  • "A perfect stay!"

Our hosts, Julie and Stuart, were superb and made our entire family very welcome. The property was cosy, clean and had everything our family of 4 could possible need. We would definitely recommend this property to others. Thank you for the huge chocolate brownie cake, the rides on the go cart and don't forget the tin opener

  • "The Granary is a beautiful property offering some peace and quiet and was a perfect place for us to get together as a family for my sister's 60th birthday."

The hosts, Julie and Stuart could not have been more accommodating. The home made lemon drizzle cake from Julie was to die for and the bottle of Prosecco in the fridge was a lovely surprise. Julie very kindly sent directions in advance which were super helpful as we all were arriving from different directions. The hot tub is maintained daily by Stuart and was simply divine on an evening. We enjoyed using the log burner too which heated the ground floor in no time! There is an abundance of leaflets available at The Granary offering places to visit options but we also found that Julie and Stuart were happy to recommend some places to go too. This is one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in and would highly recommend this as somewhere to stay for anyone looking for a bit of luxury and/or some peace and quiet.. It was fabulous

The owners were very welcoming and friendly and the hot tub was maintained throughout our stay. The cottage is very remote however and people with electric vehicles will find it difficult to find somewhere nearby to charge. There is charging at Wiveliscombe but this only low voltage.

Thank you for your positive review of The Granary and that you had a lovely stay. We always were possible respond to requests for additional facilities and have indeed prior to the post of your review installed a metered EV charging point at The Granary available for visitors to use at Kwh cost price. Wiveliscombe 4 miles away has 6 EV charging points with the County town of Somerset, Taunton 14 miles away has multiple fast charge EV stations. The Granary is centrally situated to many wonderful attractions which previous visitors have commented on their reviews. Stuart and Julie Property owners Property Owner

We visited with Mum, Hubby, Son and girlfriend and dog. Everything you could possibly need is on hand for everyone's needs. Downstairs bedroom was a must for us. Julie and Stuart were there if needed, but were never intrusive. Hot tub was checked daily (even our dog didn't know Stuart had been). I had asked about a blender before leaving home and when we got to the property, there was a brand new one available - wow! Accommodation is cosy, clean and comfortable, plenty of room available for hanging clothes, etc. The kitchen (and equipment) is amazing and so were the scones, jam and cream waiting for our arrival (oh, and don't forget the prosecco). Such a lovely, quiet location with plenty of walks nearby and within relatively easy (lots of winding roads) reach to many wonderful places to visit. Wivvy is a nice town to visit and we loved Bampton (you must visit 'Spelt' - excellent food). Would I recommend The Granary - ABSOLUTELY. Thank you Julie and Stuart

The house was clean and homely, the scones delicious!! What would be helpful would be instructions on recycling and how to use Sky. The signal we realise is not brilliant and they have done everything to strengthen it, but we still struggled, probably because we’re technophobes!! But no complaints, lovely part of the UK would stay again no hesitation.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback following your stay at our cottage. We are always on hand to answer any questions and deal with any issues, and we are very sorry you had difficulties with the Sky system during your stay, this was addressed as quickly as possible and was as a result of damage caused by a previous guest, we hope it didn't have too much of an impact on your holiday.
