  • "Lovely place to stay but a couple of tweeks would help."

The hot water runs warm for a few moments, then goes cold, then warm again, then cold etc. Would be nice if a few more knives, forks and spoons. Loads of info about area and great tv and games.

  • "Our 2nd visit, to a cottage that meets our every need."

Clean and comfy and we can just step in and feel at home. So convenient for the beautiful towns, eateries and many miles of gorgeous Shropshire countryside. Just sorry that we could only take a 3 night break, but appreciate that the owners will welcome even short=break visitors. Longer visit next time !

Thank you for your kind review. Welcome anytime short/long breaks. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay, look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

  • "A lovely, cosy cottage, very spacious with a great kitchen and dining area."

Wifi was brilliant and a bonus having Netflix. Great selection of games, books for a rainy day, especially if you have children. Pub just two minutes away, with an excellent menu and friendly owners. The cottage is a short drive to a variety of great places to visit. The stairs in this property, would be challenging for small children or anyone with mobility issues. However there is a downstairs toilet as well as one upstairs, so it limits the stair climbing. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

All amenities, (beds, towels, seating, white goods in kitchen, wifi etc) of the highest quality and the hosts had provided everything you could possible need for a really comfortable and luxurious holiday. Many thoughtful extras for children like crayons and board games, pamphlets for tourers, books for readers or explorers, and a little welcome pack. Well done, these host !!

Thank you so much for your review, it is much appreciated. We are glad you enjoyed your stay here in Shropshire. Property Owner

  • "Charming cottage in a pleasant location; friendly, lively country pub right opposite!"

Nice touch having the Christmas tree up, for guests, thanks! Only minor thing I would suggest, is maybe include a mop & bucket, at cottage, please? Helps clear up muddy paw prints, this time of year!

  • "Very nice cottage, clean and well kept."

The welcome pack was a very nice thought. The only couple of slight moans we had was that the road outside the cottage is 30 mph but most vehicles seem to travel much quicker and the Red Lion pub 100 yards down the road does not allow dogs in the pub or the beer garden which was a disappointment but one I am sure they will come to regret, hopefully.

  • "Nice very old cottage, tidy park your car in front of the garage, but no lights on over night as security, only on a senser !"

! ,bit of a smell from the chimney, soot smell, maybe needs cleaning, otherwise good plenty of room down stairs ,kitchen dining room, open plan, with a separate front room, take care holiday makers on the roads bit narrow, people walking their dogs etc ,and people riding their horses.

  • "The key collection safe is at the rear of the property and this is not stated."

The location is down as a gps coordinate which we are not familiar with.easier to say first house on right entering from north or last house on left from the south.the heating was programmed to come on at 6.00am far too early for most on holiday.Hedges either side of car access are too high for safe exit. All the above are constructive comments and did not deter from our enjoying the property Also if you are taking a dog the pub over the road is not dog friendly in fact they dont want them anywhere near the pub not even in the garden

Thank you for your feedback. Apologies about the check information, this has now been updated and the details are clear with instruction on how to access the property and where to find the keys. Property Owner

  • "A cute cottage with a spacious kitchen/diner."

A nicely shaded table and chairs in the garden. It was great to have the garage to store our bikes. We had a lovely week exploring scenic Shropshire on foot and by bike. The very friendly staff at the Red Lion pub almost opposite served very reasonably-priced and tasty meals.
