  • "Unfortunately the cottage doesn't have any heating controls and after speaking to the owner after arrival I was told the central heating comes on in the morning and again in the evening around 7pm."

After a day walking you return to a cold cottage being unable to warm up until later. Kitchen facilities are very basic with a small half oven.

So sorry if you were cold, please anyone say and I will adjust the heating. I never put my own central heating on until nearer winter, but appreciate this has been a dismal summer and autumn! The little cooker is a stop gap as the original gas cooker was too much trouble. I now have a beautiful, reconditioned full size, fan assisted electric oven which will be installed shortly. Thanks for your comments. Property Owner

  • "A bijou apartment that provided everything we needed."

A warm welcome from the property owner who provided lots of great suggestions on places to go. In the property, the leaflets/booklets about the local area were very useful. The surrounding countryside provided multiple options of footpaths and we walked for miles without having to get into the car!

Thanks very much for the kind words. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay, particularly as this summer has enjoyed much rubbish weather! Property Owner

  • "Upon arrival fo the property we were greated by the owner and her lovely doggos."

The owner is very friendly, helpful, kind and happy to point you to the beautiful local spots! We had everything we needed there, but obviously bring your own food! Although, there's plenty of eggs! The owner was thoughtful enough to put shower gels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cleaning supplies, towels, a hairdryer and even extra fluffy blankets for those cosy nights in, out for us. The local scenery is so beyond beautiful too. My fiance and I were the first people to stay at the property that aren't friends / family of the owners, and we certainly will not be the last. Beyond happy with our experience, this is the best holiday we've had in a while. Will definitely return. Thank you for having us guys, and thank you for giving us such an amazing time.

Thanks for such a lovely review. I am so glad you enjoyed your holiday up here - despite the weather - Thanks also for leaving the apartment so tidy, and I look forward to seeing you and/or friends and family again! Property Owner

The Stiperstones Hill range is dominated by dramatic quartzite tors, which tower above an unspoilt heathland, the most famous is the Devil’s Chair, whilst Manstone Rock is the highest point at 536m above sea level and offers stunning views on a clear day. A short drive away is one of England's finest heritage towns with over 600 listed buildings; Shrewsbury nestles on a loop of the River Severn. Shrewsbury has a magnificent abbey as well as Shrewsbury Castle, which stands in beautiful gardens and is home to the Shropshire Regimental Museum. There's plenty of interesting things to do in the area, with Attingham Park, Wroxeter Roman City, the museums at Ironbridge, and the castle and Michelin-starred restaurants of Ludlow, all making this hillside village the perfect touring spot for your Shropshire adventure.
