfortable cottage where we were made very welcome by Frank and his family."
-
"Our stay at the Granary really worked its magic and we have come back feeling refreshed."
The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and good to come back to after a good walk and visits to the many things to do in South Shropshire. We enjoyed staying on a working farm and chatting to the friendly owners who gave us very helpful information about the local area. The Granary is set in a peaceful and beautiful location, yet many interesting places like Ludlow and Stokesay Castle are very near. We usually prefer to explore new pastures when we go on holiday but we would definitely consider returning as we had such a good time and there is still so much we didn’t have time to fit in!
-
"All good. Only problem was steps for an elderly dog."
-

-
"The cottage was just as described and more."
The family were very welcoming and made many suggestions for where to go and what to see. The cottage was lovely and well equipped and the setting was beautiful with great views and very peaceful. Our dogs loved their little garden, which was totally secure, and enjoyed meeting the farm dogs. We had a really lovely week. Thank you Frank and family.

"The Granary was very comfortable and spacious."
It made for a very relaxing holiday. It really is away from towns and traffic and was very quiet although getting to Ludlow and Craven Arms only took a few minutes drive. Our host, Frank, was very welcoming and had provided tea, coffee, biscuits and milk upon arrival. We would definitely recommend The Granary if you want somewhere relaxing to stay.

Hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring the many public footpaths and walking routes with our two dogs. Enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the future.

"Very welcoming hosts."
We felt like it was a home away from home and will definitely be going back. Our dog was made as welcome as we were and was quite reluctant to leave.
-
"Yes. Frank and his family are always friendly and welcoming and go out of there way to be helpful if needed."
The area of Shropshire where they live is really beautiful. It is a working farm so if it rains take wellies. We will be booking again for next year as we always have a peaceful relaxing holiday.

"Very warm welcome by the owner and his family."
The Granary is spacious and well equipped. Lovely to stay on a farm and enjoy evening rural walks. Our 9-year old partuculatlt enjoyed meeting the dogs, cats, horses, cows and sheep. Good location for exploring the marshes and can recommend the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre at Craven Arms, Clun, Ludlow, Croft Castle and Powis Castle. All in all an excellent week and would be happy to return at some point in the future.
-
"The owner lives next door and is exceptionally helpful in wanting to ensure you have everything you need."
On arrival we were greeted with a bunch of flowers, really tasty biscuits and the essential bottle of milk which was a lovely gesture, The Granary is really lovely accommodation and there are lots of things to do in the area. We will be returning in the future.
-

We were made most welcome, and had a lovely time, we arrived at lambing season, etc, so great to see the young ones in the fields, very peaceful

"This was a truly magical place to stay, adjoining a beautiful historic hall and surrounded by a working farm including all manner of farmyard animals, such as newborn calves and lambs- so cute!"
Woke up every morning to the sound of chirping sparrows . Lovely quiet dog walks straight from the door. The owner was extremely friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. A really relaxing holiday, thank you.

"Never been to Shropshire before."
Really beautiful county and the holiday stay at the Granary was so lovely. Frank was really great, he even came to find us when we got lost arriving. The Granary was lovely, everything on one level and the surrounding country side was lovely and quiet. Just what we needed to get away from the rush of every day life. The dogs just loved it. Unlike other farms they were able to run in the fields ( away from sheep of course). Also having Frank's dogs to visit for evening biscuits was great. To sum up, it's the first holiday we have had where we did not want to go home. In fact, it was LOVELY!

"Very friendly neighbours in the farmhouse - especially the dogs!"
Gorgeous location on a working farm and the cottage was spacious and comfortable. The directions to the farm were good. We suspect the lack of loo paper on our arrival was an oversight. A couple of teabags would have been nice too. We failed to notice that there is a fridge but no freezer in the description. The dishwasher didn't seem to want to work, but washing up for only 2 was not a problem - once we'd bought more washing - up liquid, and a dish cloth etc. Excellent local supermarket in very nearby Craven Arms. The heating in the house was excellent, and we were able to dry our washing in the spacious airing cupboard ( the dryer with the washing machine did not seem to be effective) For the price, lack of things like loo roll, adequate washing-up liquid etc is not unreasonable. I suppose it's just that we've come to expect it in previous similar holiday cottages we've stayed in, and when you are only away for a week or less then you don't really want to have to buy or bring those sort of things with you; it just feels a bit stingy and unwelcoming on the part of the owners, which is a pity as they were very warm people. I wouldn't mind paying a little extra to be sure basic things like this are provided.
