"We had a great weekend at Buckland House."
The home was ideal for what we wanted. The games room was 5*. The swimming pool was cold despite it being heated! We didn’t have enough hot water but there was information in the welcome book on using the boost switch. Maybe this could be a bit bigger/ prominent. Disappointing that there wasn’t a welcome gift. I have been to a lot of houses/ cottages and have always had something left, even if it’s a pint of milk or a bottle of wine.

"Thank you for such a lovely weekend away."
The whole party had the best time and we all thought the house was beautiful. Very well equipped with everything we needed. I personally think you 'under sell' the property, half our party were children and there was so much for them to do. My only negative would be there is no blind on the main bathroom window which we didn't like.

"House was incredible."
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is a great place for a large group and there is plenty of space to socialise. The pool isn’t very warm but this wasn’t a problem for us (the weather wasn’t great the day we used it so I assume this added to the coolness). Would maybe suggest additional seating near the pool, maybe benches with tables would work. Would also suggest adding a bit of info re local taxi companies in the info booklet. Thank you for a fab weekend!

"Pool was not heated and spoilt the stay"
Hi Thank you for the feedback, this is the first time this has been raised. I just wanted to confirm the heating was on however it’s a ground source heat pump, it’s a very large pool and can struggle when the temperature changes suddenly which did when you visited us, it is ultimately dependent on the outside temperature. We are installing a new pool heat system this week to ensure we can have more stability on the temperature. Property Owner

About the location
TAUNTON
Bridgwater 11 miles; Tiverton 21 miles; Weston-super-Mare 30 miles
The county town of Somerset, Taunton is the perfect cottage holiday destination. The town has excellent buildings with charming stone and Tudor architecture, and there is also fascinating history in the town stretching back over 1000 years including a 10th century monastery. Taunton boasts a choice of museums and parks, one of which has held the Taunton Flower Show for over 150 years.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Quantock and Blackdown Hills Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are easily accessible, as well as the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks slightly further afield, plus Swell Wood, Ham Wall and Greylake nature reserves. If a day by the sea is what you're after, the coast is around 20.4 miles away and home to Blue Anchor Bay and St Audries Bay near Watchet; Burnham-on-Sea beach; Kilve beach near Minehead and, of course, the popular seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare, 32.7 miles away but well worth the journey with its great range of activities.
