  • "We couldn’t sleep in one of the bedrooms because of the damp."

At 8am on the day of checkout (which wasn’t until 10am) the gardener turned up unannounced when our young children were playing in the garden and our nervous dog was out. He wanted to cut the grass which mean the kids couldn’t play out and we ended up leaving early.

  • "Beautiful cottage stunning views."

Cottage was very well equipped and we had a wonderful time with my partners son and daughter in law and their twin girls The only thing that let it down was the dirty looking sheet on our bed, it was old with black bubbles all over it making it look very dirt but when we turned the quilt down there was also a stain on the sheet. We did take photos if the owner s would like to see them

The hot tub was an added bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owner is helpful and responds to any needs quickly. Lots of supplies left in the cupboard too so you don't need to bring the essentials like oil. Highly recommend!

  • "Beautiful Cottage in a beautiful location!"

We didn’t hear a single car when staying at the cottage. Loved being able to see the sheep and countryside from every window. Definitely reccomend a stay at Dingle Cottage! The hot tub didn’t work for the first 4 days of our stay which really disappointed us as a group and we had members go home because of this but when it finally worked we enjoyed sitting in it and relaxing. We enjoyed the dart board and football table as well. Rooms were spotless clean and fresh. The owner is lovely and friendly and so was his maintenance man. The garden is perfect and safe for medium/big dogs but if you have little dogs I’d keep an eye on them but is also semi safe for them. It’s a beautiful property in a beautiful location and we are hoping to come again soon. Thank you Dingle Cottage

Everything is there that you need, and it was a brilliant space for us as a group of friends for a weekend. You can walk in many directions from the house into the stunning countryside. The local pub is quirky and good value and a short ish walk down the hill in the village.

Our family of x7 plus dogs had a very enjoyable week in this well equipped and well spread out property. Plenty of garden for the dogs to play, plus our selves to relax. Hot tub was a great treat to soak those aching legs after lots of hill walking, the Stiperstones are incredible. After a day of exploring a wonderful pub greats you at the bottom of the lane, with delicious food and ale they are all very dog friendly and welcoming making our holiday even better. Few slight maintenance issues, but sure those can be soon sorted would never stop us returning. Thankyou Dingle cottage

  • "We had a lovely week in the cottage."

The setting is superb and the pub at the end of the lane, which is quite steep, was friendly and the food was good. The cottage has a number of internal steps including 2 deep ones into the ground floor bedroom. The kitchen is very well equipped and both lounges are very comfortable. It was good value for money. The owner is really helpful and responded quickly to our query. Overall, I would recommend this place.

  • "Overall, great property that ticked all the boxes, was very well equipped and lovely location but a couple of things that could have made it 10/10."

    1. Comfier outside seating, 2. Hot tub lid, heavy and hard to take on/off and getting tatty, 3. there was far too much chlorine in the hot tub, made our eyes sting and throats hurt, 3. One of the mattresses was rather lumpy.

  • "Had a fantastic week, house is lovely and the scenery is breathtaking."

Garden is bigger than it looks in the pictures which is great for dogs. There is a large fridge / freezer and a separate built-in fridge if you are looking to do a weekly shop - we got a Tesco delivery. Walking routes on your doorstep. We had an evening meal and a lunch at the pub at the end of the road, the Stiperstones Inn both were lovely and dog friendly. All the locals we met were really friendly. It's a great place to relax and recharge.

  • "The property is idyllically situated, perfect for walking and exploring."

The house itself suited us, we were away with teenagers and grandparents so the younger generations used the bedrooms on the one side of the property and we had the bedrooms located on the other side, the downstairs bedroom was helpful for one of the party with mobility issues. It is worth noting that there are lots of steps in the property. The house itself spacious and cosy. The utility area is much needed especially with a dog. As mentioned in other reviews there are lots of flies as you’d expect in the countryside, so come armed with fly tape and spray! We had a great time and would definitely recommend.

