  • "If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway then this is for you."

No light pollution so very dark at night which makes falling asleep really easy. A lovely cosy cabin which all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. Amenities within easy driving distance (shops etc) . Some very interesting places to visit nearby too and good food. Lovely friendly residents in the local areas and Sally Anne the owner of the cabin is a a pleasure to meet. There is another cabin located at the rear of this property but it is slightly offset and unobtrusive to your stay. Lots of birds and squirrels to keep you entertained if you don't venture out. A very enjoyable holiday.

  • "Wonderful cosy lodge with a helpful friendly owner."

It is in a great location for many trips and walks both in Shropshire and North Wales. Also in close proximity to pubs, takeaways, restaurants and supermarket. The verandah was a relaxing place to sit, whatever the weather, to take in the incredible views. The lodge was well equipped with everything we required and more. However, the Sykes listing would benefit from an update as there are now improved smart tv's and no dvd players (don't buy dvds like me!) We had a fabulous week and would love to return one day.

  • "Although we had a lovely stay at the accommodation and had no problems with it the listing that we booked was not accurate."

The accommodation was meant to be no children. You allowed us to book 2 adults 2 children. I only discovered the error the night before our trip meaning a very panicked conversation with the host took place making it all quite stressful. Luckily she was very amenable and put us at ease that it wasn’t a problem (despite it being against her usual booking rules) we had a lovely time and would recommend the accommodation but wasn’t very impressed with you as a booking company.

  • "Lovely cabin which has everything you require,so peaceful and relaxing had a nice chilled out week and feel totally refreshed."

The cabin itself is ideally located to go and explore the surrounding area, cross over the border into wales and took the two dogs to the numerous country parks they had a lovely time, the cabin is in a big field so the dogs could come and go as they please mostly they went visiting the people in the other nearby cabin they also had a dog ,and they got on famously,Also sally Anne was lovely and on hand if you needed her, but I doubt if you will I can’t fault the cabin. Would definitely recommend this place if you want a nice chilled holiday .There is a lovely chip shop in Whittington called the Whittington chip shop which is well worth a visit,it is only ten minutes in the car if you fancy a takeaway.

  • "We had a fabulous week at this lovely log cabin and thoroughly enjoyed having the place to ourselves where we could enjoy the peace and quiet and stunning views."

We were unlucky with the weather but it didn’t stop us getting out and about to enjoy Shropshire. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything we needed in the kitchen. It was good to have a full size fridge and freezer too. Sally-Anne was only a phone call away if we needed anything which we didn’t as she had thought of everything. The only thing that might need improving were the showers which were rather weak but it didn’t diminish our enjoyment at this property. Would highly recommend it! Thank you for a super stay.

Thank you both soo much for your wonderful feedback… I’m only sorry I couldn’t have change the weather for you !!.. I have just spoken to my plumber to see if he can improve the showers… He’s on the case… Many thanks Property Owner

  • "My dog refused to come home!"

Cedar Log Cabin is doggy heaven. As we had glorious weather the doors to the cottage were normally open and the dogs loved the freedom. My friend and I instantly felt chilled and relaxed and found the views stunning. The cabin is well equipped and there are are a number of small luxuries like dressing gowns. Sally-Anne, the owner is friendly and went out of her way to help with issues like getting our online food order delivered to the right place.

With 5 acres of green grass field infront was just so peaceful. Bailey our dog loved it too. Everything you need is there. If you want peace and quite this is the holiday for you. Loads of lovely walks nearby. Aqueducts are a must. Chester and Shrewsbury great for walks and shopping. Enjoy!

  • "Overall the log cabin was great."

The facilities were as advertised. User manuals for the cooker in particular would be useful as we had never used that type of electric hob before. In the end we used the internet to give us the basics and it worked fine afterwards. We travelled with a 96 year old and some sort of plastic chair that could be put in the bath / shower to allow use of the shower might be worth considering. We loved the position and access to the field which was great for the dogs. Loved the stay and the county of Shropshire and will be back in the future.
