  • "We needed somewhere spacious with lots of seating for a family Xmas holiday and this fab house did exactly that."

We spent 5 nights, and didn't need to put the TV on once during our stay. This was a unique place that we will remember forever.

  • "Quirky comfortable place."

We enjoyed browsing some of the books. Good for a reunion as plenty of space. Excellent local pub/bar and the Persian restaurant is great and all within easy walking distance. Loads to see round the area. And thanks to Howard for sorting the fridge so quickly.

  • "Dorrington Court was the perfect holiday home which we booked for the opulent nature of the decor."

We immediately felt very confortable and at home and had everything we needed. Howard was the perfect host and we enjoyed hearing about what had been his familly home. Its location was perfect for visiting various places in beautiful Shropshire and Wales such as Powis Castle, Attingham House, Ludlow etc. I would have no hesitation in recomending Dorrington Court.

  • "Dorrington Court proved an absolutely perfect venue for my sisters and I to stay during our reunion weekend."

The house has been designed, furnished and equipped by the owner in a unique and extraordinary style. The house was super clean and there was everything you would need to make for a very comfortable stay. The owner communicated very well with us about our booking and even took the time to welcome us there and show us around the workings of the house as well as explain some of its history. We really enjoyed looking at the many books and cherished memorabilia on display. Out and about we found lots to do from shopping in the quaint shops of Ludlow and Church Stretton to lovely hikes in the hills but our favourite day out was the Ironbridge Gorge with its stunning views and interesting museums. The local pub was only a short walk away and their food proved first rate. We had a wonderful weekend and I would have no hesitation in recommending Dorrington Court to anyone.

  • "A truly unique holiday experience, ideally situated to explore the beautiful county of Shropshire."

Dorrington Court is a home of pure opulence with luxurious fittings and features abounding. There is so much to explore in the house alone with so many books, paintings and photos to muse upon. Howard, the owner, graciously welcomed us and shared with us openly about his family history which brought the house to life even more. We spent a very comfortable week there with our family of 7 adults. Would also highly recommend the Old Hall restaurant, specialising in Persian-influenced cuisine and only a few minutes walk away, which served us one of the most unique and enjoyable meals we had ever experienced! Thank you once again Howard for a wonderful week's holiday and for allowing us this insight into your life which added to our time away so much.

  • "Lovely house but needs some updating in bathrooms."

Only one proper shower head amongst 6 adults isnt convenient and taking baths each morning before going out isnt realistic. It was the only downside to the property .

Thank you for your feedback. We take comments very seriously and since your stay we have upgraded all the shower facilities to a high standard. We do hope you choose to stay with us again soon and enjoy the new deluxe shower systems. Property Owner

Every possible requirement was catered for, it was indeed home from home regarding facilities, everything provided was of the highest quality, especially china and glassware, there was absolutely nothing overlooked, we could wrote at length about the many delights of this home. Dorrington is a quiet village but houses a very welcoming pub The Horseshoes, good meals and friendly hosts and the local shop is stocked with everything one could possible want from a village shop, both establishments only a few minutes walk away.