  • "We had a delightful stay at this lovely large house tucked into the Shropshire Hills."

We arrived on the warmest day on record and were bowled over by the house. Large and accommodating our party of seven with ease. The hot tub was used by the kids throughout our stay and the cool 'snug' living room provided much needed cool. The setting of the house is amazing. Tucked away up a single lane road with houses appearing occasionally from each side it really was the very definition of seclusion. Just what we were looking for. The house had WiFi, which pleased the kids, and was spotless in its presentation. We would not hesitate in returning to this home. The owner, Mark, is very thoughtful and considerate in every detail. From sheep strolling into the garden, a wandering chicken, playing cards at the large kitchen table, sunning ourselves in the large garden, to visiting the pub at the end of the lane, we take away happy memories of our time here. What more can you ask for?

The house is very well laid out to cater for all needs The house is well equipped with lots of cooking equipment, crockery, utensils as expected, even logs for fire are provided. Plus items as an air fryer, sandwich toaster, if you need them, the only thing i would request would be hand towels for each of the guests, as well as the lovely bath sheets, and hand towel for the kitchen.. Also, when utilising the single beds as a king size, a king size duvet, rather than double, small points . The house is in a fabulous location for some fantastic walks, with a relax in the hot tub on return, with a pub and shop at the bottom of the road, what more do you need. The shop has everything and both are very welcoming. Any issues and Mark attends to it straight away. Looking forward to our return visit,

The house was beautiful and we enjoyed the evenings in front of the log burner with a class of wine. The local pub was welcoming and we enjoyed a drink there both evenings after our walks, we didn’t eat there so can’t comment on that. The setting was stunning and we took long hikes both days around the area, enjoying the hot tub afterwards. It was lovely not having to get the car out again until we were ready to leave. Our only gripe was the limited amount of crockery. There was only 8 of everything which was strange for a house which could accommodate 9. It meant we had to keep washing up as there were no dishwasher tablets. John’s shop in the village was essential for that. The wine, milk and bread was a lovely touch but to be honest we would have preferred a few dishwasher tablets and some spare toilet roll.

  • "We have just returned from a fabulous week at Dingle Cottage."

Everything was as described but the garden space was amazing. We had brought our own sun chairs and blankets as there are only the picnic benches to sit on outside. We were blessed with the weather and spent most of our time lazing in the garden with the occasional dip in the hot tub. As the cottage is in a very rural area there are quite a lot of flies around. The shop in the village sells the sticky strips that you hang up and these are very effective! There are numerous walks from the cottage and many more in the surrounding area - I would recommend getting an OS map for the area on your phone. Our dogs loved it here, the whole garden is very well fenced off and they loved the steam running down one side which meant they could go for a paddle when they wanted to. We ate out twice at the Nags Head in Pontesbury - it isn’t dog friendly but there are lots of tables outside and the food is lovely.

The house is wonderful, a real home from home equipped with everything we needed for self catering with an 8 month old baby! The owner Mark left us to our own devices but was there in a flash if we had any queries. Stunning scenery and walks from the front door and a fabulous reception and food at The Stiperstones Inn at the bottom of the hill. Also a great little shop selling everything and everything you might need. The locals are so friendly and we felt so welcome. Loved the cows in the field over the stream and staring into the night sky from the hot tub of an evening. A great find, we will definitely be back!

The hot tub, the football net, the patio area and 2 separate lounges, one of which was the snug, meant everyone had space to do their own thing. The location is absolutely stunning. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We only had 3 nights but will be back to stay for longer as soon as we can. It is so relaxing and the hot tub just tops it off. The only thing I will say is that some of the matresses could do with being softer but that is only personal preferance. This is a place ideal for children and dogs there is so much space and with 2 lounges and 5 bedrooms it makes it perfect for larger families or 2 familes. The owner was very responsive and easy to deal with as well. 5 stars from us!
