  • "We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Linley Lane cottage."

The property is very well furnished with comfy sofas and beds. It was clean and tidy, and had lots of nice little extras like tea, coffee, soap etc which you don't always get, and was very much appreciated. This is clearly a cottage that welcomes dogs, as there is an extra little cupboard for all your dogs needs. The owners were very warm, friendly and helpful when we needed them, but otherwise left us to enjoy our stay. The location is fantastic for all sorts of great places around Shropshire. It's a wonderful place to visit, and we would definitely use this cottage again. Thank you for a lovely stay

  • "What a lovely holiday cottage."

The bedrooms and shower were fantastic. Big sociable kitchen was great too, with everything you could think of. Sitting room was "cosy" but we didn't really use it as it was summer. The tiny garden around the cottage is really beautiful and the location suited our needs well. The only comment I would make is that the access was not very easy for one of our party with some mobility problems and I don't think this was very clear from the description. The owners were on hand if needed, and friendly and helpful.

Many thanks for your feedback, which is very much appreciated. Sorry about the slight access problem - we do say that parking is nearby rather than immediately adjacent, but of course you can unload immediately outside. Property Owner

It really is a home from home with absolutely everything you could need or wish for. It's extremely well-equipped, warm, comfortable, dog-friendly and spotlessly clean with lots of extra little touches - and in a beautiful location with walks straight from the door. Ian and Ann are so helpful and yet totally respectful of guests' privacy at the same time. The area is great for walking and there are lots of interesting places (Bishops Castle, Clun, Montgomery) to visit. We'd totally recommend this cottage if you're looking for the perfect rural base from which to explore this stunning area.

Many thanks for your kind and positive feedback. (Apparently a technical issue prevented your comments from being published earlier.) It was great to see you return for a further visit and we look forward to seeing you again. Property Owner

It is a lovely property in a very peaceful place. The couple who own it were on hand if we needed anything but weren’t intrusive. The property was well equipped with new appliances, Netflix, fast broadband and was very clean and tastefully decorated. It is often the little things that make all the difference and the owners made it a home from home. They had left Prosecco and a carton of fresh milk in the fridge, a jar of homemade jam, biscuits, coffee, tea and sugar. They had also put up some Christmas decorations for us. We had a lovely relaxing time. Highly recommend

Perfect hosts, making it clear that they would be there if we needed anything, but at the same time totally respecting our privacy. The cottage has a lovely ambience and is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a really relaxing stay. A lot of effort has gone into the décor, the sofas and beds were comfortable, the kitchen/diner was spacious - and it’s also very dog friendly, which is important to us. Norbury is off the beaten track and there are many walks with stunning views straight from the cottage door. The cottage has a series of little maps covering the Shropshire Hills that were useful to take out and about. We fell totally in love with the cottage and the area and will definitely return for a repeat stay. If you’re looking for a cottage in a rural village setting that’s a perfect base for a walking or touring holiday, then Linley Lane Cottage totally fits the bill. Thank you.

We used this as a base to visit friends in Brosely, Ludlow and the Long Mynd. All easily reached with stunning scenery all around. The welcome was warm and friendly from the hosts. Kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. Pub is approximate 2 miles away but we did not get chance to visit. Cosy lounge with smart TV and comfy sofas. Bedrooms were a good size and comfortable beds. Good size shower with excellent water pressure. Small private area at front of cottage was useful for our dog and would be great to sit out in better weather. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.
