The open-plan living area is tastefully decorated, with a double bed, wall-mounted TV and seating, with bistro-style dining table and chairs for mealtimes.

The separate kitchen is furnished with an airfryer, fridge with ice box and microwave so perfect for preparing quick meals or a tasty breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.

The shower room, with a large corner shower, is located nearby, ideal for freshening up before you start your day's adventures.

Doors open from the living area onto a gravelled garden at the rear of the lodge, which overlooks the owner’s smallholding and countryside beyond.

Chard Junction Holidays

Chard Junction Holidays are a group of two holiday properties set within a small holiday park on the outskirts of South Chard in Somerset. Boarding the neighbouring counties of Devon & Dorset, this is the ideal location for those wishing to get out and explore all this diverse area offers. Set behind an electric gate, each property has one parking space and enjoys an outside seating area, allowing you to make the most of the sunny days. A small convenience store, perfect for stocking up on your everyday essentials, is located in the village. The nearby towns of Chard or Axminster offer supermarkets, a good selection of shops, and cafes. When it comes to eating out, the area has a rich variety of village pubs and farm shops, giving you the opportunity to try the local food and beverages. There is no shortage of things to see and do when it comes to exploring the area. Cricket St Thomas is a beautiful 18th-century historic manor house set among walled gardens overlooking the River Axe. This popular setting is featured in the TV comedy To the Manor Born, and there's a lovely walking trail around the water with an abundance of wildlife to look out for on the way. South Chard is a small village resting a couple of miles from the bustling parent town of Chard, in the picturesque setting of South Somerset. It has a pub/restaurant and a convenience store for your immediate amenities, whilst Chard provides a larger choice to suit all preferences. Close to the border of Devon, a short drive will bring you towards the Devonshire market town of Axminster which perches between the Blackdown Hills AONB and the East Devon AONB. Featuring a wealth of history at the Axminster Heritage Museum found in Thomas Whitby's house, whilst also benefitting from its close proximity to a wide-range of trails for walking, hiking and cycling particularly at Over the Hill to Holditch with your furry companion by your side. South Chard is an excellent choice for a remote break to this wonderful Somerset location.
